Chapter 036

Unexpected Obstacles

At the same time Dai rushes over to Matsuno and he jumps into the air and tries to kick him in the face but Matsuno catches his foot and Dai punches him in the face with his flaming gauntlet but Matsuno just looks at him and Dai grabs his face and Dai *smiles* and says

"Take this!" As his fire gauntlet explodes pushing everyone back and kicking up smoke everywhere but as the smoke clears Dai’s *shocked* as he sees Matsuno unfazed and Matsuno slams Dai's face into the ground and Matsuno turns around and rushes Riku and tries to punch him but Kingsman jumps in front of him and blocks his punch but the force of it pushes Kingsman and Riku back and Hironaka makes it back to his feet and Kingsman turn around and *smiles at Riku* and says

“Riku, stay behind me” Matsuno rushes Kingsman but suddenly he's hit in the back with a lightning arrow electrocuting him and stopping him in place as a giant lightning bolt comes down in front of Kingsman and Riku pushing Hironaka and Matsuno away and Itsuki lands in front of Kingsman and Riku with his back to them and Kingsman says

“Good timing, Itsuki” But as Itsuki turns around Kingsman notices the giant slash on Itsuki stomach and the stab to his side and Kingsman is *shocked* and says

“Itsuki!” Itsuki says

“I’m fine Sensei, we need to focus on the fight” Kingsman says

“No, it's to dangerous for you to continue fighting" Itsuki says

"And It'd be far to dangerous for you to take me somewhere to get proper care, I'm ok Sensei. I can handle this" Kingsman looks at his wounds and he looks Riku and Dai, and says

"Are you sure your all right?” Itsuki says

“Yes Sensei, I'm fine” Kingsman *sighs* and says

“Ok...You and Dai handle Matsuno, me and Riku will finish off Hironaka. But be careful!” Matsuno turns to Hironaka and whispers

“Now’s your time to run” Hironaka whispers

“When I leave I don’t want you dead because of it” Matsuno whispers

“They can’t kill me, just go!” Matsuno reaches back and grabs Hironaka by his shirt and throws him backwards and Hironaka lands on his feet and looks at Matsuno and thinks

“Thank you, Matsuno” As Hironaka turns around and as he opens a portal and steps through it, Kingsman notices and says

"Where's he going? Cause if he's trying to sneak attack me using portals that will make this more fun, but it won't help" Matsuno rushes Kingsman and tries to punch him but Kingsman ducks his punch and punches Matsuno in the stomach and across the face dropping him to the floor and Kingsman picks him up by his throat and slams him into the ground and Kingsman punches him deeper into the ground and Kingsman says

“Looks like your partner is running away and not strategically using portals to attack me from different angels while your fighting me, listen if you give up right now I’ll let you tell me all the information you have on Kei and his army” Matsuno slowly gets to his feet and he tries to punch Kingsman but Itsuki blocks his punch and pushes his hand away as he punches him in the stomach dropping him to one knee and Kingsman says

“All right, since you don't wanna talk. I guess we'll have to do this my way” As Matsuno looks up at Kingsman and Itsuki there both *smiling* and Kingsman and Itsuki both start hitting him all over his body so quick he can’t react or counter anything until they both suddenly jump off in different directions as Riku flies towards him with his wind gauntlet and punches him in his stomach launching him backwards through the air but as he's flying back Kingsman appears behind him and uppercuts Matsuno into the air and Dai appears above him with his fire surging across his entire body and Dai says

"Bye!" All of Dai's fire combines on his hand creating a surging fire gauntlet and Dai punches towards Matsuno but suddenly Dai and Matsuno are both encased in a giant ball of water slowing down Dai's punch as his fist gets close too Matsuno a portal opens up behind him, dropping Matsuno drops through the portal onto the ground but as he looks up he sees Hironaka as Hironaka puts a water dome around them and Matsuno *coughs up blood and water* as he slowly get to his feet and says

“I told you to leave” Hironaka is *shocked* and says

“If I had left you would have died!” Matsuno tries to use his corrupt energy but he can only get it around his hand and Hironaka says

“That form isn’t going to do much if you get hit once and can’t move” Matsuno removes his corrupted energy off of his hand and Hironaka *chuckles* and says

“We've had a good run, but it looks like we’re not making it out of here” Matsuno says

“We still have a chance, if we get rid of Kingsman” Hironaka says

“How are we going to do that? He's able to beat both of us by himself and even if we could stand a chance he still has those children stopping our attacks and countering with attacks of there own” Matsuno says

