Shelia stared blankly at the chunks of meat in the bowl, her pretty face scarlet as if it were dripping blood.
He hadn't expected Carlos to dare to show his love for him so bluntly, and for a moment he was mortified.
"What are you staring at? Hurry up and eat, it'll get cold later!"
Carlos said.
"Oh."
Hylia snapped out of her dazed state as if she had suddenly woken up, and then poked hard at the meat in the bowl, trying to break up the large chunk into smaller pieces.
"Come on, eat the whole thing, it's great!"
Carlos began to teach Shelia what he himself believed to be the proper way to eat meat.
"What about eating meat? It's all about taking big bites so that it tastes good!"
With that, Carlos picked up a chunk of meat for himself and stuffed it into his mouth and chewed on it.
The large mouth opened and closed, teeth going up and down, breaking down the large chunks of meat in his mouth, chewing them up before swallowing them, giving Shelia a demonstration of perfection that was truly delicious to watch.
"I'm I'm not used to eating like this, and besides, does it taste a little better this way?"
Influenced by her living habits, Shelia had an instinctive resistance, but there was some curious feeling of exploration when she watched Carlos eat so well.
"Of course!
It's really extra tasty, try to feel it."
Like a devil, Carlos lured the girl into the "abyss of depravity".
"It's really great, try it, trust me for a second, I won't lie to you!"
Carlos slapped his chest together.
Eventually Hylia willfully brought the whole piece of meat to her mouth, in a sort of gulp.
The chunks of meat held up Hylia's entire mouth, and Hylia's cheeks turned all puffy and cute.
"That's it, then just chew hard."
Under Carlos' deliberate guidance, Shelia finally accomplished the feat of eating a large hunk of meat!
After eating, Shelia had the strange feeling of being fed by Carlos, and the more she thought about it, the more pouty she felt.
"I'm full!"
Shelia said sharply, then quickly ran away.
"It's good to have enough to eat, so I don't think we'll be stealing meat now."
That was all Carlos could think about, except that what Shelia herself felt was full of love.
"There's plenty of meat left in this pot, won't Shelia even eat it?"
At that moment Hoffman happened to be walking head on, Shelia and Hoffman brushed shoulders and watching Shelia run away, Hoffman asked.
"She said she's full, so let's finish the rest together."
Carlos said.
"Okay!"
Hoffman was very decisive and came right over and sat down and started eating!
The two big men, Carlos and Hoffman, quickly gobbled up the rest of the meat.
Carlos ate more than usual and just opened his mouth to burp afterward, while Hoffman just patted his stomach with a satisfied look.
After the meal, it was time for everyone to rest and clean up, so Carlos laid down on the grass and chanted the blessed war song, of which he had only learned two lines, over and over again.
The two phrases were still at very different levels, and with the attitude that it was better to learn by default, Carlos intended to practice the second phrase to the same level as the first, and then move on from there.
There was still plenty of food in the granary, so Carlos had no thoughts of going hunting in the Sunset Mountains again in the afternoon, and this afternoon was a quiet time, leisurely and happy, one of the few times anyone had had since arriving in the Northern Plains.
Happy times always go by fast, and without doing anything, time crept into the evening.
As night falls, the time that belongs to the Northern Plains truly arrives.
"Knock, knock, knock!"
There was a knock on the door.
Unsurprisingly, it would be Eranster and Bufex coming for Carlos.
Carlos personally came to open the door, a door, the door is full of people, standing at the front of the head is of course Elansted and Bufex the two patriarchs adults.
This time, not only did the two patriarchs come by themselves, but they also brought along a large number of their clansmen!
It was full of strong men, and those who didn't know thought that Carlos had angered the Mys Rat Clan and the Oro Owl Clan, and now the two clans had come to block the door to crusade against Carlos.
"Priest-sama, we've come to build a church, let's discuss the location of this church before we start."
Erlangist took the lead.
"This site, I think it's good to be right next to my house, so it's easier for me to come back and chant the battle song.
