"Who the hell are you" yelled Andrew bouncing around, the rope burning his writs and ankles as he does so.
"Quiet your purpose isn't to talk!" Said the one named Jeb. Who then swiftly kicked Andrew in the gut for good measure.
"Ughh" Andrew coughed not ready for the blow and unable to guard himself.
The two pick him up talking one arm each dragging him out of the run down shed they were keeping him.
He kicks and squirms which only gets him another kick to the side.
"Ey stensley we got ourselves a live one!" Jeb said pulling on Andrews arm suddenly.
" yes I'm sure this will please the master." Stensley snarled with glee.
As he is being dragged Andrew is looking around looking for a way out, or where he even is. What he can see looks to small homes. However they seemed to really dated. He didn't notice any power lines, cars, or even roads. There was walkways sure but mostly exposed dirt grass not growing due to foot traffic.
The houses were made crudely with bricks and cobblestone. Wood wrapped in twine for the roof. Torches all over the place, and a foul smell in the air. It almost burned to breathe.
He looked ahead to where he was being taken, it was bit out of town. A poorly built platform with three posts on it. They dragged him up the stairs not caring that scraped along each one.
The two men bound him to the post struggling to do so with him squirming and biting jeb on the hand.
"Ahh you impudent shit!!" Jeb said punching Andrew in the jaw.
" pfft, is that it? Your forms all off. When I get out here you will be sorry." Andrew said spitting out a little blood on Jebs cloak.
" how dare you sully my ceremonial robes!" Jeb said winding his back for another.
Stensley jumping in front of him trying to calm him down.
" Jeb stop if we don't have all three sacrifices for the masters creature the village is doomed." Stensley said putting his hands on jebs shoulders with his hands shaking.
"Your right I'm sorry I lost my composure. We must hurry inside it's almost time."
The two then run off the platform and enter a house about seventy feet away.
Andrew starts to plan his espcape, but he here's a faint cough. He looks to his right and there's another man on that post.
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
He is very muscular with brown spiky hair with a strand or two hanging over his eye. He wears no shirt but a fur pelt around his waist and some sort of deer hide made into pants. Two piercings in the ear he could see with a scar across his neck.
"There's no way that dainty cough came from him" Andrew thought. So he looked left and almost pulled his arm out of socket with the I tail jump he tried to make. It was his sister, she was wearing her pink striped pajamas, she was about seventeen years old. long black silky hair and dark brown eyes. She was unconscious it seemed.
"Ikari! Ikari, wake up it's me Andrew!"
His hands were tied behind his back and around the post. The post was about 15 feet tall so he couldn't pull his hands over. However with all his years doing martial arts he has broken his hands, fingers, and arms more times then he could count.
He grabs the one thumb, a loud quick snap is heard, Andrew takes a deep breathe not trying to make anymore noise. He gets his one hand free. He starts to try and pop it back in pressing against the post, he is stopped when he hears a large branch or fallen tree snap. Not to far in front them the platform facing the woods.
He starts to panic, he almost has his hands free. Suddenly it sounds like it's on the right. A loud slam is heard one of the villagers closing there windows wooden panels.
The noise seems to excite what ever it is, because now it sounds to sprinting right for the platform. Andrew heat his hands free and sprints over to Ikari, he quickly checks her pulse. It's weak but there.
"Thank god your okay." He sais with relief but realizing there's no time for this.
He unties her as quickly as he can, he throws her over his shoulder and jumps down off the platform crawling underneath hiding below the structure. Attempting steady his breathe he no longer here the tugs and branches snapping. It's dead quiet.
Andrews rapid breathes betraying him with every exhale. It's a bit cold out his breathe visible. He holds onto Ikari for dear life. The boards on the stairs screaming as heavy foot steps put pressure on them. Andrew shocked let's out a gasp trying to trap it with his hand. Unfortunately it had already flown over for all to hear. The steps stop and eerie silence fills the field. The foot steps hit the ground.
Andrew watching with crippling anticipation, and anxiety, his heart beat rapidly climbing. The sweat building only making him colder.
He sees four furry wide legs patrol the perimeter of the structure. He sees a head pike down only seeing a portion of it. It's sniffing the ground, however the snout is more beak like that of a bird.
As it moves Andrew starts to crawl the best he can pulling Ikari with him.
Suddenly the creature stops and stays in place for some time.
Andrew not daring to breathe, feeling ready pass out. He is completely overwhelmed, not know how to make sense of any of this.
The legs start to walk away, Andrew instantly feeling a bit relieved. Let's his guard down for a second trying to collect himself.
Without warning a side of the platform is knocked off as the beast comes charging through it breaking the support beam. It's charging straight for the other two. Andrew quickly looks around. He sees a rotted piece of wood holding up the floor above. He throws Ikari as far as he could behind, and kicks the wood as hard as he can.
Over half of the platform is collapsed. Andrew his leg getting scrapped by a broken board is bleeding but still usable. He crawls quickly over to Ikari scanning her quickly before running. He makes it to the tree line and looks back and sees the man still bound to the post.
The two make eye contact, the other man gave Andrew a nod and looked back down. Almost as if he said I understand.
Andrew set Ikari against a tree, and sprinted back. The rubble was moving around and windows were opening in the village after all the noise.
Andrew hood onto some of the rubble, and climbing up onto the platform. He approaches the man, and starts to untie him.
"What are you doing idiot get out of here both of you will be killed!" The man said trying to shake off Andrews help.
" cant do it, not my style." Said Andrew untying the last knot.
The man stood up and rubbed his wrists no doubt feel better having his hands free. "Well even though we're still gonna die thank you, at least this way I'll die on my feet like a man."
The two shake hands and look to the moving rubble.
It erupts outwards sending debris flying, a mix of a roar and screech is belted by the creature. It is staring daggers at both of them.
It looks to be a bear but has the head of a large bird. It's covered in what looks to be fur but has feathers around its neck, head and shoulders. The ones on the shoulder look like blades.
The two men look at each other and nod. Standing there ground ready for the beast.
The creature starts to charge, but stops when suddenly there arrows engulfed in blue flame pierce the ground in front of it.
Andrew looks where it came from. In the distance a tree line has about ten faint blue lights in them.
