What is a face? I like to think that a face is something that constantly changes over time never staying the same for example. A mother will look upon their child with love no matter what they have done and a lover will try to lean as many of your faces as possible and comfort them all.
So what happens if you have no face at all?

The thunder cracked its whip in the background as an old man hunched over a bowl hummed an ancient dialect that no man should know.
The bowl that seemed full to the brim with blood hummed in tune to the decrepit old man's words.
The old man performing this ritual lived in what looked like to be a small house about 4 meters in length and 3 meters in width the walls stacked high with old tomes and relic's from every part of the globe they shined with an eerie glow lighting up the room and it's only occupant.
The old man letting a sinister smile light his decrepit face. That would have made anyone nearby shiver in fear stopped speaking. As the bowl of blood started to bubble and pop the old man noting the change brought out a jar that contained what looked to be some sort of living slime that constantly rose up and down contorting on itself constantly collapsing as if it was too unstable to support it, own weight.
On its side's pore's opened and closed as if it was breathing the stale dusty air.
Staring at the jar the man hummed that ancient dialect once more. The slime growing still as if afraid seemed to stare at the man even though it clearly lacked the equipment to do so.
The man cackling opened the lid of the jar and poured its disgusting contents into the bowl of blood.
The heavens as if warning him not to continue cracked their whip across the sky growing louder and louder shattering the windows.
The old man so completely enthralled in his task didn't even notice the shattering windows.
Now screaming this unknown language reality started to warp around him as an old and powerful energy's long thought to be dead gathered once more.
Reaching the crescendo of his ritual he slit his hand over the bowl. The bowl filled with this unholy mixture shot out of the bowl faster than the eye could follow and latched its self on to the old man's hand.
Jerking in surprise he stumbled back with shock clearly written on his face as he was obviously not expecting this to happen. Acting on pure instinct he tried to shake his hand to dislodge the substance but was unfortunately unsuccessful.

The old man shouting an unintelligible word glowed a bright blue and the now spreading mixture started to burn off his arm but to his horror, the mixture started to change it started to absorb his energy along with his blood draining him.
Too weak to retaliate he fell to the floor gasping for air wheezing for someone to save him but alas no one was nearby to hear his cry for help.
As the morning came and shed light over the interior of the house the husk of the old man was revealed laying on the ground with the features of fear etched on to his face staring soundlessly at the ceiling.

Awareness came to me, I was immobilized in a strange pressure that felt like I was underwater ''who am I what am I''
''... I feel different like I am growing I don't like this pressure I must escape'' I thrash about And yet, I break through the surface so easily, I don't even realize I am finally free. Only the words that filled my head made me realize I was finally alive. I blink rapidly as a bright light assaults my eyes.

Laying on my back I Stretch out on the ground I revel in the experience of just existing. Staring upwards at the blue sky. I lay there for an unknown amount of time once I finally sat up and started looking around at the unfamiliar world around me, I slowly tried standing up and almost fell immediately trying once more I move much more slowly and with care and slowly gain my balance just as I stabilize a shadow flashed in the corner of my eye's. Looking around I spot a small animal sitting in the corner looking at me lazily it had a long black arms and possessed no hands or paws of any sort but had a single long claw on each arm that had a serrated edge meant for tearing and ripping flesh and was about the length of my arm.
The rest of the creature looked sleek and it had a sharp look to it and had a black leather skin with a tail with spikes going down its length that looked like it was meant to kill rather than decoration.
Moving closer to me the animal reached forward and touched my chest with its nose as it if it was disconcerting if I was a threat. Acting on instinct I started to change staring from where the creature touched me shifting. My limbs and bone structure started to elongate and change and by the end of the transformation I looked like a child version of the creature in front of me and as this thought passed through my mind a thing appeared in front of my face and no matter how hard I shook my head it would not disappear.

obtain more of this genetic template to grow at an accelerated pace and gain full control and gain its bloodlines power of this template or grow at a normal pace 'note' you still gain all the benefits of this template but it is much slower as you need to grow at the normal pace of the animal you have coped also the amount of genetic material you will need is proportionate to the complexity of the organism you copy
Reading the words in front of me I found it very strange because I couldn't understand the words but I could somehow understand the meaning behind them as I read them giving me a great sense of confusion.
Ignoring the confusing words in front of me I observed my self as it seemed that I did not have the wicked blades that the animal in front of me possessed but had a type of nub that I used for walking. Stepping back in surprise the animal stared at me confused as to how the weird animal in front of it had been replaced by the one of its young.
Shaking its head it picked me up by the scruff of my neck and trotted off into the undergrowth.
