Who would have thought that in a school with eight years of education, The entire student council would be composed of fifth years.
And, it’s not because they’re good at negotiating or come from rich families either.
No, the six members of the student council are known as the ‘Golden Generation’, and are from various places on the continents. Two of them are royalty from the Elven and Human empires, two are from nobility, one’s from a merchant family, and the last was born a commoner. They all share one feature though.
They are all monsters.
Apparently, the weakest member reached level forty last year, and the strongest is in the fifties. Given that most of them are only a few years older than me, they’re well deserving of the council positions. Especially since they could outmatch most of the teachers that had been sent as ‘reinforcements’.
I’m kind of looking forward to meeting them, though, since I have a sneaking suspicion that at least one of them has reincarnated. Otherwise, they all just naturally had that talent—Which is very, very unlikely. Each one of them has the potential to become national heroes, standing at the apex of strength on the continents.
Well, at least the apex that’ll exist under me, after I get older.
If I survive past twenty this time, that is.
Well, other than the team comprised of the student council, there was also the other three teams with teachers. Since we had already encountered the two mage teachers, the other three teams would have the teachers using warrior arts. They’ll be even easier for me to deal with, since I could just attack them from long range.
It looked like the rest of this exam would be a piece of cake.
Actually, looking back, it turned out to be disappointingly easy.

(POV ???)
I’ve heard some interesting information from the spies I’d placed in the Elven Empire. Though, I don’t really know what it means yet.
Apparently, the Empress had adopted a half-demon child into the imperial family. While she argued that the elves needed her power, I still don’t see how the nobility had been able to set aside their hatred for the offsprings of demon and elf for long enough to accept this.
There’s more to this, I just know there is.
Unfortunately, I only just received word of this development in the last two weeks, even though it took place so many months ago. The elven nobility were uncharacteristically tight-lipped over this matter, and the rest of the empire as a whole didn’t know about it.
No, there’s definitely something I don’t know about this.
Hell, I’m the Human Empire’s spymaster, and information gatherer. Not knowing something pisses me off.
I think the new imperial family member is named Katariah. Obviously she holds the name Silver as well, after being legitimized.
Well, since I learned of her existence, I’ve spent the past two weeks trying to track her movements. It’s made easier due to her particular characteristics. Young-looking, with silver hair, golden slit-pupil eyes, and two horns, she’s really easy to track.
Especially inside the elven empire, where any demon-kin are closely watched by the populace.
Of course, it made sense that she would go to the Silver Academy. Even geniuses needed to be nurtured, and putting her with other geniuses is the best way to do that. She’s reportedly at the right age to start, as well. Luckily, with the others we’re sending to that particular Academy, I can find out more about her through my spies.
After all, those seven will be going with a group of other talented students to mask themselves, and one or two extras added onto that entourage won't make a noticeable difference.
I was still a little upset at the actions of my superiors, though. If we have the heroes in our castle, then why not teach them here, and keep their power localized? Why send them off to a foreign academy?
I’ll never understand politics…

(POV Kai)
The end of the exam came much sooner than I expected.
Only a week passed from when I had been transported in, when the signal indicating the end of the test came. A pulsating ball of blue fire arched up into the sky, and exploded with a roar.
I hadn’t known what it had meant until I got Az to explain it to me.
Basically, all the groups had to gather at the forest entrance, where more transport runes would bring them back to the academy.
I’ll admit, I’m more than a little disappointed. After those first action packed days, nothing of note occurred. We never met another group, though we did find one more dungeon—Just another tier two, though.
I wondered what had led the ones running the exams to end them a whole three weeks early. After all, they were supposed to go for two months total.
Never-the-less, it took the group a day to reach the forest’s entrance, set between a dip in the valley bowl encompassing the forest. Apparently, the groups had arrived in that same place, and were given a week to spread out before attempting their objectives in the forest.
When we got there, a large transport rune greeted us, set into a perfectly flat stone floor. It easily held all of us in it, plus our supplies. After making sure that all the tents and personal belongings were touching at least one person, everyone began pouring mana into the rune. I really didn’t want to do it. After all, look at what had happened the last time I had used one of these runes. Well, I could hope that a large scale one would be different.
I ended up being so, so wrong.
It was worse.
After the transport happened, and I finished puking my guts out, and destroyed the unfortunate puddle afterwards, I regained my bearings somewhat.
I was in an atrium with the rest of the black group, and there were official teachers in the room, helping the fifth year students after the transport. One took the objective pursued by the group, verifying that it was the real thing—In this case, the objective had been a large monster’s egg. Another teacher took all the dungeon cores we had found so far, and counted them up. There was a total of five from us, due to the two we had conquered personally, and the others from the blue and green groups. All but one were from tier two dungeons.
I spotted Headmaster Flavius standing off to the side, and he motioned for me to walk with him.
We left the atrium, and I walked beside him as we went to his office on the other side of the campus.
(Flavius) “What did you think of the teacher’s exam?”
He suddenly asked me, while continuing to look forward.
(Kai) “It wasn’t bad. It felt a little nonsensical, though.”
