Later that day, Levia told Yuan that the prank call operation was a failure. Yuan gave a 'I'm not surprised' look on his face as Levia told him that maybe another prank will do the job. That is why they are at a local park close to Yuan's home. It has a couple of wooden chairs, a waiting shed, and nature around it. There is another trail where many individuals are jogging.

"So let's try another prank... with those kids!" She points toward the group of children playing in the nearby sand.

Yuan looked at her suspiciously, saying, "Why kids?"

Her eyes suddenly lost their light as she said, "Simple, because last time you were straight up evil."

After that, she gives him a hopeful smile and asks, "You're not one of those people that will bully little kids...... right?"

"Ahem," the children that are playing on the sand look at the person standing next to them.

The child with brown hair happily said "sure," but the child next to her said "no! My mom said not to talk with strangers."

Yuan gave a sad face, saying, "I'll give you gums." The stubborn child approaches, takes one of the gums on his palm, and says, "I'll help you just this once." He acts strong but looks really cute, "Even so, if you want us to follow you, we won't." He strongly implied.

Yuan smile "Yeah, that's the right thing to do; no matter what, don't follow any strangers." You have been taught well. He pats him and remarks, "Good kid." The kid shyly turns away. "hmph"

Another child asked, "so..Mister, what do you want us to do?"

"Actually, I lost something around this park, and I can't find it anywhere. So if you all could help me find it, I'll give you guys all of these candies. I'll give you till 4 p.m. to find it. Are you guys up to it?" He gives a gentle smile to the kids as Levia's mouth has been hanging open all this time.

How can he act kind to these kids but not towards me? This is unfair! she thinks

The kids shout, "You can count on us, mister!" "OKAY! Let's go treasure hunting!" The kids excitedly scattered.

"Don't go anywhere other than this park, ok?" he said as he turned away from them.

"Then I'll be there for now so make sure to go to me once you find the thing." Yuan points to the shed with a wooden chair inside.

Then he said to the devil next to him, "Let's go," and Levia enthusiastically followed him, asking, "So, what kind of treasures are hidden here?" Her eyes gleam with anticipation as she waits for his reply.

A young child sitting alone under a tree caught his attention as he cast his gaze around the park. He was initially just going to ignore it when he noticed a figure floating next to the child. "That's..." Without thinking twice., he stood up and walked towards the kid, whispering to Levia, "I won't talk to you for a while."

Levia replied, "No way..." and immediately understood why as soon as she saw the direction that he was headed.

"Your parents don't love you~ you don't have friends~ you poor child~."

A male devil with blue hair and side-swept bangs whispers despicable things to the child.

*steps*

"Hey, kid, what are you doing here by yourself?" He observes the young girl sitting beneath the tree. She is gloomy and has short black hair. She is holding a small book in her right hand and is still staring at the ground.

Behind Yuan Levia is standing, and even though they are both devils, they didn't even look at each other or greet each other; they just acted like the other devil didn't exist.

The little girl glances at him before returning her attention to the ground. Yuan sits beside her and says

"So you're a loner, huh? You're pretty lame."

Levia gasped as her face was screaming with a (I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU JUST SAID THAT)

while the child grabbed her dress tightly while she kept her eyes on the ground.

Yuan looked in the distance and made the same face that Levia saw this morning.

"When I was your age, I had a friend who was a little different from other kids. I was always alone because everyone would call me names and bully me. That's why having a friend, no matter how strange it is, makes me happy."

She's not responding or moving, but one thing is certain: she's actually listening to Yuan's story.

"Then one day, I came to realize that I was the only person who believed we were friends. It turns out that this friend of mine is just using me." Levias' body twitched as she heard a particular line.

"See, even grownups are being betrayed; nothing good is waiting for you in the future," the Devil whispers next to the little girl, circling her around like a venomous snake.

Yuan ignores the devil and continues, "Because of my friend, I told something to my parents that turned them against each other and slowly ruined our family" he exhale "With a single sentence, I lost my only friend and my home."

The child once again looked down as she heard his story. She starts feeling hopeless, thinking that maybe there is no future for her after all. That's when the devil struck.

He grins as he moves his mouth near the girl's ear and whispers. His words carry a scent that makes anyone wants to follow them, just like an insect that is attracted to fire.

"Nothing good will happen in the future~ only hardship~ that is why~" he smiled and say "look in front of you."

In front of her, a few feet away, is the entrance of the local park, and towards it is the road where lots of cars pass by. The devil whispers.....

The small girl then stands and kicks the ground, running towards the highway with only one goal on her mind.
