Chapter 43 : War (1)

Chapter 43 : War (1)

Grimm stood a meter or two away from the old man whose face was currently buried in the ground and spoke.

“Gaza will not tolerate any form of threat to its sovereignty”

Grimm’s physical appearance couldn’t be see he was wrapped from head to toe in white bandages like a mummy some of it was left loose around his body but still, his skin couldn’t be seen for some reason, even though he was covered from head to toe he still wore clothes.

Once people heard his voice they would subconsciously imagine a vicious demon under all those bandages, his voice sounded like it originated from the deepest parts of hell.

When the old man finally got up his entire face was twisted with rage.

He was a short tubby bald head man with a long black beard.

“Boy, I promise I’ll leave some of you behind to be buried with your king!”

The bulging veins on his forehead looked like they were about to burst at any moment front rage.

Grimm didn’t say a word, with every step he took forward thick black sludge as well as feint black mist leaked from his bandage onto the ground but it didn’t stain the cloth.

As if it had a mind of its own the liquid rushed toward the old man while the mist diffused in the air.

“Hmph childish”

Just as abruptly as the sludge rushed forward, the old man stomped the ground, with him as the epicenter a few hundred meters of the ground was turned into spikes blocking the sludge.

Before the spikes could impale him Grimm leaped into the sky, revealing a cocky smile, but that didn’t last long the moment the old man set of spikes he jumped into the air so the moment Grimm just up he was waiting for him with a giant earth pillar that was more than ten times his size.

Bam!

The pillar slapped down on his back like a giant swatting down on a fly, no cry of pain came from his mouth or maybe the bandages muffed the sound.

Boom!

Grimms body created a huge crater destroying spikes.

Slowly Grimm stood up the bandages had been ripped apart by the spikes so what remain was now falling off his body underneath the bandages was covered in black sludge.

“Have you ever wonder why they called me Grimm?”

“Hmm?”

Without any warning, all of the sludge shot up into the sky forming a dome that spanned several kilometers enclosing them inside.

When Earlon saw this he was stunned speechless, he looked at Grimm as if he’d just seen the devil.

“Yo..you cultivate the [ Poisonous Void Technique ] are you mad!!”

The [Poisonous Void Technique] was a incomplete technique created millions of years ago.

Every single poison or medication is made up of a variation of seven different plants called the [Source Herbs], in order to cultivate the [Poisonous Void Technique] you’d be required to find those seven plants and consume them.

Once consumed they would become the source of all the users power, at every level of cultivation they would combine in a different way forming a different poison.

The poison would deteriorate the users body to absolutely dust before slowly rebuilding stronger and better than before, the every time he ups a level that poison would be added to his system, at this point in time Grimm’s entire was just poison.

The user has to bear the slow painful process of his body being destroyed at every level, so to most this technique was worthless.

But the technique was perfect for Grimm since he had absolutely no sense of pain, he isn’t able to feel any emotions at all.

“I don’t sleep at night…...there are moments when I wished I could feel what it’s like to be alive…..”

The old man didn’t have the slightest clue as to what Grimm was rambling about, it wasn’t like he cared either his mind was completely focused on the poison dome.

“You can’t leave…….the dome is apart of me the only way to leave is to kill me…….What is your name……”

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

It’s only now that the old man looked back at Grimm to notice his figure that left him slightly surprised, it was almost as if the bandages were the only thing holding his body up, Grimm’s body now slouched with his ink black hair running down to his feet, completely covering his face.

What little of his skin that wasn’t covered in black tattoos was so pale that it seemed like he’s never been in the sun before.

“Earlon…..”

Earlon answered subconsciously because Grimm's voice sounded even more devilish without the bandages.

Smiling slightly Grimm spoke slowly.

“Mhmmm okay, Earlon…….In accordance with laws created by his majesty king Adidja, for challenging the sovereignty of Gaza, I sentence you to death”

……………..

The moment Grimm attacked everyone else split up and found their own opponent.

Shawn Vs Elk

Rhyno Vs The other old man

Adidja Vs Rodney

When everyone split up Adidja and Rodney remained in the same position neither of them spoke or moved.

“It shouldn’t have come to this”

Rodney spoke up and broke the silence but Adidja didn’t reply, he brought his hand to his mouth and bite down hard until he saw blood.

“Hypocrite”

Adidja shot up into the sky, his body covered in a visible blood red aura and performed a roundhouse kick on the defenseless Rodney, knocking him out of the sky.

“We both know you came here with every intention of leaving here with my head, so don’t act as if you’re sorry about the way things turned out, nothing would make you happier than me begging my father for forgiveness”

………..

