As I opened my eyes and felt like I got hit by a truck, I saw my mom's fatigued face and..

...and there were these crazy glowing texts floating on the ceiling. Could this be one of those isekai perks they talk about. It's like straight out of a fantasy story or video game! My head is still spinning from all of it, though. Maybe I should get more sleep and see if things make sense when I wake up.
Travis: Are you feeling better?
Ethan: (smiling) Yeah, much better now, thank you.
Travis: Miss Dealara said she'd come by to check on you soon.
Ethan: Alright... Thanks for looking after me... You should go rest with mom.
Travis: (looking at Ethan curiously) Something on the ceiling?
Ethan: (hesitant) Um, it's nothing.
Travis: (concerned) Are you sure you're feeling okay?
I just nodded, but my eyes were still fixated on the strange floating text I could see.
After my dad left, I sat there slowly eating my lunch. The food looked bizarre, like a green-colored liquid, but I figured they must have put some medicine in it to help me feel better. I couldn't help but notice the floating text about jobs in this fantasy land. There were so many options! I could be a Hero, a Hunter, or even a Housekeeper! Haha, that one made me laugh. But seriously, it's kind of overwhelming to choose from all these different jobs. I wonder which one would suit me best? It's like picking a class in a video game. I looked at the list of job options, I wondered if I met the certain requirements for all of them to pop up.
In my small room with just one window, Lianee walked in looking sad and upset. Her eyes were a bit red, and she wasn't smiling like she usually does.
Ethan: (concerned) Hey Lianee, what's wrong? You seem upset.
Lianee: (sniffling) It's nothing, I'm fine.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Ethan: (persistent) Come on, you can tell me.
Lianee: (teary-eyed) It's just...
Liam: (entering the room) Well, you know Ethan, not everybody can survive this kind of fever.
Ethan: Ah! I'm much better today, thanks for worrying about me
Lianee: (smiling through tears) I'm glad you're feeling better, Ethan.
Ethan: How about we all have a picnic by the lake in the forest? The hot wind season is almost here, and it's the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors!
Lianee: Picnic?
Oh no, I completely forgot that picnics are almost non-existent in this fantasy land!
Ethan: What I meant was, we can pack some sandwiches or gather some fruit from the forest and enjoy them at a beautiful spot by the lake.
Liam: (enthusiastic) Oh, that sounds like so much...
As Liam started talking, Miss Dealara, the wizard, entered the room with my father. It was the first time I had seen her so up close. Her short white hair and glasses over one eye intrigued me. What caught my attention even more was the faint scent of flower-herb-spice that seemed to surround her.
After a while, Liam, Lianee, and my father left the room, leaving me alone with Miss Dealara. The atmosphere in the room felt slightly tense, and I wasn't sure what to say or do. Miss Dealara brought out some magic tools and a potion. The color of the potion was so mesmerizing, I couldn't take my eyes off it. As I watched the potion, I felt a sense of relaxation wash over me. Miss Dealara then checked on me and cast a spell.
Miss Dealara looked at me with a suspicious gaze, making me feel a little uneasy. I am hoping that her healing spell had worked its magic.
Ethan: Am I okay?
Miss Dealara: Your body is healthy, and your massive magic energy seems to flow naturally within you, even though you are still young.
Ethan: Magic energy? Wait, you mean I have magic? Are you talking about MP?
Miss Dealara: Emmpi? I'm not sure about the "Emmpi" you're talking about. But what are these rune symbols above your head? (She pointed out on the ceiling.)
Ethan: Hold on, you can see these too?
Miss Dealara: Yes, I can see them. These rune symbols.
Ethan: Rune symbols? So, are you able to read it?
Miss Dealara: I can’t read it. But my college might able to read some of it...
Ethan: Ha ha ha....
Miss Dealara: Is this your magical ability?
Ethan: No, no, it appeared after I woke up from the fever.
Miss Dealara found it quite amusing and said it was a rare phenomenon for her to encounter such a unique situation.
Ethan: Maybe it's because of you are a high-rank wizard so you can see them
Miss Dealara: So, what do you plan to do about it?
Ethan: Well ...It will likely disappear on its own...
Miss Dealara: Oh, are you truly just five years old? You seem so calm about it
Ethan: I hear that a lot. I'm almost six years old.
Miss Dealara: Since you have quite a lot of magic energy. You should consider becoming a wizard. I can teach you.
After our conversation, Miss Dealara left, repeating three times for me to consider the wizard profession. She mentioned that there were only eight high-rank wizards in the whole world. I couldn't help but ponder her words as I thought, it seemed like a tempting and exciting path to explore. Hmmm even though it's a rune symbol, I could read it... normally.
I looked up one job after another and read the simple descriptions regarding each of them. Hero? Nah, dealing with all that hassle is not my thing. But wait, is there an enemy to be defeated? If there are, I'd be more than happy to provide full support. I continued scrolling down the list, and my eyes landed on another option. How about this one...? I mumbled, pondering whether it would be the right fit for me.
In the end, I grabbed my diary and started writing, poured my heart out onto the pages.

A soft "ding" sound echoed through the room, catching my attention. I glanced up, and there it was—a new rune symbol glowing brightly before my eyes. "ᚨᚱᚲᚨᚾᛖ ᛋᛖᚨᚲᚨᚱ," it read, and I couldn't help but feel a jolt of excitement.
