“Okey.” Jenifery agreed. “So first you need to understand how the system works. From level one to level fifty, you have ten abilities. Its twenty until hundred, and thirty until hundred and fifty. Above hundred and fifty the rules change. we don’t know how because they keep it a secret. But it’s not important for now. Every time you advance a level, you lose all your abilities and you need to absorb new ones. Now comes the tricky part. When you lose your abilities, you actually absorb them with the new level, and it’s boosting your new abilities. The problems start when your new abilities are different from the old ones, and you get a cocktail of side effects from two sets of abilities. So you need to be careful about choosing a set that will suit you in the futter. Do you have any questions so far?"

“Good. The second thing you need to understand, is about how to choose a set of abilities. When Bloom asked you, you listed random things that you want, this is a common mistake, you think about what you need and put it in one slot. What you need to do, is think what you want to become, and aim in that direction. For example, you don’t want body armor and helmet, you want to be protected. You don’t want camouflage; you want to be invisible. Do you understand what I’m trying to tell you?”

“Exactly. And while you may think of protection as one or two abilities, it can be three or even four abilities. So when you planning your abilities you need to priorities your choices because you’ll probably won’t get all the things you wanted.”

“And Tolverstov?”

“Tolverstov is from the Droy family, they control Floos. Its one of the five larger cities in the continent. He joined the FAO because he wanted the chance to discover new magic stuff. He’s the leader of our little expedition. And I know your next question, Tolverstov is level eighty-eight.”

“And Cleopatra”?

“Cleopatra is a magic saboteur from the continental military, she’s level thirty-seven, and she’s very annoying especially when she’s with Tolverstov.”

“Okey. What I wanted to know is what are your abilities?”

“My abilities are thick skin, nails of the gold tiger, leap to the ground, iron punch, cannon kick, dragon scales, recoil fist, don’t break the core, rearrange the broken, and emergency reload.”

“Wow. You’re a tank.”

tiki entered the room. “Jen, we have a problem.”

Jenifery jumped to his feet. “What is it”?

“Bandits were seen riding toward the city from the north, Velony is already on her way, the market is there, they’re evacuating the civilians and getting ready to intercept the bandits.”

Jenifry smiled. “They need to be stupid to fight us once we tell them who we are, but bandits never choose the right thing. I guess we’re going to blow up some bandits today.”

Tiki looked at Nathaniel. “Should we take him”?

“Why not? He’s a rang fighter. Come with us Nathaniel, if those bandits choose to die, you’ll have a chance to practice your ability.”

“And we’ll have the chance to see you blasting bandits with this monster of a weapon.” Tiki added.

They were already on their way out tiki took a large bag, and David looked like he’s covered with notes.

“Its special clothes.” David told Nathaniel. “I can blow myself out without destroying them.”

When they were on their way to the market Jenifery told Nathaniel. “Conjure your weapon when we’re waiting for the fight to start, stay behind and soot every bandit you see.”

“Are you sure?” Nathaniel asked nervously. “Why don’t we try to make them surrender?”

Jenifery looked at him. “Nathaniel.” He said in a cold voice. “Their bandits. We’ll give them a chance to retreat, but if they’ll choose to fight, we can’t hold back, they’ll slaughter every one they can in the city.”

“I understand.” Anthaniel said quietly.

Jenifery nodded.

The market was only five minutes from the training facility, soon they approached the group of uniformed man that were standing in front of the market facing the direction from which the bandits were approaching.

A young man approach Nathaniel. “Thank you very much for helping us sir” he was shaking. “Lady Velony left two minutes ago to try and talk to the bandits.”

He barely finished the sentence and Velony was standing with them.

“Hay Jen.” She said lightly. “Seems that we have brave bandits in front of us.”

“Very well.” Jenifery said. “Nathaniel. Stand in front of the local guards and shoot every bandit you see, don’t mined us.” He turned to the shaky man. “Tell your people to stand behind my friend here, if he fails, you’ll fight, if not you’ll stay back. Understood?”

“Yes sir.” the man said and ran to his people.

“Nathaniel.” Jenifery said. “If you die, get as far away from here as you can.”

“I will.” Nathaniel assured him.

After a minute, Bloom arrived. “What’s the status?” she asked Velony.

“About a hundred horse riding bandits with swords bows and spears.”

“Very well.” Bloom said. “Let’s intercept them. Nathaniel…”

“I already told him to stay here and run if he dies.”

“Good. Let’s go.” Tiki showed up with her sport clothes, and conjured a sword.

Bloom put a blue butterfly in her hair, and they ran to battle.

Nathaniel looked around. The local guards stayed behind him, and in front of him, in the distance, a cloud of dust rose up.

He conjured his rifle and a magazine, and stood there.

“You should activate action mode”

Everything around him became clear. He could see at the bottom of the dust cloud little red people, he raised his rifle and to his surprise, a whit cross moved on the ground and to the dust cloud, he moved the rifle and the cross moved with it. When the cross was on the red figures it became red.
