Notes from the Demon king, page 360:
All of the magical races are being 'of' two things.
Demons for example are beings of power and chaos.
Our Angelic counterparts are beings of balance and righteousness.
Pragma, or 'the held' as you likely know them, are beings of partnership and utility.
Dungeons are beings of challenge and reward,
Dragons are of fury and strength, and so on and so forth as you look at every race that is deeply tied to mana.
We are all at our core functions of the world, filling a role that it needs to be filled to push all beings up the paths of progression.
I could no more stifle my chaotic nature than a dragon can run from a fight. And if I ever did figure out how I think I might just simply cease to be. (Or maybe I would revert from demonhood, who knows)
It's like ADHD on every steroid. And keeping myself sane throughout it has been a challenge. One that I'm not exactly sure if I succeeded at.
Either way, all I can do is sit back and enjoy the ride rather than fighting whatever is going to happen next.

CHAPTER SIXTEEN
Crystlstone-
The dungeon of Crystlstone had watched as the Demon first explored her halls, she had been powerless to stop him for even as he passively sealed his power she glimpsed mana so far superior to her own that her current defenses would do nothing to him.
She had, the moment he had declared his intention to return, decided to change that.
The plan had been simple, absorb several of her strongest monsters from her later rooms and recycle their mana into a new boss monster.
The greater crystal elemental had been the best choice. Its strength in its second phase was enough to end even the strongest opponents who’d braved her.
Now the time for watching was over, the Demon King would die here and the dungeon would have centuries rather than half a decade to feed on adventures and grow evermore in power.
Cystlstone’s life would not be cut short by a calamity outside of her control.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
Assuming direct control of her elemental she spoke to the Demon King “Prepare your self demon!”
And with that, she sent forth her elemental’s crystal spine attack.
Spikes of quarts dominated the air aiming themselves at the Demon King. The extra mana pushed into the attack firing hundreds of the projectiles.
They pierced the sound barrier as they rained down on the Demon King. A wall of death closing in on him. Their points glinting with bone-cutting sharpness.
The demon seemed unperturbed. He simply slid gently out of the way the nearest spike, almost faster than the dungeon could follow, as the next converged on his abdomen he blinked away appearing on the other side of the room only to disappear again as a spike nearly hit his head, he seemed to purposefully avoid each spine individually entering their range only to dodge them or teleport to another.
The final spike The demon caught, throwing it back like a spear and stabbing into her elemental’s body, he followed it himself charging with such speed that crystlstone only saw a blur. The demon brought his blade across his body. An extension of his blade forged of mana extended out cutting through the elemental, pain flared through its link with crystl as a chunk the third of the monster's size fell away.
Making the best out of a bad situation, the dungeon had the elemental grab its lost mass under its power ac it fell, hammering the giant piece of crystal, more than twice his size, at the Demon King’s side.
The Demon King simply stood, putting out his hand at the last moment and caching the ton of stone, without a hint of effort, and holding it aloft before dropping it beside him, sending a quake through the room that made the dungeon cry out in pain.
He spun on his foot and kicked the elemental, so hard it sent cracks through the creature's entire surface and send it flying, slamming backward into the wall.
The pillars left in ruins by its wake.
Crystal flexed her elemental’s power forming golem’s from the crystal shards scattered trough out the room, the constructs were able to take a single step before the Demon King raised his hand. The stone of the floor, Crystlstone’s own flesh, rose up like daggers under each of them piercing their hearts and shattering them
Her elemental was weakened and broken, pain pulsed through the bond she had with it.
If he could do that to her boss, what could he do to her core...? What could he do to her... fairy? Crystl allowed her vision to shift over to her core room where the tiny being was looking into her core, watching the fight from her perspective. When the view suddenly changed to her, Alette turned to the point of view and gave a smile and encouraging thumbs up.
Her fairy, her partner, her love. The only being other than themselves a dungeon would ever care about. It was then the Dungeon of Cystlstone decided.
A dungeon could be rebuilt, Alette could not.
As long as the core room remained safe they’d be fine.
She sent the command to her elemental to begin its strongest attack.
All the crystal within the dungeon buzzed with power as it began to break away in flakes, being pulled piece by piece into the boss room. The passages crumbled as the material left. The pain blinding in Crystlstone’s mind. Every crack was like a chisel being driven into her core, but she went on.
The demon watched unerringly as the halo of crystal surrounded the elemental’s entire form and as the attack formed an orbiting galaxy of diamond-hard blade’s he barely moved his sword to defend.
It was only once the ability had already fired that the demon realized he was not the target,
The spiraling mass of blades raced towards the Demon King’s lackeys.
Even as the human male thew himself in front of the others their fate was locked.
But the Demon King said otherwise.
Sudden he was there, his blade now a tower-shield the size of the elemental itself. Rather than hold the defense the demon placed it in front of the mortals.
His claws extending as he changed into the cloud of swirling blades.
There were a few long seconds as the Demon King was engulfed by Crystlstone’s final attack.
Then the blades exploded outward in all direction, pinging off the shield and piercing what remained of the dungeon walls.
And standing there, his clothes ragged and torn, but the skin beneath unblemished, not even breathing heavy, was the Demon King. His face a mask of fury
“You really aren't going to provide a challenge are you?” The demon growled “You waste my time, you make me ruin my clothes, attack my students, and you have the audacity to not even make me try.” he sighed angrily, the shield disappearing as the sword reappeared in his grasp, “This is over.”
He pointed his sword and a beam a black light speared out towards the elemental, and suddenly the monster’s point of view was just gone.
