Hey Everyone!
Recently I've been thinking about starting a new fiction. Looking over what I've written in Deus Ex Machina, I see a lot of things to improve on and fix. But some of you seem to really enjoy Deus Ex Machina, and I wanted to get your opinion on it. Here's a small description of the story:
Death, Pestilence, Famine, and Conquest: The Four Aspects of the End.
In the land of Soran, war rages. The armies of the free lands stand united against the legions of the End. His four generals wreak havoc and terror across the battlefields, using cursed magics and forbidden spells. That is until Ajax Sanguin, the Aspect of Conquest, disillusioned with the lies of his master and guilt-ridden from his actions, abandons his post and flees to the free lands. Looking for a quiet place to live out the rest of his life, he eventually settles down in the quaint village of Darvan, where he also hopes to help the people as a way to atone for his sins. But when his very presence represents the End, can he truly find peace, or will his past catch up to him and devour him whole?
This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.
It would be a LITRPG style story with a system, skills and classes. The current title, which might change in the future, is "Blood and Conquest".
Another option would be to focus on both fictions at once, but that might mean slower uploads for Deus Ex Machina. Of course, I would do my best to keep the uploads regular and often!
If I do end up focusing on Blood and Conquest, I'd like to write about 50 thousand words before I publish it. Although that is a lot, considering the total amount of words I've written for Deus Ex Machina is 75 thousand, I think having a large backlog would help push Blood and Conquest further than I've gotten with Deus Ex Machina. Anyway, I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions!