Azreal had already traveled across half the city already, nothing but destroyed buildings behind him.

Kyle had been shooting off beams of energy in the hopes of stopping Azreal.

“You’ve become a coward all of a sudden!”

Boom!

A beam destroyed the building Azreal was beside forcing him to change direction.

This is how it’s been going for the past few minutes but Azreal wasn’t willing to stop.

Boom!

Azreal was ready to dodge another beam but it turned out that it was the building in front of him that fell forcing him to stop.

They had ran across half the city before Azreal was forced to stop.

“You sure know how to run, hand over my space ring and your little peasant life”

Taking a look around making sure no one else was following him Azreal breath a sigh of relief, turning his eyes back to Kyle he revealed a vicious smile.

Taken aback by the smile, him surprised turned into anger.

Azreal didn’t give him time to attack before rushing forward with his sword aimed at Kyles' neck but as if he was expecting it the moment Azreal rushed forward he flew backwards and followed that up with a beam of energy from the ground that forced Azreal to stop.

Contrary to Kyles expectation Azreal wasn’t stump instead he ignited the purple inferno across his body and sword.

“Blah blah ‘today I learned how to form external seals underground to hide them from enemy detection, master said the best level would be thirty feet’ blah blah blah sounds familiar?”

Although Azreal hadn’t managed to comprehend the information about cultivating, the boring information that Kyle had written was fairly simple to understand.

Raising his now flaming sword in the air Azreal rammed it down into the ground flooding the earth with flames.

Kyle was stunned hearing the family words being thrown back at him, he didn’t wake up until he felt a gut-wrenching pain from every nerve in his body.

“Oh crap those seals are connected to your body aren’t they?”

In order to maintain the seal underground Kyle has to be constantly supplying them with energy, so when the flames came in contact with the seals it ran along the line that connected him to seals.

“Don’t worry you won’t die today…….come out”

All the spirit in the sword appeared one by one including Dustin and Sadie.

When Kyle severed the connection with the seal he was breathing heavily.

It wasn’t that he was weakened terribly  but he just felt his internal organs being burned coupled with the feeling of fear from being previously burned and you get his current state.

“I’m going to kill you!!”

………...

Shawn sat on top of a building in his full silver armor looking down at Elk, his blond hair blowing in the wind looking quite heroic

“I suppose you could call this fate”

Shawn spoke first.

“Hmm, how so?”

“I’ve always heard the name Elk ‘the sword of the Royal family’ so I’m naturally curious”

Elk couldn’t help but laugh upon hear Shawn’s words.

“It’s strange for the younger generation to respect the old….it unfortunate that we have to meet like this”

Everyone in alliance knew Elk as a scary old man but truth be told he wasn’t, he just rarely smiled and really hated the queen and her family so when you put those together the common misconception about him can be understood.

Shawn slowly stood up and casually stomping the top of the building.

Wosh

Wosh

Wosh

The surrounding aren’t turned into an armory on the side of all the surrounding buildings swords started rising out of the ground, some of them levitated above ground while the majority remaind in the ground.

“I suppose so”

Shawn jumped off the side of the building pulling swords out of the wall throwing it with all his might at Elk.

As if this was a cue the swords in the air started shooting at Elk.

From the outside looking in swords shot down at Elk like it was raining.

Still Elk’s expression reminded the same, drawing one of the swords from the ground he moved gracefully among the raining blades dodging them all, what he couldn’t avoid he used the sword to knock them away.

The swords destroyed everything they came in contact with for miles around, the section of the city they were in was completely and utterly destroyed.

Landing on the ground Shawn didn’t stop he just grabbed a random sword and rushed up to Elk.

Elk did the samething, discarding The now broken sword and pulling another one out of the ground.

…………..

Unlike everyone else who at least said a few words to their opponents Rhyno didn’t, he just created five clones but the old man had other plans.

“Looks like the young have no respect for their elders, at least introduce yourself first, I’m Gle-“

Before he couldn’t finish talking his mouth was forcefully shut by a clone who was crouched down in front of him, knocking him into the air.

“You’re Glen the Phoenix, I know”

The clone that crouched down in front of Glen flipped up into a handstand, using his legs to lock Glen’s body in mid-air.

“Gaza’s sovereignty is absolute”

Another clone jumped up in front of the trapped Glen, opening his palm slamming it on the back of Glen’s head and the other on his neck.

Glen’s neck was bent at an unnatural angle and the back of his head caved in, the clones dropped him and retreated back to the original body.

“A Phoenix won’t die that easily, get up”
