Running A Casino III

Running A Casino III

While Thousand Sounds Casino had risen to another level of fame, Yuzhi feared this instead of desiring it. Before, he was making enough money while not attracting too much attention. And while he knew there would eventually come the day he would need to bring this operation to the next level, that would require a lot of work.

Like almost every other business, a casino's customer was humans. And just like with other businesses, there weren4t infinite people to give to each business within that sector.

The same applied to a casino, and now that Yuzhi would get more customers, other gambling businesses would get less. But those were the kind of businesses with countless funds, support from bigger organizations, and connections to every power within the city.

So while Yuzhi couldn't compete against these businesses with funds or connections, he could use his wit. He had already researched who ran the gambling scenes in this city.

The biggest player was Fang Jianyu, who owned 3 rock gambling shops and the horse running center. He was wealthy but his biggest strength came from his connection to the Xu clan.

He didn't have a very strong cultivation base, but it couldn't be ignored, being in the Yellow Qi Channeling Realm.

Then the next biggest player was Bao Kaijun. The clan leader of the Bao clan, a clan that could be considered the fifth powerhouse in Stone Frost City. He held a lot of power, most of it coming from acts within the underworld.

The Bao clan only legitimately held 2 dark auctions. Where one could bet on something mysterious and maybe get something great, but mostly be disappointed. But their real money from the gambling sector came from the underworld, although Yuzhi wasn't sure about this, he guessed they also owned one Human Fighting Ring and one Animal Fighting Ring.

Besides that, Bao Kaijun also held a strong cultivation base, and Yuzhi guessed that he was in the later stages of the Foundation Strengthening Realm, or maybe even in the Soul Reformation Realm.

The last one couldn't be compared to the 2 previous titans, her name was Zhang Mei. She owned 2 Yue Har Hai Tong Zi houses. Yue Har Hai Tong Zi was a game in which there would be several fish in a pond, and people could buy an amount of time in which they were allowed to fish. If they caught the fish they would receive some money that was currently bet on the fish. And if at the end of the week, you had caught the biggest fish, you would receive double the money you won on a fish. And lastly, people could bet on numbers that represented a fish, if that number represented the largest fish caught at the end of the day, they would also double their money.

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

(So this is kinda of a game they played in ancient China, the only thing is that I did change quite some things.)

Zhang Mei herself wasn't very interesting, having only a cultivation base of the Green Qi Channeling realm. But the forces behind her were interesting, in fact, Yuzhi had slight contact with them. She was supported by the Song Clan from Fallen Flood City. The same clan Song Lying came from.

Besides these 3 people, there were others who owned gambling sites, but they only held small cultivation houses, most of them being illegal and the organizations could be ignored. While they could pose a threat to Yuzhi's Thousands Sounds Casino, they couldn't possess one to Yuzhi himself. So he decided to ignore them for now, and in case they acted out of place, he would just hire more security.

But the 3 he had done research towards were the kind of people that could be eliminated if he wasn't careful. So he would need to do something to get their acceptance to exist within the gambling scene of Stone Frost City.

For Fang Jianyu he would reduce the maximum spending for every person per night to 25 bronze coins. While this didn't seem like much, it relied on what person Fang Jianyu was.

He was someone who relied on his good reputation to make people ignore the bad things his business caused. Besides, his interests were the interests of the Xu Clan. And him limiting his profit could be like telling them he understood they were the overlord.

And then lastly what he needed to do to show goodwill was to help them. And what better way to show goodwill to them than to help their Horse Betting Business.

He had an entire plan to help their business, and even on how to approach them. But the problem with this was that it took time, and he only had 2 days a week where he could work on it. And Fang Jianyu wasn't the only person he would need to spend time on.

While this all seemed like useless things, Yuzhi knew that If he succeeded, the benefits he would receive would be immense.

He would be able to open more casinos, get more money, and more connections, and root himself deeply inside Frost Stones City.

Yuzhi's mind was once again overtaken by the countless thoughts he held and the unmeasurable possibilities that lay in front of him.
