Yawn!
'It's finally the day. I'm leaving everyone and everything behind me.'
I get up off the bed, almost falling to the floor.
'I wonder what time it is? I should check it out.'
I start to head downstairs and take a look at the clock.
'It's 7 AM. That's about the earliest I've ever woken up. It also seems to be too quiet down here. Is Grain and Mom even here?'
I head back upstairs to start my usual morning routine. I fix myself a quick breakfast, then quickly, but barely, pack all my clothes in my luggage's.
'Whew! I thought it wouldn't fit in there for a sec. I should've down this yesterday. I would've been able to pack smarter.'
I put on my socks and shoes, then open the door to meet up with Grace at the entrance Gate.
'Now that I notice it, the mornings been quiet. The others would've been hopping around cause they always wake up at the suggested time.'
I then continue, and then finally arrive at the gate.
"Chief! I'm here!" I shouted.
"Alright, just give me a second..." She replied casually.
'I wonder what she's doing. Well, I always wonder what she's doing. I bet the Chief has more secrets than the story she just told me.'
"Alright. It's ready. Bermil, come here for a second." Said Grace.
I move towards the Gate to where she's standing at.
"Help me open now will ya." Said Grace.
"Sure." I replied.
I move to the door to help her push up the handle that's used to open the gate. To my surprise, I find everyone standing on the opposite side of the gate. Mom, Grain, Rinwald and the Others. Even Nazil and Emelia.
"HAPPY VOYAGE BERMIL!!!"
'Eh! So that's where they were.'
"I heard you were leaving so I made you a necklace. It isn't a magic Item though... But I really want you to remember our friendship!" Squeaked Sheya.
"I've used up 1/3 of my savings so I could buy you 2 books about the worlds plants and animals. It will even help find food if need be! You can thank me when you return." Rimwald Shouted.
"Me and Mom spent all night creating a Cook Book for you! If you want to thank anyone you better thank Mom!" Grain jumped in.
"I've got you a lot of clothes since you can't use all that you have forever. There's also cleaning material like toothpaste, toothbrushes, and soap to0 in this bag of mine." Said Sars.
"Woah guys Calm down! Calm down! You didn't really have to go through this trouble of doing all this!" I responded.
They all have a quick silence, before returning to their offerings.
"Since you are my best pal, I've decided to bring you a snacks that you can take along the way." Said Emelia.
"Weaklings need strong weapons to fend themselves off. I'm giving you my Mana Gadget, Red Headband. It's old but, it can still boost some of your senses to an extent." Nazil said as he scoffed.
"Even though you completely left me on my own yesterday, I'm still generous enough to forgive you asshole! Here! It's a Mana Gadget in the form of scabbard. It generates small sparks if you add Mana to it. I got it for my Birthday last year and I'm giving it to you. Better be grateful, otherwise I'll beat the hell out of ya!" Reina Ranted.
"Wait guys! Wait a seconds! I appreciate the offers but there's no need for you guys to go through all this trouble."
They then enter a quick brief silence again, before Rimwald walks up and responds to my statement.
"It makes sense. You haven't really haven't given anything to us,"
'Way to talk down on me!'
"However, I can tell you fought with all your power just because you thought you had a chance to protect us. Even that just brings a smile to my face." Rimwald said as everyone nods in agreement to his statement.
'I'm so glad to have a supportive family and friends.'
"Well I guess I've got no choice but to take everything you guys have given me. The problem is how I'll take them."
"There's no problem in doing that. This bracelet will hold majority of the things you can carry. I'd suggest you just keep the Mana Gadgets on you. That way it doesn't take up space." Said Grace
I take the bracelet and put it on. Doesn't fit at all. It's a little to large until it completely snaps onto my wrist.

"Ah!" I exclaimed.
"Now just grab a hold of your items and just say "Gate Open" and then it will take one of your items in its storage. Then if you want to bring out and Item, just say Gift and think of what you want to take out."
I grab the items one by one and start to add them to my wrist bracelet.
"Alright. Is there more or is that all I need to pack?" I said to everyone.
"No. This is all we'll be giving you. Other things you need, you will have to get by yourself." Said Grain
"Alright. Thanks again for the supplies." I retorted.
I one more glimpse at everyone. I then turn towards Grace to ask her,
"Chief. Which place should I at least stop by first?"
"Hmmm... I can think of a few places. How about the Empire of Ten. It's southeast on the bottom side of this country. They're one of the places that can pose a threat to Romantis. They also don't care whether your bad or not. If your strong enough, you can live a peaceful life over there. So what do you say?"
I think to myself a bit and then respond with,
"Got it. I'll start there."
"Then here's a map and a compass. I've been there before and I'd say at your strength, you could probably live there until you get back. Well, It depends on if you decide to get stronger while you're on that side." Grace added on.
She hands me both the map and compass.
"Thanks. I promise to return safely. Well, I'll be on my way then. See you guys. Make sure no more Militaries attack this home again."
I begin to depart from everybody as they send their farewells.
"Live long Bermil!" Yelled Rimwald
"I can't wait to see you again!" Emelia Shouted
"I will miss you my 2nd son Bermil!" Screeched my Mom
"So long...." Said Grain
'Yeah. I'll miss you guys too.'