“If I activate my sun I should have enough energy to teleport him away, giving us time to get rid of the rest and getting you out of here” Hironaka is *shocked* and says

“What!? No, you can barely move after teleporting, I’ll do it!” Matsuno says

“You have to teleport yourself an entire universe away, you won’t have enough energy to do both. Not without activating your sun and you doing that will kill you regardless, plus my body is at it's limit. If I don't use my sun, I'm going to collapse anyways. So I might as well do something useful with my death” Hironaka says

“Matsuno...You'd give up on everything you've ever wanted just to get me home?" Matsuno says

"You have people waiting for you and depending on you, my family probably doesn’t even know I’m still alive. You have more to live for than me, so live a good life and protect the one you love. Now let me out!” Hironaka *sheds a tear* and says

"I want to go back home, but I won’t leave you to suffer like this!” Matsuno says

"After all the suffering,pain,lies and trauma you've been through. Would you truly give up your only chance at freedom and happiness again, all for one person who isn't worth half of that? Go home and be with people that love you" Hironaka *cries* and he walks over and hugs Matsuno and Matsuno says

“We’re not done just yet, I'll give you one last show. And show you why I always led our team” As Hironaka lets go of Matsuno the dome disappears and Matsuno steps up and says

“Kingsman, face me!” Kingsman looks at him and *smiles* and says

“No" Matsuno is *shocked* and says

"What!?" Kingsman says

"As a matter of fact, I’m no longer in this fight” Matsuno says

“I refuse to fight children any longer” Suddenly the bubble of water in the air holding Dai explodes and Dai drops to the ground and looks at Hironaka and Matsuno and says

“Don’t you dare interrupt my fight!” Dai rushes Matsuno and they clash fist causing both of them to slide back but as Dai rushes back towards Matsuno and throws another punch Matsuno spins around Dai getting behind him and he slams both of his fist down on the back of Dai's neck dropping him to his knees and he punches Dai in the back sliding him forward and Itsuki rushes him but Hironaka appears in front of him and punches him in the stomach making him spit up blood and drops to his knees *holding his stomach in pain*, and Kingsman turns to Riku and says

“Riku, I need you to–” But Matsuno snaps and Kingsman looks at him *confused* and says

“The hell was that supposed to do? As a matter of fact now I am going to fight, Riku use your Sasumata. And go a bit lethal with it please” Riku grabs his Sasumata off of his back and covers the tips of his Sasumata in his wind and Kingsman is *shocked* and thinks

"Wow, he's not even hesitating anymore. I'm really growing on you" Kingsman and Riku both rushes Matsuno and Kingsman and Matsuno clash fist but Kingsman grabs his wrist and punches him in the stomach and pulls him towards him and hits him across the throat in a lariat causing Matsuno to slam into the ground holding his throat and Kingsman kicks Matsuno across the dirt towards Hironaka and Kingsman *smiles* and says

"Yo-" Suddenly something pierces Kingsman's stomach from behind and as he looks down he sees Riku's Sasumata sticking through his stomach and Kingsman is *shocked* but he looks at Riku and *smiles* as he says

“M-Maybe I should have been more specific” Kingsman drops to one knee as lightning surges all over the battlefield destroying the ground and Itsuki screams

"NO!" Itsuki gets to his feet and rushes Riku and as he reaches for Riku's neck his sword appears in his hand and he presses his sword to Riku’s neck with *tears in his eyes* as he screams

“HOW COULD YOU!? WE WERE BROTHERS!” But before Itsuki can do anything Kingsman grabs Itsuki’s shoulder and says

“No! It’s alright” Itsuki still with *tears in his eyes*, says

“No Sensei, look at what he did to you!” Itsuki tries to move his hand but Kingsman grabs his wrist and Kingsman *chuckles* and says

“I’m…Fine, this is what I get for letting my guard down in a battle” Kingsman pulls Riku’s Sasumata out of his back and puts it back in Riku’s hand and snatches the chain from around Riku’s neck and crushes the chain and Riku stumbles back and *holds his head in confusion* and says

“What’s going on?” Kingsman pushes Itsuki sword down as Riku looks up at them and sees Kingsman bleeding from his stomach and he's *shocked* and says

“Sensei!? What happened?” Itsuki grabs Riku by his shirt and says

“You stabbed Sensei in the back! I should kill you right here!” Kingsman stands up and says

