Arum stood outside while leaning on the wooden wall of her house. She stared at the sky above, which currently was still as dark as midnight.
Long story short, The First King had chosen our family solely because we were the only one he could find when he marched here with thousands of his knight. Truth to be told, there were a handful of other families who resided deep within the forest, and our ancestor had told him about them too. But apparently he was reluctant to trouble himself by entering the woods just to meet them, or waiting our ancestor to gather them all so they could meet him at the outskirt.
So yeah, he told our ancestor that he was the king of a new kingdom he called Akavry, declared this forest as one of his territory, and ennobled our great-great-great grandfather as the baron who ruled over this region as his proxy. He tasked two female and two male knights to serve under our families, then left. He and his descendants never come here again ever since.
The words his father told her yesterday morning rung loudly in her head. The backstory of Foulrest Barony revealed much more information that she initially had hoped.
First, she was made aware of her current location. Her father had told her that this region was located at the northwest-end of the kingdom, it meant that -if her memory of the game map was still correct- she was in a region the game called Sdragiwt. It was a small plain with a distant forest on the background. In the game, it was used only as a boss-fight ground where players must defeated a dryad to get a certain key item, and that's it. That's why Arum couldn't recognize the forest nor the NPCs who lived here, because they weren't explored in the game, the entire location of her home was only shown merely as a background which players couldn't get close not enter.

Second, she was in Akavry Kingdom, and her family was a barony at that. In the game -Main Story wise- Akavry was where the second verse of the story took place. There were three verses of the main story and each only happened in one great map. The First verse of the main story took place in the Gravha, The Falling Empire, and the third verse of the story took place in the wilderness behind the great Savrac Mountain Range. All three verses shared the same big event at the end of the story, namely, the happening of the enigmatic eclipse.
Arum closed her eyes and sighed, No matter what verse I would involved in, I best be prepared.
Enigmatic Eclipse was an RPG, gaining physical and magical strength was the core of it. Whatever would happen, she must pursued a real personal prowess so she could get through any hardship the game would throw her way. Initially, she was afraid that her current family's background as a barony would get her entangled with unnecessary politics. But by the look of it, the domain her family reigned over was just a forgotten land in the edge of the kingdom, and her family was just small irrelevant noble house. Still, she had to be prepared.
Arum opened her eyes, and stared at the starry night. This time, there was a glint of light on the sky. Arum crouched down and picked up a hammer and a knife from the ground she had prepared beforehand. Then, she got up and walked towards the forest.
The first light had been sighted, the dawn was coming.