(Flavius) “Nonsensical?”
(Kai) “Yeah. I feel like there should be better ways to select teachers, instead of throwing them into a combat situation.”
(Flavius) “Ah, well, we don’t really care how strong a teacher is. We do things this way to verify their personality.”
(Kai) “But why not just conduct an interview for that? Isn’t that how other schools do it?”
(Flavius) “Think of it this way—When is a teacher more likely to hide their true personality—in front of a panel of judges, or when they're thrown among those weaker than them?”
(Kai) “I still don’t get it. Why not just keep an eye on new teachers for the first few months?”
Flavius murmured something about me not understanding what’s fun, and kept walking.
Eventually, we reached his office.
(Flavius) “You’ll be happy to know that most of the judges are willing to let you teach. There was one who was somewhat concerned by your ‘sadistic tendencies’? —But in the end he agreed that you are capable of teaching.”
(Kai) “Ah, so you guys were watching the whole time.”
(Flavius) “Not the whole time, no. We did see all the important bits though.”
(Kai) “Speaking of important, why was the exam ended early?”
The headmaster cringed a little, while sitting down behind his wooden desk.
(Flavius) “Ah, that was because there were only two groups still able to contend each other. There was your group, the black group, and there was the student council’s team. They had come across the two groups you hadn’t, and wiped out their fighting abilities and spirit—teachers included.”
(Kai) “But wouldn’t the normal course of action be to let the two dominant groups clash against each other?”
(Flavius) “Yes. But, in this case, not only did I know that you would annihilate them, I also think it wouldn’t be good for relations between them and you, if you guys fight the first time you meet.”
(Kai) “So you ended the exam? That seems slightly unfair to the rest of the students.”
(Flavius) “Sending you there in the first place ended up being unfair.”
I had to admit, this was true. I don’t know what would have happened to the black group had I not gone. They likely would not have done as well with a normal teacher.
(Flavius) “Ah! I do have a question for you. Feel free to not answer, but I’ve been curious about it for a while now. What level are you?”
I looked at him incredulously. I had thought Niten had already informed him.
(Kai) “It’s seventy-four now. I gained a level during the teacher’s exam.”
Oh. You look like a dead fish, with your mouth open that far, Headmaster Flavius.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
(Flavius) “Sev..seventy-four!? How!?”
(Kai) “What do you mean, how? I’ve lived five lives before, I have two powerful bloodlines running through my veins, and I worked hard.”
(Flavius) “But...Seventy-four!? The student council members are already regarded as absolute monsters, but this… This potential is terrifying. I think I can now see why the elven nobility had no choice but to accept your existence.”
I laughed a little. Even though I had told him my explanation on how I got to where I am, there are still some things about me that I don’t understand. It’s a little scary not knowing everything there is to know about your own body. Then again, it’s even scarier to be weak, and die before doing anything notable.
If it brings me strength, then I shouldn’t fear it, right?
(Kai) “So, am I a teacher now, or what?”
(Flavius) “I’d say so. Though, there’s the question of what students to give you.”
I nodded. That had been something I had been wondering as well.
(Flavius) “Well, what sort of things would you be teaching?”
(Kai) “Common sense.”
He laughed.
(Flavius) “Ha! You, teaching common sense? That’s like a wolf teaching a bird to fly.”
I frowned a little, adding a little theatricality to the conversation.
(Kai) “My common sense exceeds the understandings of normal people!”
Besides, most of my common sense consists of survival tactics and growing stronger.
Wait. Wouldn’t it just be a combat class, then?
Eh. I can just teach the common sense of combat.
(Flavius) “Well, we’ll try to set something up for you, then. But first, now that you’re back, I think you have some people to meet.”
Flavius, still sitting behind his desk, motioned to the side, where a wood door led to another room. There was a plaque on the door that read ‘Student Council’.
I had been thinking about that door, actually. I hadn’t known if the council was behind it presently, and was intending to ask the Headmaster about it. Apparently, they were in session at the moment. Good news for me then.
Flavius got up from his chair, and walked over to the door. He knocked on it, and pushed it open a moment later. I followed him in.
The room held an oval shaped table, with eight seats around it. Six of them were occupied. Flavius and I sat in the open seats.
I looked around, and felt that I was meeting an interesting group.
Two of the members were elves, one with golden hair and a face that could only belong to an ike-man, and the other being a cool looking beauty with dark purple hair. There was a rugged looking human with a long scar stretching across his face, his brown hair cropped short. Another human greatly resembles a toad, with a large and fleshy face. I think he served as a reminder that student council members in real life, unlike those found in so many stories, can and will be ugly. Though, he turned to me, and I saw his eyes. Those icy blue orbs held an intellect that shouldn’t be underestimated, for any reason. The last human was a slight and petite person, with stunning features and long blonde hair.
The last member of the council, however, was a short and stout demon, with green skin and two horns curving straight up from the sides of her head, like the remnants of a crown.
(Flavius) “Let me introduce you. Kai, this is the student council, student council, this is Kai.”