“Enough! Your teammates...Brothers, no matter what don’t ever forget that” Kingsman takes Itsuki hands off of Riku and Kingsman whips Itsuki tears but Itsuki says

“Brothers don’t stab the people they love in the back!” Kingsman says

“It wasn’t him. His mind was being controlled, I should have sensed it sooner. But it was my fault, I let it go unnoticed” Riku is *shocked* and says

“Sensei…I–” But Kingsman puts his hand on Riku's head and says

“I know, but right now we have a battle to finish” But as Kingsman turns around Matsuno activates the power of his sun and he surges with so much power he pushes the entire planet back and everything starts shaking destroying the ground and cracking the skies and everyone is pushed back by it except Kingsman and Kingsman thinks

"So this is the full extent of this hidden power" Matsuno floats into the air as his body suddenly engulfs into flames hotter than the sun, melting the ground underneath all of them and Riku and Itsuki drop to their knees from the intense heat and the entire sky turns red and a hole is being burned into the planet right underneath Matsuno and Matsuno looks down at Kingsman and says

"Now face me!" Matsuno power surges off of him but as it does Kingsman opens up a portal underneath him redirecting all of his heat and force into space but as it redirects into space it destroys the two planets next to them and Kingsman thinks

"I guess it's time to get more serious" Matsuno lands onto the ground and absorbs the flames around him and he *smiles* and says

"Let's go!" Matsuno rushes Kingsman and Matsuno tries to punch Kingsman but he's able to dodge it and Kingsman punches him in the stomach and across the face but Matsuno just *smiles* and Matsuno says

"You can't hurt me!" Matsuno tries to punch Kingsman but Kingsman catches his wrist and they start pushing each other away destroying the ground around them but Matsuno knees Kingsman in stomach making him spit up blood and let go of Matsuno's wrist and as he does Matsuno punches him in the stomach again and grabs Kingsman by his neck and throws him to the side as Kingsman slams into the ground he spits up blood while holding his stomach on the ground and Itsuki looks up and sees Kingsman on the ground and says

“Sensei!” Itsuki gets *mad* and he gets to his feet and rushes Matsuno but Matsuno rushes him with such speed Itsuki can’t react and Matsuno kicks him in the stomach causing Itsuki to spit up blood and he grabs Itsuki by the face and slams him into the ground and Matsuno looks over and rushes Riku as Riku looks up he sees Matsuno standing over him but before he can move Matsuno stomps him into the ground and Kingsman slowly gets back to his feet and Kingsman looks around at everyone and says

“How dare you!” Kingsman rushes Matsuno and Matsuno *smiles* and says

"I'm out of your league now, your-" Kingsman punches him in the face sliding him back and Matsuno holds his face in *shock* and thinks

"I felt that...I actu-" Kingsman punches him in the stomach and across the face dropping him to one knee and Kingsman starts hitting him all over his body and Matsuno can't move and he watches as Kingsman punches him all over and he thinks

"I-I can't move...He's hitting me so fast, I thought I had outgrown him in strength! What is this power!?...No I can still win!" Matsuno lifts his head up and throws a punch but Kingsman disappears and reappears next to him and punches Matsuno across the face and Matsuno tries to turn and punch him but Kingsman disappears again and Kingsman slams his fist down on Matsuno's back slamming him into the ground and Kingsman stomps on his back pushing him into the ground and Kingsman pulls him out of the ground by his neck and Kingsman lifts him into the air and turns him around to face him and says

"You dare put your hand on my kids...For that I'll kill you!" As Kingsman lifts his other hand Matsuno can see Kingsman hand cover in his darkness and as he looks into Kingsman eyes start chaning colors but suddenly Kingsman drops Matsuno to the ground and he falls to the ground as well *holding his stomach in pain* and as Matsuno stands up he notices ice on Kingsman's stomach and Matsuno looks at Hironaka and *smiles* and Matsuno punches Kingsman in the stomach making Kingsman spit up blood and Matsuno headbutts Kingsman and he starts relentlessly striking Kingsman in the stomach until Kingsman eyes starts to close but Matsuno grabs Kingsman by his throat and lifts him in the air and Matsuno *laughs* and says

“How the mighty have fallen!” Matsuno throws him into the air and Matsuno appears above Kingsman and Matsuno's fist erupts into flames and Matsuno punches Kingsman in the stomach sending him slamming into the ground and he lands on the ground and Matsuno walks up to Kingsman and reaches for him but suddenly his hand burns away into ash and Matsuno is *shocked* and Hironaka says