I then find my way out the forest and enter a grassy field. The azure sky looked beautiful. The Emerald grass gives off the feel of freedom. The clear wind blows away your worries, telling you to sit and relax.
"I never knew how appealing the outside world can be. I bet there's plenty more for me to see."
I take a look at the map to find a route already picked out for me.
"So this is the best way to go then. The route indicates that there's a river for me to follow. It says that I should go to the harbor and take a boat to a town called Kali. From where I'm currently at, it looks to be miles away from here. I'll probably get there by nighttime. What a pain in the ass. Just getting there would be tiresome."
During my rant, I turn to my right to notice a cat like figure covered in a sinister dark aura.
'What is that!? When did it get here, and how long has it been here!?' I panicked.
As I turn towards it to pull out my dagger, I'm quickly swallowed in by it's Mana and put into darkness. I wake up to see a faint light. The light approaches me and says,
"This isn't how it was supposed to turn out. You came here way before it was time. That bastard probably predicted this would happen, and decided to take action."
'???'
"Hmmm... I guess you'll have to deal with him using only an incomplete version of the skill, my descendant."
The light then touches me and then in a flash, I'm back in the real world. It also appears to be a different location.
"What just happened? Where even am I. Huh. Is that..."
I look up to see a small town next to what looks like to be a river.
"Well since I'm lost, I should probably ask where I am. Before that, I should put on this large coat I brought. Who knows if those men are after me."
I put it on and head into the town. The village is full of people walking around and about. There are food stands, shops have deals, and people are crowded at certain areas.
'What a lively village. Is an event or something going on?'
I turn to my left to see a group of people crowded at one area. One of the civilians say,
"Is a kid really wanted by the Romatis army force? They even set the price at 1,000 Wells!"
Another random jumps in.
"Hold on, that aint no ordinary kid! As you can see on this poster, he's clearly a dark elf! I bet that kid might be as old as me! So he could clearly be very strong!"
Out of curiosity, I walk through the crowd to check out what it is. Then to my surprise, It turns out that it's me.
'Wait a damn minute! Why is it so detailed! It's like someone took a picture of me in 4k! I better watch out. I'm also now a wanted man.'
I turn away and start to look for hints on where I could be in a more less crowded area. I walk around for a little while since there isn't much people in this area. Oblivious to my surroundings, I end up bumping into someone and falling over.
"Oof!"
I turn to look up and see a woman with black hair, sharp eyes, and an erotic body blue pajamas standing tall over me.
"Sorry! I should pay attention to my surroundings a little more. Well I'll see you later. Have a great day" I say as I try to hurry out of there.
The woman then grabs me by the shoulder and whispers in my ear,
"There's something that separates you from others. I can obviously tell you're strong, but your completely different. Well, you probably have your reasons for hiding your power. Well, see ya."
She then turns away and starts walking towards a bakery.
'Did she know? Just from that little interaction? Who exactly is that woman? I need to hurry up and get out of this town, but I need to know where I am located first!'
I then take a step forward, and notice a piece of paper on the floor.
'Huh? It says, you are in "Kali. The dock is open right now. It would be wise if you try to sneak in." Wait. So she even knew what I was after. I have a bad feeling of what's to come after this.'
I flip it over to check the other side and read,
"The dock is to your right. Just keep heading that way. I'm only helping you cause you keep walking around like an Idiot"
'This woman! Well, that saves the trouble of looking for clues. I guess I should head to the dock.'
I walk down the roads and from a distance, I can see the dock. It looks to be guarded by men dressed in amour.
'Are those knights?'
"Of course they are."
I turn back around me and see the woman I saw earlier, this time dressed in casual clothes.
"WHEN DID YO-" I almost burst out only to be silenced by a,
"Shut up, your making noise." Said the woman as she grabs my mouth shut.
'What a weird woman. It's like she's been here the entire time.'
"No. I've been following you this entire time." Said the woman.
"Ah. You can read my mind can you."
"In a way, I can read your mind." She responded.
"So, are you gonna arrest me here? Take me to an executioner? You should already know by now that I was that kid on the poster."
"Not at all. I'm here to take you to my homeland. The Empire of Ten. I'm also an outlaw too so It wouldn't make sense for me to report you."
"So are you an ally?" I said.
"No. Since we're headed to the same place, we can just head there together. Plus the more allies, the better." She responded.
'You just said you weren't an ally.'
"Anyways. How are we gonna get on the ship?"
"Distraction obviously. Use your echo skill on the town bell. It'll send the soldiers into confusion."
"What will it do?"
"How did you- Alright fine. What does it do anyways?"
"It's used as an alarm to call all soldiers during emergencies. Since they can't have civilians ringing it for fun, they put soldiers there to guard it." She responded.
'I wonder how I'll be able ring it anyways.'
"Can't you use that Echo: Sonar skill of yours? Just use it at max power that way you won't be caught, and you could make it ring all over town."
'It's creepy how she knows more about my capabilities than I do.'
"Alright. Will you come and carry my body to the ship. I won't be able to move after." I said.
"Fine then. That will be the plan then. Also call me Shira." She responded.
"Alright, lets begin!"