After that, he introduced the individual members of the group, starting with the two elves—the ike-man being named Kris and the other elf Aslan. The human with the scar was named Hilman, while the ugly one was named Xavier. The remaining human was either a girl with the name Fred, or a very effeminate boy. I was leaning towards him being male. The demon’s name was Nalefer.
From a cursory glance of the room while using〖Analyze〗, I could classify each of their strengths. Kris was the weakest in the room based on level, being level forty-eight at sixteen years old. The order then went Xavier, Hilman, Nalefer, and Aslan. Unexpectedly, the strongest was Fred, with a level of fifty-nine. Even more unexpected, his full name was Fredrik von Basel, a member of the Human Empire’s imperial family. He holds the title of prince.
This wasn’t every significant, though, considering that there are something like twenty imperial princes from that family.
He could truly be called a monster though, since he’s only fifteen.
Though, if they called him a monster, then what would I be?
After they had all been introduced, the council began asking questions.
(Kris) “While I am happy to meet new students, why is this half-demon child important enough to meet us, and you, Headmaster?”
(Xavier) “Headmaster, I was wondering the same thing. Perhaps, are you wanting to give her a spot on the student council?”
I smiled while Flavius laughed.
(Flavius) “No, no. Nothing of the sort. I just thought it would be a good idea for you guys to meet her. Kai, perhaps you should introduce yourself in greater detail to them.”
I nodded, and told them all about myself.
(Kai) “My full name is Katariah Nadine Silver....”
There were some shocked looks around the table. The elves obviously knew about the girl who had been brought into the imperial family, and Nalefer stood up abruptly.
(Nalefer) “Nadine!? You mean, like the demon lord candidate that had been sealed eleven years ago!?”
Again, I nodded.
(Kai) “That was my brother. He had been sealed after ensuring my safety from the elven nobility. Though, after a decade of calming down, they allowed me to walk free with my name intact.”
I said, speaking of how they had allowed me to use my mother’s name—Silver.
(Xavier) “That’s quite the origin. But I still don’t understand why you’re here now, speaking to us.”
(Kai) “Ah, that’s because I’m not finished. You see, I won’t be attending this school as a student when the new term officially starts.”
I paused for dramatic flair, and the council members looked at me, confused and curious.
(Kai) “I’ll be attending as a new teacher.”
While there were some flabbergasted looks, a few of the members took this as a joke.
(Hilman) “Oi, oi. Will you be havin’ our legs, old man? No way this shrimp’ll be teaching. She has’ta be younger than us.
(Flavius) “It’s true.”
I piped up, adding on to Headmaster's verification.
(Kai) “In fact, I am younger than you. I’m only thirteen, after all. However, I’m much wiser than all of you, and stronger.”
Fred spoke up for the first time, with a sleepy sounding voice.
(Fred) “I can accept the teaching bit, but the ‘wiser’ and stronger parts seem false.”
(Flavius) “No, she’s right. Unfortunately, while you are all considered the greatest of a generation, and the current leaders of your generation, Kai would wipe the floor with all of you. If you are all considered monsters, than Kai is a natural calamity.”
The council turned to me, shock evident in their eyes, and also a slight hunger.
(Xavier) “Headmaster, if she’s that much better than us, then why haven’t we ever heard of her?”
(Kai) “Hey! I’m right here, you know. And if you must know, that’s because up until six months ago, I was only level twenty.”
(Flavius) “What!? I hadn’t heard about this! Hell, I thought that you had built your way to level seventy-four from birth, not over the course of a half a year!”
I could see the council sink deeper into shock after hearing my level, and how long I took to reach it.
(Kai) “I just grow faster than...well, everyone. Besides, I leveled up in a tier six dungeon. It wasn’t without great effort that I did it.”
Judging by the reactions of the people around me, I think I’ve broken their ability to cope. In fact, one seemed to refuse what I was saying.
(Hilman) “No. You ‘ave ta be lyin’. Dar’s no way any’un could ‘evel up that quick.”
Hilman’s already thick accent great even more dense. I wonder where he came from, to have such an accent. He got up, pointing a finger at me, and began to say something.
I decided they needed a demonstration of my power to be able to come to terms with it, and released the pressure I normally held back. Instantly, the room filled with an oppressive air due to the sheer amount of mana circulating through the air. The amount of mana was abnormal for even someone of my level, nearly twice as much as it should be.
It was such that Hilman immediately fell back into his seat, and the others were able to focus again, after being thoroughly shocked by me.
They looked at me, and saw a cute little girl with silver hair and gold tinged eyes with two white horns curling to the side of my face from above my pointed ears. They also felt the extremely heavy aura around me, contradicting what they saw. It was a contradiction they seemed to come to terms with, though.
I pulled back the pressure, and they seemed to breath easy again.
(Flavius) “I trust you all understand now why I wanted you to meet her, and why she’s allowed to become a teacher?”
They all nodded emphatically. Good. It looks like they’re ready for the question I’ve been wanting to ask them.
(Kai) “Well, it’s nice to meet everyone. Now, has anyone lived another life before this one?”