What do you think?"
Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings.
Carlos said.
"I think it's okay, Buffex what do you think?"
Erlangist asked.
"Anywhere is fine, we Oro Owl Clan can fly, distance and all that is usually not a concern."
Bufex said full of concern, but how this sounded, it sounded like bragging.
Eranster had gotten used to this tone and accent of Bouffex's speech.
Carlos wasn't offended by this offhanded or canny flow of superiority from Bufex either, and having wings was indeed worthy of Carlos' envy as well.
"Since both of you have agreed, it will be set on that empty lot next to it, and both of you may begin."
Carlos pointed toward the left, signaling to start right there.
Then Elenster and Bufex waved their hands, and that large number of orc warriors behind them went to the side, and the crowds were kind of loud.
After walking not much farther, Elenster stuck his cane in the ground, and then he was ready to use his magic to hit the ground running.
It was at this moment that Carlos, as if he suddenly remembered something, rushed over to stop Eranster who was about to cast a spell.
"Wait!"
Carlos said hurriedly.
"Is there anything else you want, Lord Priest?"
Erlangist asked in disbelief.
"So, I was wondering, are you guys going to be on all night?"
Carlos swooped in just to say that.
"Of course, it's going to be worked on until just before dawn, and that's the only time we can build it."
Erlangist said with some reluctance.
"In that case, let's move a little farther away, after all, we're going to sleep at night, so it's better to move a little further to the side."
Carlos said.
Carlos had just realized with a jolt that how could he sleep if there was a construction site next to him every night that kept dinging his bell!
Problems like construction nuisance in the middle of the night must be nipped in the bud straight away!
At Carlos's request, Eranster moved further that way, but Carlos still didn't think it was enough, waving his hand and saying farther, farther!
Carlos felt the distance until it was roughly five Carlos houses wide afterward.
It was only then that Carlos nodded his head and said it was okay, and Carlos was also planning on transplanting over some large trees in the middle of this distance, so that it would be better to minimize the noise coming through, and in order to create a quiet sleeping environment, Carlos was also taking great pains.
"Priest-sama!
Is it really working here? It's not going to change again, is it?
!"
Erlangist asked in a loud shout.
"Yeah, let's go there, no changes!"
Carlos finalized the location.
"Really not changing?"
Eranster was still a bit uneasy, after all, this church occupied a not so small territory, and it was quite a lot of work to move.
If you build the foundation and then change your mind at the last minute, it's going to take a lot more effort!
"It really doesn't change!
Don't worry and do it boldly!"
Carlos shouted with renewed certainty.
There was a sure once over before Elenster made it official, starting with a heavy poke of his cane on the ground.
The green gem at the top of the cane turned yellow, followed by an earthy yellow halo that spread outward with the cane at its center.
The set of actions was basically the same as when he made the granary for Carlos, the difference being that this time, Eranster pulled out three more yellow magic crystals from his arms.
After taking them out, the three magical crystals slowly floated to the top of the cane under Elenster's tugging, and the three magical crystals slowly rotated around the top of the cane next to the gemstone.
Then, both of Eranster's hands converged with an earth-colored glow so thick that it was somewhat dazzling in an instant, and with this intense glow, Eranster slapped his hands heavily onto the ground!
Then a large portion of the land was rapidly sinking downward, the depression itself being very wide, ranging more than ten times larger than Carlos's granary!
Even so, it was still encroaching in all directions, the range was still expanding outwards, the earth around Elenst centered was shaking, the shaking fluctuation could be felt even if Carlos was so far away!
"Amazing, Elenst is so fierce this time, it feels so much more powerful than last time!"
Carlos couldn't help but exclaim.
Ernest was well prepared this time, there was no feeling of strain last time at all, not only that, even his speed was much faster!
The jewel set at the top of the cane had a yellow glow on it that quickly dimmed before it drew magical energy from the three magic crystals that surrounded it.
A thin filament that transmitted magical energy was connected between the gem and the magical crystal, and after being replenished, the gem quickly brightened up again!
