Hey guys, Dotblue here. It's been a minute since we finished Deadworld Isekai and we have a couple of pretty exciting updates for the series.
But before that, let's talk about Tyr, our resident tech wizard. As many of you know, Tyr was a large part of why Deadworld Isekai was possible. He helped us on the technology side and also with dozens, if not hundreds, of smaller tasks. The book wouldn't exist without him. These days, he's writing The LitRPG Bulletin, a twice a week newsletter that highlights 5 quotes from LitRPG books he's been reading.
One of the books he featured in the newsletter was Deadworld Isekai. And here are the five quotes he chose.
#1 🗞️
Chapter 1: Trucked
Matt had once had an incompetent manager who tried to spin off difficulties that their bad management created as “fun little team challenges.” He wasn’t absolutely sure that this was the same thing, but the system was giving off strong Janice Covers Her Ass vibes, and he didn’t feel great about it.
#2 🗞️
Chapter 1: Trucked
When weeds popped up, he’d absolutely nuke them with herbicide. At first, he was cautious about the dosages, but then stopped after he realized you couldn’t get cancer twice, and it wouldn’t matter much even if he did.

#3 🗞️
Chapter 29: Janice must be so pissed
Nobody messes with my loot.
#4 🗞️
Chapter 71: Pool Noodle Arms
“Where did you get it?”
”I found it. In the ground. It’s a long story.”
“Ha! Perfect. A shovel that bends around the arcane physics of the universe, and this rube just finds it. Let me guess. You’ve actually been using it as a shovel?”
“Yeah?”
#5 🗞️
Chapter 83: An Unhonest Matt
He looked like a man with a seafood allergy who had questioned the fidelity of a superpowered shrimp’s wife.
Tyr's also done newsletter issues for Mage Tank, Rise of the Living Forge, and Magical Girl Crystal Genocide! If this seems like something you'd enjoy, please do subscribe and support him! Here's the full link - https://thelitrpgbulletin.substack.com/
So now for the Deadworld update.
Audio! We're still keeping this a bit under wraps but an audiobook for the series is under way with a tentative release date in the late spring 2024! We're pretty excited about the narrator and think it'll be really great.
In the meantime, we're also looking at side story ideas for the series. If you have any suggestions, feel free to comment below or message us at [email protected]
Cheers and happy reading y'all.