“Matsuno don’t get consumed by your power, remember why you did this!” Matsuno looks at his hand and says

“Right!” Matsuno closes his eyes and puts his hand up and a portal starts opening up behind Kingsman and as it fully opens up Matsuno drops to one knee and as he's catching his breath, Itsuki slowly looks up and notices the portal behind Kingsman and Itsuki slowly gets to his feet and says

"Get away...From my father!" Itsuki stumbles towards Matsuno but Matsuno points his hand at Itsuki blasting him away with sheer force sending Itsuki flying back and slamming into the ground and Riku slowly looks up and notices the portal opened up behind Kingsman and *weakly* says

"Sensei...No!" Matsuno stands up and he grabs Kingsman by his neck and says

"I've finally beat you, and now I'm the strongest!" Itsuki looks up and screams

“SENSEI!” Matsuno throws Kingsman throw the portal and Matsuno watches as Kingsman eyes slowly open up and he looks back at him as the portal closes and Matsuno falls to his knees and *holds his head in pain* but as he’s holding his head his other hand turns to ash and he looks at his missing hands and thinks

“Damn, I guess I really am going to die…I’m sorry, Kaori” Matsuno slowly gets to his feet and he looks into the air at the sun and he breathes slowly and thinks

"Such a beautiful sunset, I'm glad I got to see one final one" Suddenly Dai punch’s Matsuno in the stomach with his fire gauntlets and dropping him to his knees and Dai grabs his neck and screams

"WHAT DID YOU DO!?" Dai uppercuts him launching him into the air and Dai fire surges all around him as it wraps around his back wings emerge from the flames and Itsuki is *shocked* as Dai flies up into the air and punches Matsuno in his stomach but his fist goes straight through Matsuno's stomach making Matsuno spit up blood and Matsuno looks at Dai and says

"Doing this...Won't save your friends or Kingsman" Dai looks into Matsuno's eyes and says

"But it'll kill you!" Dai keeps flying them extremely high in the air and as they get higher Dai flames start to cover Matsuno's body as well and Matsuno *screams in pain* and Itsuki thinks

Dai's speed...Is incredible" Dai says

"I don't know where you sent my father, but your going to pay! And if he's dead I swear to you, I'm going to destroy everything you've ever loved!" But Matsuno stops screaming and he *smiles* and says

“Kid...You are just like me when I was younger, I can understand your want to protect the people you love…But I cannot let you win this battle” Suddenly Dai flames are blown off of Matsuno as Matsuno's entire body starts surging with fire clashing with Dai's flames but as Matsuno's fire clashes with Dai's, Matsuno's body starts turning to ash and Dai tries pull his arm out of Matsuno's stomach but Matsuno flexes his stomach stopping Dai from pulling his arm out and Dai is *shocked* and Matsuno’s fire starts to burn Dai’s arm and Dai *screams in pain* but Matsuno fire starts to covers Dai's entire body and Dai starts frantically trying to pull his arm out of Matsuno’s stomach but it won’t budge but as he looks at Matsuno, Matsuno says

“I’m sorry” But Dai stops screaming and he punches Matsuno in the face and as his fist goes through Matsuno's face, the universe in Matsuno's chest cracks and explodes blowing Dai across the sky but as the explosion spread the flames attach to the sky and wraps around the entire sky heating up the entire planet causing the clouds to catch on fire and everything starts melting all across the world and Riku and Itsuki are being burned and *screams in pain* and Dai's able to stop himself from flying back and he covers himself with his wings to protect himself but Matsuno flames burn his wings causing them to open and as the flames also hit Dai's body and Dai *screams in pain* and thinks

"I have to stop this...Before the planet burns away" Dai puts his hand out and closes his eyes and as he's still being burned he calms his breathing and thinks

"Calm...Down, we have to save everyone. NO ONE ELSE CAN!" Dai starts absorbing Matsuno's flames all across the sky and he *screams in pain* as all of the flames flow into his body and as Dai absorbs majority of the flames, Itsuki realizes he's no longer being burned and he's able to looks into the air and he's *shocked* as he sees Dai absorbing the flames and he thinks

“Dai truly is…Amazing!” But as Dai finishes absorbing the flames he grabs his chest and he falls backwards out of the sky and Itsuki slowly gets to his feet and he slowly rushes towards the area where Dai is going to land but Dai crashes into the ground cratering the area around him with so much force it sends Itsuki flying back and slamming hard onto the ground and Itsuki *holds his stomach in pain* and he tries to stand up but he can't move and he thinks

