Charles proceeded, to go back to sleep. He hoped everything would resolve itself somehow. Maybe his father will come save him.
Unfortunately, it didn't work. Instead, his mother pulled him up and dragged him out of bed.
"We're late, we gotta hurry," said his mother.
"*Yawn* where are we going?" Charles asked, clearly tired of waking up early in the morning, and you know, being dragged across the floor.
"No questions, you've got places to go. Now move!" shouted his mother, pulling him along.
They walked outside, where Charles noticed that the sky was bright blue and there were birds flying overhead.
He was no longer being dragged on the ground. He was instead pulled by his hand.
This is a good time to remind you ONCE AGAIN, my dear readers, that Charles is FUCKING THREE.
What kind of monster would drag a child like this? What kind of sick fuck would do such a thing?
Oh wait, I remember now!
ITS THE WIFE OF A DUKE! AND THE MOTHER OF SAID CHILD!
What an excellent example for the children. Good thing Charles is so nonchalant about this whole ordeal else heads would fly off if his father heard about this.
I know you can't hear me but Charles. Boy. LISTEN TO ME. You have the power here. You are the hair. go to your father and tell him. I get the biggest "fuck you" to a bully is ignoring them, but you are getting physically harmed. This isn't normal. Go to your dad. PLEASE.
The castle. It is HUGE. and empty of decorations. This dukedom has a very interesting history I can give a 3k word chapter to later.
So yeah, Charles is being taken to the to some kind of massive room, with massive doors. Everything is so fucking big in this castle I swear...
He entered the large hall and was greeted by a man with a mustache similar to his own. He wore robes, and a crown.
"Good day sir," said Charles.
"Hello there, little one. I am king steve, of the kingdom of Britonica." said King Steve.
Are you flipping serious I swear to God...
"Do you know why you are here?" asked the king.
"No, I was forcedly dragged here by my mother that told me there isn't time to explain" said Charles in the most bored voice I have ever heard, not that I was a narrator for such a long time however.
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
King Steve laughed, "You have some humour for a child. I approve."
My guess is that he wants to marry Charles off to some princess or princesses, not sure about the system in place for marriage on this planet yet.
Aaaaany ways, he continued "Your father and I had a deal, which involves you marrying into my royal family."
That's odd, thought Charles. Why would he want me to marry some random princess from another country? He than stopped thinking about that, because it was stupid to even think about the reason. Political alliances. Shit. That's all they are doing. They are using me as political leverage against other countries.
Fucking politics.
What is this the third time already? He's three. You know what fuck it I don't even care anymore. All it took was one chapter for me to hate them. Screwwww youuu-
Moving on, yet again, this is getting rather plain by this point.
The king started speaking, but Charles couldn't hear him correctly due to him receiving brain damage from being dragged on the floor. Although I doubt that is the case because he talked with the king before.
"Sorry, I can't understand you. Could you repeat that?" asked Charles in a monotone voice.
"Of course child." said the king, "You see, the deal is simple. In exchange for us supporting you and your family financially, you must agree to marry one of my daughters once you reach adulthood. Of course, I am saying that like you have a choice, you don't really have one, it's just for formality."
"Is this true?" asked Charles, sounding more annoyed than surprised.
"Yes it is, although technically, you do have sort of a choice. You could refuse to accept our offer, which means we will turn away from you, causing you to lose our support, making you unable to inherit any property or money until you find yourself a wife of an equal or higher status." Said king Steve.
"Of course, being married with one of my daughters comes with many political leverages, as I am the king of this realm." He said confidently.
"If you're offering this to me, it must mean marrying to one of your daughters is a rather common thing amongst the duke's of this land, thus meaning I don't get as much as you are painting this to be. Also, you are getting much more leverage on me, as my reputation will be damaged more, should I choose anything against you. Is that right?" Charles inquired.
The king started sweating and nervously laughed, "That is correct. Howthehelldoyouknowthat..."
It's called 3789 hours of crusader kings 2 you poor fool. Thought Charles.
The king calmed down after realizing who he was talking to, which was a three year old child (How many times do you think I said three year old by this point? I can't honestly bother to check).
"Don't worry, I won't say anything about this meeting to anyone, except my father, and my sisters, and the maids, and practically everyone else I meet ." Said Charles.
"You little... You know what I'm going to do to you!" screamed the king in anger.
"Now now, let's not start fighting over something so petty," said Charles calmly.
"THIS IS RIDICULES! YOU CANNOT HAVE MY DAUGHTER FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER! ESPECIALLY NOT IF IT IS IN EXCHANGE OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT! CHILD... YOU HAVE MADE A POWERFUL ENEMY TODAY!" The king yelled furiously.
Charles simply stared blankly at him.
Then he smiled and pointed at him with a middle finger.
...
The king froze as he saw the three year old pointing at him with a middle finger, blankly looking at him.
Did I forget to mention child abuser #2 (aka Charles's mother) has left the room after the meeting started because she is such a supportive mother? Does anyone understand what's going on anymore? All of this in a single chapter i... I just don't... Wh-
Okay, okay. Calm down.
Let's recap:
1. Charles was dragged out of bed by his mom without permission.
2. His mother lied to him and said there wasn't time to talk about things when there was time to talk about things.
3. He was then dragged into some kind of huge room with a king who offered him marriage to one of his daughters and then started screaming at him that he "made a powerful enemy today" for some reason (honestly, it was probably due to his rudeness)
4. After hearing this news, Charles gave the king a middle finger.
This didn't help.
