There is a man walking down the street .He was a tall but slender man, black hair, and brown eyes. He had pale skin like that of milk.
His size usually kept him out of trouble, however occasionally that defense would fail. His solution was to take martial arts classes.
he was just getting off work. The job was not everything he hoped it would be. Fast food never is.
He had to drop everything when one day when his mother and father died in a horrible car crash. He had dreamed of opening a dojo and teaching martial arts. However if he didn't stop school, and take his sister ikari, she would go to a home.
It was like any other night in this small town where he lived. It was Friday and everyone was going downtown, the bars were filling and people were drinking.
Andrew couldn't stand it he just wanted to get home but the busses were full of people "pregaming" as it were.
"I would rather walk then deal with that. Besides Ikari is probably waiting up for me." Andrew thought to him self waving the bus driver by.
He put his hands in his pocket and started to walk home. It was brisk out that night. The wind while not a very strong, it was one that wrapped it self in your bones and whispered to them "your so very cold."
He saw an alley up ahead his house being just a few blocks west he thought " oh shortcut!"
He starts to walk down the alley, firstly peeking in of course this is downtown. As he progressed the wind suddenly dropped like an anvil off a cliff. It was silent. You could hear the background noise sure, but it was almost muffled as if the very sound waves barley made it through the threshold.
To the left there's scurrying behind the dumpster.
Andrew gulps loudly and peeks behind ready to book it at any moment. He quickly turns the corner of the dumpster and looks what it is.

Standing on a box scratching at the dumpster is a small kitten.
"Oh thank god it's just you." Andrew thought as he wiped off the sweat on his forehead. He goes to turn around, and two Beaty yellow eye balls almost touching his. He jolts and let's out a shriek as he jumps about ten feet back.
He tries to get a better look, he can't believe his eyes. It kind of looks like a man but his skin is almost like bark off a tree, he has a twig pertruding his nose. He has long hair which looks like tall grass matted down. However what really gets to him are the eyes, those Beaty yellow eyes, they almost burn like he has seen them before.
"There's no time for this!"Andrew thinks as he turns and starts to sprint away.
The creature let's out a low barreling roar, the ground starts to shake beneath Andrews feet causing him to fall.
He cuts his hand open on a bottle.
The creature starts to approach Andrew who is paralyzed with fear.
Andrew stammers as he tries to crawl away, suddenly something is wrapped around his ankles, and squeezing really hard while pulling.
Andrew looks back and where an arm should be on the creature a almost never ending sea of vines are flooding out wrapping around andrews legs until they are gone from sight buried below the vines.
The creature shrieks once again pulling andrew closer about ten feet away at this point.
Andrew is desperately trying to get away screaming for help, but no one is coming it seems. His nails breaking along the concrete as he is being dragged.
Panic and fear are in full swing andrews mind racing, he is hyper venulating, his fingers bleeding, and his legs well he can't feel them from the immense pressure.
He is about five feet away from the beast, the creature reaches for him with the other non vine hand. Just before the bark covered finger tip touches Andrew, a purple light is seen from below the vines, seeping through the cracks. Suddenly the light becomes more intense, and more intense, before long the vines start to become indulged in a purple flame, the creature hisses so loud Andrews ears bleed as he cups them.
The creature jumps about 20 feet back before launch his vine arms at Andrew again, however where that purple light came from is under andrew now and he starts to sink.
The vines come hurling towards andrew but as soon as they enter the radius of the light they combust. The creature screams again frustrated at the situation.
Andrew is trying to get up and out of this light but it won't work. He can't move at all.
"Thankfully it's not burning me but it feels like it's taking all my energy to just sit up." Andrew said trying to still move the slightest bit.
Before he knows it Andrew is completely gone into the light. He opens his eyes, after the light dissipates all he can see is white all around him as if he was nowhere, in nothing, past existence. After attempting to absorb this in he realized he wasn't standing he was falling.
He starts flailing around screaming, this continues for about ten minutes. His lungs give out and he passes out from a lack of oxygen.
He starts to come to not knowing how much time had passed, he felt groggy and his head hurt. His eyes started to open he went to move his hair out of his face, but couldn't. His arms were bound, his legs too.
"What the hell is going on around here." He thought to himself. He struggles trying to get out of these bindings, when he hears voices approaching. He starts to to look around.
"Where am I?? It looks like a beat up shed. It stinks in here." Andrew said still trying to get free.
The door opens, and the sun beams in blinding Andrew for a brief second. When his eyes adjust he sees two men in black cloaks with red banding around the hood, and an embroidered skull on the chest.
"Well this can't be good." Thought Andrew squinting annoyed. He just wanted to go home.
"I see the sacrifice is awake Jeb" said the first cloaked man.
