Everything happened before anyone could react to it but once people saw the red dome even though they knew what it was they still ran to the city exists banging on the barrier.
It’s in the moment like these that the darkness in people’s heart is revealed, people kept running, pushing those who had fallen were stepped on.
“Stop pushing!”
“Ahh!!! Stop!! You're crushing me!”
“Fuck are you people crazy!”
The people in the city kept running around like crazy trying to find a way out of the city. This was the capital, If anyone was to attack here they have the strength to back it up or just stupid either way no one wanted to find out.
Their fear was completely justified Adidja was known by all as the ‘War Teacher’ as far back as anyone could go he’s never lost.
Yet here was someone who was will to seal off the entire city that he lived in they must have a lot of confidence in their strength to do this, so no matter how much faith they had in him no one wanted to become a casualty of war.
After a few minutes of this the guards finally showed up forcing the citizens to go back inside their homes, of course, some tried to resist but they were all beaten savagely to discourage others.
So even though the citizens were unwilling the majority of them were forced back inside or at the very least they were in a controlled area making noise, as for the stronger ones they were still running around the city trying to find a way out.
It was at this moment that Rodney, Elk, Kyle and two other old men and another young man exited the portal and as if waiting for this cue Adidja, Rhyno, Shawn, and Grimm appeared on top of the palace look up at Rodney and the others.
The moment he appeared Adidja’s light laughter rang throughout the city when the people heard their king laughing all of them without exception looked in the direction the laughter originated from.
"Hold on, looks like everyone is here today? you wouldn’t be planning to ambush me right?... or were you just passing by and decided to pay me a visit?”
A hint of sadness flashed in Adidja’s eyes as he looked at his casual unadorned outfit.
“Poor me sitting at home trying to enjoy the day and now I have to entertain guess’”
Adidja spoke casually like he was speaking friends he’d know for years, his casual cause a lot of the citizens to calm down.
“Phew looks like his majesty knows them, so maybe it’ll be fine?”
…………….
Azreal stood at his original position frozen.
‘Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!!’
When Elk came through the portal he was wearing his military uniform which aside from the decoration on his uniform for his rank, it was the exact same uniform as those he’d killed.
If there wasn’t a barrier around the city right now he’d be long gone.
But right after spotting Elk’s someone he’d be happy to see in any other moment expect this one came out of the portal and as if his luck wasn’t bad enough the moment he spotted Kyle was the moment Kyle spotted him.
He didn’t fear Kyle at all, in fact with everything he read in Kyles notes he was eighty percent certain that he would kill him but if Kyle was to tell the guys beside him who was obviously stronger by far then he’d be pretty much fucked.
Fortunately for him, Kyle didn’t have the slightest intention of telling anyone, the moment he stopped Azreal his gaze didn’t move an inch.
…………….
“Hmph! visit? You wiped out an entire camp filled with our soldiers yet you’re trying to feign ignorance?”
Elk’s tone didn’t contain any of the anger that was supposed to be there.
Adidja smile grew broader.
“Who says I’m feigning ignorance?, I know exactly what happened and so do you. You just wanted an excuse but I can’t be upset because if I was in your shoes I’d do the exact same thing”

His casual tone started turning serious as he continued.
“Hahah but if you aren't death himself, then I suggest you go back home because it's going to take a miracle for me to fall here today, all of you on the other hand heh..."
Clap
Clap
Clap
A simple lackluster clapping rang across the city followed up with a nonchalant voice.
"As eloquent as ever, I’d expect no less from one of my sons"
Adidja’s maintained him brilliant smile.
“I don’t suppose you’d be willing to sit down and talk this out?”
An awkward moment of silence enveloped the entire city but that didn’t seem to affect Adidja’s mood in the slightest, he was still smiling while playing with the ring on his finger.
After another minute or so Rodney opened his mouth to speak.
“Mhmmm if you can hand over the person responsible for killing my soldier's then we’ll talk”
……………..
The moment Adidja and the people from Alliance appeared Azreal was already looking for a way to leave the city.
While trying to find a way out he met up on Dustin and the others.
“Do you guys know what’s going on?”
Dustin and the others looked at each other they weren’t sure how to reply.
“We don’t know, right now we’re just trying to find a way out of the city”
“Same”
For the entire time, Sadie didn’t look at Azreal, she kept her fist clenched as if she was about to take action at anymore.
