I Manage with What I have

In a quiet corner, I sat hunched over the wooden plank, carefully carving each letter with the small knife my dad had gifted to me. The crisp sound of the blade meeting the wood filled the air, as I focused intently on my task. Then there a girl watched and approached me from behind, her eyes wide with curiosity. She tiptoed and peeked over my shoulder; her voice filled with wonder.

Lianee: What are you doing?

Ethan: Hey... I'm carving letters on this.

Lianee leaned in closer, her eyes filled with curiosity and wonder. She squinted, trying to get a better look at my handiwork.

Ethan: Alright! (the feeling of accomplishment washed over)

Ethan: Hey, Lianee! How about we have some fun with this.

Lianee: Play with this? How?

I chuckled and gestured towards the wooden plank. Lianee gathered around the carved lettered plank, I began to explain to this curious friend.

Ethan: Okay, Lianee, this letter is.... It makes the sound like this...

As Lianee and me immersed themselves in the game, time seemed to slip away unnoticed.

Lianee: Wow, Ethan! You remember all the letters!

Ethan: It's not too hard once you practice (Well I’m with my old mental age... perk of reborn)

Lianee: Really? I always get confused with some of the letters.

Ethan: Lianee, how about I lend you half of it? You can practice at home too!

Lianee: Oh thank you, I promise I'll take good care of it. I'll make sure to return it to you as soon as I'm done.

But as the sun began its descent, Lianee's mother's voice carried on the breeze, calling her back home. With the wooden plank safely in her hands, she waved goodbye, Lianee turned and hurried off to join her waiting mother. As Lianee disappeared from view, I couldn't help but grin with satisfaction. I turned around to find my dad, Travis, standing there with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.

Travis: Well, well, Ethan. It seems you've made quite an impression on Lianee with your carving skills. Is she your biggest fan now?

Ethan: Oh, come on, Dad. We were just having fun with the wooden plank. Lianee was really interested in learning, so I thought I'd lend her half of it.

Dear Invisible Diary,

Today, the weather was delightful. The sky was adorned with fluffy white clouds. The air felt refreshingly cool, and I couldn't help but feel in a wave of drowsiness. Oh, how tempting it was to surrender to the call of slumber and drift away into dreamland!

For now, I will cherish the memory of this pleasant day, where the breeze caressed my skin and the clouds whispered lullabies.

Yours in daydreams,

Ethan

Travis: Ethan! I could use your help bringing the farm equipment back to the house. Come on!

I woke up from my peaceful nap in the hammock, the gentle rocking motion having sent me into a tranquil sleep. Blinking my eyes open, I momentarily felt a sense of confusion before realizing that my dad was calling out to me.

Ethan: Huh? Oh, right! I'm coming, Dad!

With a stretch and a yawn, I untangled himself from the cozy embrace of the hammock and made my way towards my dad. I untied the hammock, carefully folding it and securing it in the bag. I then joined my dad, ready to lend a hand in carrying the farm equipment.

Travis: How about coming with me to see the peddler?

My eyes lit up with curiosity and excitement. I had heard stories about the peddler who traveled from village to village, offering various goods and wares I mean it always mention in an isekaid novel.

Ethan: Okay.

As we continued our march towards the house, My mind buzzed with anticipation. I couldn't wait to witness the assortment of items the peddler would showcase the following day. As dad and I continued our journey towards the house, a man approached me with a request.

Mr. Kusack: Hey… Ethan, I must say, I had to get that... hay..mock? for myself.

Ethan: Its hammock! hammm mock.

As a matter of fact, Mr. Kusack had already tried the hammock to the test after I completed its setup the previous day. He offered to provide the necessary materials and pay me for the craft work.

Ethan: Of course! I'd be happy to make a hammock for you. Just bring me the materials...

Mr. Kusack voiced his enthusiasm, stating that the hammock would be an excellent and cozy companion for his upcoming journey to the neighboring town. He appreciated the practicality and comfort it would provide during his travels. I asked Mr. Kusack when he planned to leave, and Mr. Kusack replied that he would depart once all the crops had been harvested.

Ethan: Wait, you're telling me there's a flying beast that can get stonemount range in just one day from the neighboring town?

Mr. Kusack: You got It. It'll cost you 2 shiny gold glint

Ethan: (gasps) Two gold..? That's a lot! Huarghh
