Notes from the Demon King, page 105:
The relationship between the sexes somewhat different than it it is on Earth. Partially being affected by the fact that the norms of relationships are quite different here. It is also affected by the fact that magic exists so any clashes that would come from a difference in physical strength simply have not happened.
Even still in a world where all things are more or less equal stop certain people from feeling like they are better than others simply from what's in their pants.

CHAPTER NINETEEN
Hailey-
Hailey sat next to Kenn in an off-white examination room, a nurse going over her notes on Kenn’s condition.
“You're good to go Mr. Maningfold. Your channels are a bit bruised, but nothing serious. You’re lucky that Mrs. Glouien was there to heal you on the spot” the nurse, a feline looking beast kin woman who Hailey would guess was tiger-kin specifically, due to the stripes on her tail (was that racist…?) “I would only recommend using as little magic as possible in the next two to three days”
Hailey frowned, partly because she was embarrassed at the praise, and partly because the healing hadn't been all her…
“Congratulations on your first trial by the way. Though I have to know what could you possibly have been trying to cast that would leave you in such a state Early spells for your affinity are famously low cost.”
Kenn chuckled nervously “I was… uh… trying to do something a little to fancy”
Hailey stopped her self from rolling her eyes.
The goodie two shoes was awful at lying and that was coming from a girl with literal holiness flowing through her soul.
Luckily, the nurse didn't seem to notice or just didn't care as she said “Well just dont do it again, whatever it was. By the way did you feel the strange magical phenomena a bit ago, it was like time stopped or something.”
Kenn visibly winced, before another nurse, this one looking like he had once been human but ‘vas za vampire vow’ (that was definitely racist…) cast a quick blood magic spell on them, which he said would accelerate any physical healing and prevent aches the next day, complimentary, and sent them on their way.
They came out back into the main guild hall to find Giel effectively chatting up a table of attractive people, who were all cooing and giggling at his jokes, and Ali and Sandy already getting quite a few cups head start on their bar plans.
Note, they had only been in there for around thirty minutes.
Hailey sighed “Kenn could you go get Giel for me” she asked then remembering the hotties at that table added “and keep your eyes to your self”
“Yes ma’am”
With that Hailey strode over to her female companions, casting two quick cleanses, a basic spell she had long since memorized, to remove some of the ‘poison’ from thier system.
“Damn it my buzz!!!” Sandra complained
“You’ll have plenty of time to get hammered later tonight, for now we have things to do.”
Ali grunted but didn't complain as Sandra did.
The women stood deciding to make their way to the door, the boys having already left, but a group stepped out in front of them, obstructing their path.
The trio was headed by a tall man, standing about a foot over Sandra, with white skin, not pale like Hailey’s own but an eggshell color that would be unnatural on any human or elf, his hair was a metallic shade of silver as were his eyes. One of the chartioin race. He wore clothes that screamed ‘wealthy adventure’, leather armor with obvious enchantments, the kind designed to be shiny so they were visible to anyone who looked, over which he wore a pompous cloak that was also enchanted, made dubiously obnoxious if you knew what set charti apart from other races were their ability to permanently enchant their own bodies like a magical item, the only other race that could do that were the pragma and that was only in their object forms.

Hailey was reminded of this as under the man’s sleeves, runes began to glow through the fabric, he stepped forward with a smug slimy confidence that made Hailey shudder. His lackeys stopped where they were, a human man and an elven woman respectively, the ladders dark skin yet blonde hair marked her as a sand elf, a rarity in these parts and one that was probably a delicacy to someone with the sleazy energy she could practically feel drifting off the charti
man approaching her.
Was she going to have to deal with the young lord trope…? Wait, was she the pretty girl archetype in the young lord trope!? Fuck...
The man looked all three of them over like he was inspecting cattle and gave Hailey a grin that looked like it was something Sandra could conjure up with her new poison affinity
“Hello gorgeous, a thing like you shouldn't be all alone.”
Ali pushed in front of Hailey and snapped “She’s not alone.”