“Are you okay? How about we try to find a way out together?”
Noticing Sadie’s action Azreal touched her shoulder to try and comfort her. If all of them joined together his chances of escaping out of this nightmare would be a lot higher.
Sadie clenched her teeth together in anger.
‘This is all your fault yet your acting like you know nothing! Despicable!’
……...
“Mhmmm if you can hand over the person responsible for killing my soldier's then we’ll talk”
……….
When Rodney words entered Azreal’s ears all the life drained from his body but he soon found comfort in the fact that no one saw him that night and it didn’t look like Kyle planned on selling him out.
The entire city was enveloped in silence no one spoke, no one dared to breathe too hard, this only made Azreal feel even better.
If only life followed the script we thought up in our minds.
“It was him!”
The silence was completely shattered by a woman’s voice, but one replied all eyes looked in the direction of the voice.
“He did it my friend saw it!”
The voice once again rang out when no one replied, The voice was all too familiar to Azreal, every single pair of eyes in the city were all focused on one place.
‘That bitch!’
When Azreal turned around he saw Sadie point directly at him looking terrified as hell, Dustin and Reyner were completely stunned.
Azreal didn’t know or care how she knew, his mind kept spinning turning to find a way out.
“Oh”
The city was deathly silence so of course, nothing escaped Rodney’s ears, he shot a side glance at Kyle who nodded his head.
“And who is your friend?”
Sadie didn’t dare hesitate a second the moment Rodney spoke she pointed at Dustin.
Having been put in the spotlight Dustin gave Azreal an apologetic glance, between the True God that was in front of him now and the possibility that Azreal brought, he chose to tell the truth beside if Azreal’s identity was what he thought it was then he’d probably have some way to save his own life.
Taking a deep breath he began recounting the story of what happened that night.
Before Dustin even got halfway through the story, he stopped talking, horror was written on his face, in fact, the entire city was surprised.
At the moment Azreal’s sword had punctured Sadie’s stomach but it didn’t end there in one quick motion Azreal pulled out the sword and ran it through Dustin’s heart.
Sadie stood in the middle of the two guys so it wasn’t hard to cut them down, the stab alone wouldn’t be able to really hurt a God but add the purple fire that was burning on the blade and that would be a different story.
Under normal circumstances it would’ve been impossible to kill too God’s this easily but none of them had their guards up, no one expected Azreal would be crazy enough to kill two people in front of two True Gods.
Under everyone’s stunned gaze he started running away like a madman.
No one moved an inch every single one of them was convinced that he was crazy.
He dared to kill someone a True God was talking to? And to add insult to injury he did it right in front of everyone.
Reyner just stood there in a daze he wasn’t even sure how to react his mind was completely blank as he fell to his knees in front of Sadie’s body, no tears fell from his eyes they were completely vacant.
Due to the shock, they were all feeling no one noticed the two greyish phantoms that flew inside Azreal’s sword.
As Adidja watch the scene play out a hint of surprise showed on his face but soon he started smiling.
Rodney, on the other hand, shot Elk a quick glance, Elk nodded to him showing a small smile.
Both Adidja and Rodney’s action happened before anyone else noticed.
Everything else aside Rodney and Adidja found the situation quite funny but still they couldn’t display any signs of their amusement.
Rodney is the one who lost face due to Azreal’s actions and Adidja just watched two of his citizens die in front of him.
Rodney gave the signal for one of the old men who stood behind him to pursue Azreal.
Before the old man could cover a good distance he was forced out of the sky by a kick to the face forcing him head first into the ground but that didn’t matter because Kyle moved off the moment the old man was taken down but no one moved forward to stop him.
Shortly after the other young man that disappeared but again no one tried to stop him.
“Looks like there is going to be a fight after all”
Adidja let out a sigh that not even a fool would believe that it contained any sadness.
“Clear the city”
The moment the order was issued the entire city started glowing with a blood red color, at the same time the tokens in everyone’s possession started glowing just the same, those who didn’t have tokens had markings on their skin which glowed red.
The light continued glowing brighter and brighter until it was almost blinding, when the light reached its peak it vanished along with everyone.
Rodney didn’t take any attack since none of it mattered to him, the person he was here for was right in front of him.
Well except for Azreal he was still running with Kyle hot on his tail.
