Kei had finally led the demons out of their underground dwellings and into the light! At first, it hurted a lot of people's eyes because ... most of them being living underground for many years.
After a week, all the demons migrated to former captial Yogol. The demons who knew how to live before the end of the war became authority figures. Kei gave them positions such as chief of education, agriculture, and so forth. People needed to learn to live in civilized society or make their standard of living better than dwelling in caves. Kei witnessed people eating with their hands. Even the concept of currency was lost to some people.
It will definitely be a long process. So he needed educated, wise leaders to stepped up the plate like that old man he met.
It been a couple of weeks for everyone to get use to their new home. It was a large city, it was best to live close to the castle. It was where Kei, their savior, resided in.
What been concerning these past few weeks was that his mana kept returning in staggering amounts. He summoned new creatures and servants to keep his mana from overloading his body. This was the most frustrating thing since he came to this world.
He was losing his fighting force in droves. A few messengers talked about white knights a.k.a Holy Knights. Deco Parade numbered in a million, but they were being decimated and pushed back. Kei ordered a retreat to Chesire Kingdom's border where they first started.
Even the force Kei gave to Elen was wiped out. Which most likely meant that Elen had failed to secure the throne. Then, their agreement was null and void.
Kei was scratching his brain with this new predicament. When the white knights started to show up, everything was turning south. Kei can take down a handful of them but fighting against a troop consisting of them, it's a death wish.
Kei was wrecking his brain on how to take them on. If they were seperate smaller chunks of them, it would be easier destroying one small group at a time. But from SG Talwar, there were hundreds of them fighting in unison.
Kei lamented while standing by the edge of the balcony of the castle. He can see the demons rebuilding the houses and children playing. Then Kei banged his head on the handrail a few times before Vetros stopped him.
"What's the matter!?" Vetros yelled.
"Trouble." Kei responded in a monotone voice.
"Trouble?"
Kei only nodded his head. Kei tried to communicate with Deco again through the priestess but nothing happened. Kei worried if he died, there wouldn't be a second time!
No! No! Why the fuck! Am I freaking out!
Kei was not acting like himself.
Kei turned to face Vetros and said: "I'm heading back to Chesire. I'm bringing the others here. Okay?" Kei spoke in stern tone. Vetros responded with a nod.
Like that - he's gone.

[Back at Eluvia's capital - the castle - Elen's room]
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Elen slowly opened her eyes and sunlight hitted her eyes. She turned her body away from the light and she suddenly jolted up. She looked around and she realized she was in her old room. It was big and lavish as she remembered for any royalty. It only been a few months since she had been here.
Once her memories of the throne room resurfaced. She can't help but filled with resentment!
All the turmoil she went through! She was captured and became a slave! Got caught up with Kei and his gang of outcasts! Even when she went back and met Johl, he said nothing! It was all a joke to everyone! Her fate could've gotten worse!
She was prepared to kill her uncle and spill elven blood for that throne.
Someone dressed Elen in lighter clothes. Elen ran towards her large closet, it was filled with dresses, under garments, and attires and equipments for combat. She put on a fitting outfit that looked similar to an veteran adventurer. One problem was that all her weapons were confiscated.
As Elen was collecting her disorderly thoughts, her the door was opened. It was a human woman in a white robe and her uncle, along with Kirin.
Her uncle, Remis, introduces to her as the bishop of the Life Church.
There was a quietness at first but then the bishop. The bishop demanded everything Elen and Kirin knows about Kei. What he looked like, his habits, what was he doing, his allies, every little tidbit.
Kirin was the first to speak and so those Elen.
At the end Elen hesitated and she asked, "Are you planning to kill him?"
The bishop raised an eyebrow and replied, "Of course." She had a wholehearted smile while saying that.
"I see. We're on the right path then," said the bishop.
With that, the bishop quickly left without proper farewell. Now there's only Elen, Kirin, and Remis.
Elen slumped onto the floor. Everything feels like it was all coming to an end. Most of the nations were in shambles and those who stood alive will continued to live on, to rebuild what was destroyed.
The question still lingered in her head. How will Kei overcome this?
Elen can care less that he was going to be dead. One less psychopath in the world right?
Then she remembered her agreement with Kei, but it seemed less important now. She doesn't know if she's wants the throne and she was exhausted. Like, all the strings on her body that were dragging her body stopped pulling her.
Her uncle, Remis, stared off out of the window after the bishop, waiting for an opportunity to speak.
Elen decided to break the silence, she asked Remis: "I heard the production of the mining operations increased to the point slaves were working to death. Is that right?"
"Yes, that's right. Now, the mining is halted for now." Remis replied. Once the Runis State was no more, there's was no point to overwork their laborers.
Elen was a bit suprised that the whole operation took a complete stop. "So, are all the slaves having a long break? That is really generous."
"What? Oh no-no. Those Holy Knights kills any demon they see in sight. At the slave shops, inside people's homes, and the the mines. I have to calm the people down and compensate for the damages. What a mess." Remis rubbed his temple.
He continued speaking: "You might forget or didn't care, but back in the Holy War, the Holy Knights pushed the demons into near extinction. They had a odd fixation to slaughter demons."
Elen sightly frowned and looked downward. Kirin saw Elen's sadden expression and jumped on Elen's bed and gave her hug.
Kirin said: "It's over. You...you don't have to carry the burden no more. The church will kill Kei." Kirin was happy in contrast to the gloomy state of Elen. Kirin didn't understand why Elen wasn't jumping for joy.
"Yeah... You're right."

Kei made haste to the capital of Chesire Kingdom. Once there, he gathered Bridget, Polin, and Jacklin. He explained what was going on. He decided to send the girls away, while he gathered the remains of his summons and summoned more.
Kei then received a letter from Skeleton General Talwar.
[My Lord. We're situated ourselves at Fort Caca. The white knights are pursuing us non-stop.
Our scouts estimated they will arrive by tomorrow.]

Deco Parade was preparing their last stand. Any high-ranking individuals that were left were in large room of the fort.
Kipa, the Orc King, shouted, "No lose. FIGHT UNTIL NO MORE!"
"Yes, yes. We get it Kipa," Johanna said as she gazed at her nails. "So... Just the three of us left? No more coming Talwar?"
"Yes, a couple will be back before sunrise. I'm sure our lord will come with reinforcement. We just need to stall for time."
"I'm sure he will. Ahhh... I wish to continue to explore this world too."