The ‘young lord’ gave her a dismissive look “I see that. I was just thinking that you,” he said to Hailey “could benefit from joining a real team. Every party could use a healer, and I’ve had my eye on you for some time now but since you were a no trial it just wasn't viable but now that you’re a mage… I think that we can make this beneficial for” He glanced over to the sand elf, who was giving Hailey a blatantly hungry look to her boss’s disguised sleaze “...everyone”
Hailey internally gagged, keeping the actual look on her face sheepish and meek. It wasn't hard since that was practically her default, emotion wise. She did her best to put as much of her discomfort on display as possible.
“Sorry but I’m not interested. I’m fine with my current team”
The charti man’s smile became a bit more forced “I’m sorry as well as it appears that you don't understand” he said “My name is Alne Sahclan”
Hailey had never heard that name before, but apparently this guy thought it was important as he pronounced the last name with extra emphasis.
Sandra frowned, “Never heard of you.”
A scowl formed on the human man’s face “You dare mock the Sahclan clan”
“I mean I was being completely serious but, yes. I mean ‘Sahclan clan’ It sounds like something some armature author would come up with when they can't think of a name”
A ball of roiling fleshy energy conjured in the human’s hand “Insolent…”
Alne put a hand behind him waving the other man down like a dog, the spell disappeared as the human obeyed, “What I offer is more than just party membership, it would include a place at my families estate as well as all included... luxuries”
Wow, he wasn’t even trying to pretend anymore. This guy really thought his dick was a prize.
“Your girls can join as well” The sand elf added with a smirk.
“Harrieta! I did not make them the offer” Alen admonished.
“Oh don’t worry, sir. I’ll take good care of them.”
As pretty as the elf was, and even the ugliest elf was a solid 8.5, Hailey could literally feel Harrieta’s gaze on her skin, and it felt like being unpleasantly licked all over. Even Sandra took a step back from just the look in the sand elf’s eyes.
Hailey to sound sincere saying “Still, the answer is no. Thank you though for the flattering offer. I hope we meet again”
She was doing her best to keep the situation for devolving in a dangerous way, that she could feel the potential for boiling in Alne’s increasingly forced smile.
Hailey moved to step past the group, her friends following her lead.
Alne’s eyes narrowed, he stepped forward quickly reaching out and grabbing Hailey by the shoulder, “I asked you to reconsider.”
The Hailey froze. She immediately tried to pull away, but rune’s glowed on the charti man’s wrist his grip feeling like a steel maniacal.
Alne put on a sacred smile, “I think you should come with me.”
The discomfort and nervousness Hailey had been feeling up until now transformed into full on fear and anger. Shy as she was not a pushover, not to this degree. She would be damned before she let a dick bag like this put his hands on her.
A spell that she had seen in her book flashed into her brain and she formed the sigil for the cast in her palm.
“Let go of her.” Ali commanded, her own forming spell taking the form of a sparking sphere of electricity.
The human man stepped in front of her.
The Harrieta taking out a whip grinning sickeningly at Sandra as she advanced on her.
Seeing where this was going Hailey shouted “Birdbox!” and realized her spell.
There was a half second of confusion before Sandra got the message. She lunged over to Ali covering the Gnomes eyes and shutting her own.
Hailey squeezed her eyes shut. Letting her new Beacon spell fly. Most of her light mana drained in an instant along with a little of the other types. Even through hey Eyelids the light stung her retinas. Her ears though were unaffected, and she could hear the screams of their attackers and the shouts of the other patriots of the guild. when she opened her eyes the world was overlaid in white, but she could see enough to watch Alne and his cronies clutching at their faces. He had let go of her and was rubbing desperately at burning eyes.
“You little-” the charti was cut off as Hailey planted a knee into his groin, she turned and did the same to the human guy and after a moment’s consideration kicked Harrieta’s crotch as had as she could as well. It wouldn't be as effective, but it was the point that mattered.
She then turned and ran for the door, waving goodbye to Kel as an afterthought, her friends following behind her.
They exited the guild hall finding Kenn and Giel, waiting for them.
The guys frowned seeing The troubled expression on Hailey’s face as she rushed out.
“Are you okay?” Giel asked with a raised eyebrow
Hailey barely slowed “Yeah, but we need to go. No time to explain, they’re probably recovering by now”
“Who is? What happened?” Kenn asked putting his hand to the hilt of his sword.
“Just come on!”
The boys looked between themselves, then shrugged jogging after them.
