"How bad is it, you said she woke up for a little bit before going back to sleep right." Embrda asked his little sister. He knew from the look on her face that she was troubled about something, just not what is was yet.
"The curses have soaked into her very bones. She will never be free of them so long as she lives, the worst part is that we couldn't even kill and revive her to get rid of them because they are centered on her bones." Drassisa said to her brother. She was trying to figure out a way for the young woman to have a normal life, one not hindered by the curses she now carried.
"What ever she ends up doing will need to be away from people that is for sure. If she were to bet mad and punch someone she hight break their bones to little shards. Not even from being stronger or anything but because she will weaken anyone that she focuses on with ire in her heart. She will make their bones brittle and blood run fast." Drassisa added. She had spent quite some time trying to figure out a solution to this problem that did not involve killing her and burning the body before she hurt someone like that.
"Maybe go all in. Really push it in so that she just gives up on having a normal life and seeks to make the best of it." He said off the top of his head.
"What do you mean?"
"Think about it right now she just has enough curses that she will never live a normal life again. She goes back and all she gets is a body count and the headman's axe. When next she wakes up we give her the chance and if she accept we up the curses and hope that they take." Embrda said having first thought of it as a joke but now he was putting more thought into the idea.
"It might work if she is willing to become a cursed mage or the like. Someone that is avoided at large and usually has a few curses affecting their surroundings at all times anyways. She would at least have some semblance of a normal life. Fine we give her the options and a choice on how she wants to live the rest of her life." Drassisa said after a moment of thought.
----------------------------------------
Coming back to the waking world the first thing that she noticed was just how thirsty she had gotten. After taking a drink of water she then noticed that their was a Dragonborn in the room with her and the Dark elf. While not the tallest of his kind she had seen he was larger then her. Larger then the Dark elf as well. At least he did not seem to be angry at her so that was a plus.
After they explained to her what had happened in full they gave her an option for having some kind of normal life. If she became a curse mage then people would steer clear of her and she would not hurt some child by accident but she would never be lonely. There would always be someone that found a cursed object and wanted to get rid of it or find a use for it.
They were laying around where great tragedy had occurred because that is where they formed naturally. The only other way to get them was to make them which was not an easy feat in and of itself. It required a lot of prep work and effort so they were only made rarely and only for causing mass deaths. When they came about naturally they could affect many people over a long time period before anyone noticed what was happening. When they were made intentionally then they usually just lead to a high body count.

This was because all the curse spells that were known and used in todays world happened to come from the study of such object. Like a lucky coin that sapped the luck from those around you. Or rings that tied people together and lead to both dying around the same time so that neither was long separated from the one they loved most. That was what they were suggesting. To turn her body into a mass of such curses. To turn each and every one of her bones into a curse object of great power.
On the one hand it would mean that she could live the way she wanted and make a great deal of money. Never being in the situation where she was desperate enough that she would throw her life away like she had. On the other, It would be lonely no matter how many came to see her. No matter what she did she would spend great amounts of time all by her lonesome.
----------------------------------------
"If I do it, what will happen to me. I do not have the money to get started and any curse mage that does not have a place set up for them where ever they go tends to get lynched." She had seen it happen when she was a little girl.
"What is your name. I keep calling you young woman or girl in my head and it is getting annoying." Drassisa asked.
After introductions were done and every one had gotten to know the girl that they now called Neka. She was happy to not be calling them 'The Cabal' in her own head anymore. A name that while disserved, kind of made her distrust them just a bit for what she was sure were obvious reasons.
"We can get that done. We have the money for it at least and we do kind of feel a bit bad about killing all of your friends and acquaintances like that." Sasha said with a bit of a shrug. Her way of saying, 'what can you do about it.' It was rather clear that she was not enjoying this conversation.
"There is a great amount of wealth that could come your way. We add a few curses of shape changing and you could probably look like what ever you want." Tea said, though from the look in her eyes it was clear that she really didn't care and just wanted an excuse to see what all curses and maybe a few hexes she could get to take root in the girls body. She was pretty easy to read like that.
----------------------------------------
After some time to rest up and getting her body primed by Teamasa and Drassisa for what was to come Neka once more went into the hell that was the third layer. The place that had brought her so low and killed so many that she had been with. Sure the second layer was a nightmare but the third was even worse. She could feel the muscles in her body twisting into knots, her bones creaking and her blood shuddering. This was not a good place and she was taking in those curses.
She could feel them lessen as they stopped affecting her like they should. She would never escape the effects entirely but they would not out right be fatal anymore. They would just weaken her until she was out of their range instead of sapping more and more from her till she died. It was fair to say that her life was changing from now on. That it would never be the same as it was when she struggled to have enough food in a week. When she had to decide what was more important. Sleeping warm or sleeping safe.
When she came out of the maze the first thing she did was to punch Sasha right in the face. She knew who had made the thing and was not exactly what one would call amused. She did not mean to shatter the woman's jaw but was equally as frightened when she healed it like it was nothing. Going from that mangled mess to a normal looking face would forever be imprinted into her memory as the most horrifying thing she had seen. And considering some of the things she had seen on the second floor, that was really saying something.
This was the start to the rest of her life and she was not going to squander the chance that had been given to her that was for sure.