"Get up...We have to help Dai!...GET UP!" Itsuki slowly is able to get back to his feet and he slowly walks over to the crater and as he looks down into the crater he sees Dai curled up into a ball and he slides down into the crater and walks up to Dai and Itsuki says

“Thanks Dai, you saved all of us” But Dai doesn’t respond or move and Itsuki is *shocked* and says

“Dai!…Dai!?” Itsuki drops to his knees and starts frantically shaking Dai but he still doesn’t respond and Itsuki starts *crying* and says

“No! Come on Dai get up! I know you, you won’t die like this! Not like this, please Dai get up….No!” Itsuki holds Dai in his arms as he’s *crying over his lifeless body* and he sits Dai on the ground and says

"Your going to be ok, I promise I'm going to get someone to save you" Itsuki slowly gets up and slowly rushes out of the crater and he puts his hand into the air but suddenly the crater explodes with fire that stretch into the sky and knocking him down and as Itsuki gets back to his feet, he looks into the crater and he sees Dai slowly standing up and Itsuki drops back into the crater tackling Dai with a hug but they both *winch in pain* and Itsuki says

“I thought you died!” Dai says

“It felt like I did for a second, but I would never die like that” Itsuki says

“Come on, we have to help Riku'' They both help each other stand up and starts slowly walking out of the crater and Dai says

"Where did that guy send Sensei?" Itsuki says

"I don't know, it looked like space. But Sensei been in space before so I know he's not dead, we just need to beat the last guy and wait for Sensei to get back" Dai says

"All right, I'll rush him and you keep distance with your bow. I'll push him into your arrows" Itsuki says

"Ok, but be careful cause we don't know how strong he is" But suddenly a portal opens up behind them and an injured and bloody Kenji drops through it and falls to the ground but he looks up at Itsuki and Dai and says

“You guys all right?” Itsuki is *shocked* and he picks Kenji up off of the floor and says

“What happened!?” Kenji says

“Uncle Kaito sent me back to help after we stopped Kei" Dai says

"No dumb ass, what happened to you?" Kenji *chuckles* and says

"I might have tried to rush Kei alone, he was a better fighter than I thought. I need to slow down and analyze my target first, but Dai was that you?” Dai is *confused* and says

"Was what me?" Kenji says

"The flames across the sky, everything around us started melting. I almost sank into the ground, you've really gotten extremely strong" Dai says

"No...It was Matsuno. He suddenly surged with fire and was able to keep up with me and Sensei" Kenji is *shocked* and says

"How could he have that much power and we couldn't sense it!?" Itsuki says

"Every time he got stronger that orb in his chest started shaking and started glowing" Dai says

"What ever that orb is it's gone now, that explosion is what wrapped the flames around the world. I think the flames wrapped into the air and that's why it spread so fast" Itsuki says

"That Hironaka guy has the same thing in his chest, we need to get back to Riku" Everyone turns around and starts walking but Kenji falls to one knee and Dai says

“What help are you going to be and you can barely walk” Itsuki bends down and puts Kenji's arm over his shoulder and stands back up and says

“We need all the help we can get right now since Sensei was teleported away by Matsuno, we need to hurry. Get his other arm”

At the same time Riku slowly makes it to his feet and he looks around and doesn't see anyone and he thinks

"Where is Itsuki and Dai!?" But he stops looking around as he sees a thick ball of ice sitting in the ground and as it splits open he sees Hironaka walk out of it and Riku says

"So that's how you protected yourself from the heat, your smarter than you look. But answer me this, where did Matsuno send my father?" Hironaka says

"Truth be told, when it comes to Matsuno's mind I couldn't tell you. But I know he won't be back for a while" Hironaka stomps on the ground and water shoots out of the ground and comes togther sealing them in a giant water dome and says

“I’m sorry, I wish it didn’t have to be this way. But I cannot let any of you live or leave this battlefield, and truthfully you'd all be to much of a nuisance together. So unfortunately, you'll have to die alone” Riku puts his hand out and uses his wind to pull his Sasumata to his hand and he thinks

“I’m sorry Sensei, but I will make you proud! Even if I have to abandon my morals…I’ll show him what I can do!” Riku wraps his wind around his Sasumata and Hironaka creates an ice blade as Riku and Hironaka lock eyes with each other, Hironaka says

"I know you, without your element and a range advantage you cannot win this. Your lack of fighting skills will be your down fall" Riku says

"You talk too much" Riku rushes toward Hironaka