These three pieces of magic crystals were made last night, Elenster had dedicated time to condense magical energy and then imbued them, and each one of them had earth attribute magical energy within it that was not inferior to that of a gemstone.
That's all Erlangist has done since he got back from Carlos last night.
Each fully charged energy crystal represented the full amount of magical energy Elenst could muster, so it was now the equivalent of four Blazing Sun Magicians doing this together.
So while the workload was much heavier, Erlangist was acting more relaxed than when he was working on Carlos' granary.
As for why only four, it was because Eranster's current strength could only manipulate four filled magical energy crystals at the same time, any more would be so disordered as to be uncontrollable, which meant that the upper limit of the energy that Eranster could control was this much.
If there was no upper limit, Elanist would only need to instill a sufficient number of full energy magic crystals in advance, and take them out by the hundreds against the enemy, wouldn't he not need to be afraid of anyone?
"Erlangist is really selling out!"
Feeling the movement in the distance, Carlos sighed.
The turmoil beneath his feet continued for some time before it finally slowly disappeared.
"Finally done, it's really not working, I'm afraid my old bones can't withstand a few more tosses."
Erlangist gently patted the ash from his hands, his right hand regaining its grip on the cane as he hunched over.
"That's not so bad, I think you'll be fine for a few more visits."
Buffycus chuckled lightly as he rested on Erlangist's shoulder.
"Alas less say this, I am now forced to serve the old ah" Elenster sighed and said, between the words are countless vicissitudes.
"The good thing is, we all still have our offspring."
"Boudreaux!
If you don't take care of yourself, I'll go back and pull your hair out!"
Buffycus spoke flatly at first, then cracked!
Boudreau, who was carrying simply materials, shivered, the materials in his hand almost fell to the ground, and after being reprimanded, he worked a little more sharply.
"Look at you, you're so scared at being shouted at!"
Ebbel taunted from the sidelines, also working and with a shackle on his foot.
"At least I'm not wearing magical energy chains on my feet, I can run and jump much more comfortably than you can!"
Boudreau refused to be disadvantaged either, and sarcastically returned the favor right then and there.
"I'm clueless and you're just a coward, we're not the same."
Eboue was very decent in distinguishing himself from Budry.
"Cut!"
Boudreau's response was very dismissive.
"And yes, there are always young people who can top it, and I'm old for nothing."
Erlangist said with a smile.
"Emil!
This is for you, if your brother tries to make trouble and disobey you, you can use this to cure him!"
Erlangist called Emil to his side and pulled two clear magic crystals out of his arms, which were polished into a round shape and a large one and a small one.
"Grandpa, how does this work!"
Emil asked.
"Just throw this little one at your brother's feet and then just wiggle around with this big one, it's easy."
Erlangist said.
"Is this fun?"
Emil is still young and it's in his nature to be playful.
"It's fun!
But don't you dare break the big one, it's no fun if you do!"
Ernest stroked Emil's head favorably, then admonished.
Emil nodded good-naturedly and bounced away.
"To play when your brother doesn't listen!
Don't mess around!"
Erlangist shouted toward the fading Emil.
"Uh-huh!
Got it."
Emil turned back and responded.
With the construction of the church on track, there was no use for Elenst and Bufex to stay here any longer, and the two of them came up together and walked out to find Carlos, wanting to go and ask him how far he had practiced his Blessed Battle Hymn.
Carlos was still standing in the doorway looking at the construction site in full swing in the distance, and when he saw Erlangist and Bufex approaching, Carlos even waved a greeting.
"Priest-sama, we wanted to come and ask you how your Blessing Battle Hymn is coming along?"
Erlangist asked directly.
"This well time is still early, besides your church even a line is not yet, we are not in a hurry to say this, I have a thing I want you to help me first."
Carlos said as he pulled Elansted.
"What is it?"
Ernest hesitated, thinking, "I'm not going to make another granary, am I? I've just used up all my magical energy.
