Arum walked slowly among the trees, she minded each and every step she had to make. The weak light the night sky provided could only lit her path ever so slightly, yet still she proceeded with caution and determination.
If, any sane person was allowed to comment about the reckless thing she was currently doing, they would say 'she must have a death wish'. But she had to do this, this was the only path she knew to reach the power she needed.
In Enigmatic Eclipse, there was a certain build that was designed to help players who could only play on a certain hours. Two of them were Daughter of Dawn and Son of Sunrise. Both were tools provided to those whose free time was spanned between 4 a.m. to 6 a.m.
People who had awful job that made them work for more than 8 hours a day, who were usually went home at 8 p.m. or later, and had to arrive at work around 8 in the morning, were the main audience who really loved to use these two builds.
Daughter of Dawn and Son of Sunrise were essentially a
Needless to say, those bonus was a godsend for the targeted players, and made them enjoy the game without sacrificing their life for grinding. And, to make sure that the game was balanced, and the title only benefitted the targeted audience so no naughty players abused it, the
The penalty of +90% damage received was not given in the consideration that it was not impossible for the targeted audience to be able to login outside designated hours, so they would still able to explore / walk around the game's world without being pissed at getting killed easily because the damage-received penalty. And, remembering that the game had took big portion of their power to kill an opponent in battle and essentially made it impossible for them to level up outside the designated hours, the developers deemed the penalty was enough to prevent the

That's why Arum had set out to the forest this early in the morning, she had to fulfill the requirement, hunting five animals from the first light until the beginning of the sunrise, repeating the process for the next fourteen days and hoped that the game mechanic still worked and gave her the
But hunting in the game and in her current world couldn't be more different. For instance, it was hard to venture the forest when the sun wasn't lighting your way, even though she only went into the outer part where the trees and their canopies were still relatively sparse. And, unlike in the game, she had to search, in its truest meaning. Because no animals just conveniently coming her way as she walk around without real destination. No animals would do that, not the one that she could fight, at least.
She was sure the animals in blue, red, and black zone would spare her the trouble of searching for them as soon as she stepped in into their territory, but she was here to get stronger, not to get killed, so venturing to those zone was out of question.
Fortunately for her, her father had taught her what animals were easy to kill and where to find them.
Arum walked closer to the trees that were on her sight. Inspecting each, and every one of them, on their lowest part, where the root began to take shape.
If there was a gap or a cave-like hole in there, no matter how small it was, try to poke it with twig or something. Her father words echoed in her head, and Arum did as she was taught. She thrusted the kitchen knife in her left hand into the hole or the gap she found on the base of a tree repeatedly.
If there was something in there, one out of two things will come out. Either it was a Hivehare, or a Woodwell. Both were harmless enough for us to hunt. But be careful, if you are not fast-
Suddenly, a small thing with fur dashed out of the hole she had poked, Arum brought down the hammer in her right hand as fast she could, and hit the small-fur-thing before it could ran into the deeper part of the forest. But as it turned out, one hit wasn't enough, the thing recovered and darted into the night.
-it will vanish, and hide in another bush or tree.
Arum sighed and felt downhearted, "This isn't gonna be easy, is it." She said out loud, and looked up at the disappearing night.
