Chapter 9

In Yuta's classroom, while Ibiki continued to teach, a group of ninjas were using earth-type ninjutsu to move the houses behind the school a little further away and build arenas in the space that had opened up.

After building a total of nine different arenas and seating areas for spectators at the four corners of the arenas, the venue turned into a kind of martial arts stadium.

Jonin, who was in charge of organizing the competition space, looked down on the arena from the roof of the school and felt that something was missing.

As time passed, the ninjas grew more and more impatient, waiting for this man's words to make their hard work pay off. The lower-level ninja were ready for anything, as long as Jonin didn't ask them to rebuild the whole arena, and they weren't as impatient as the other ninja.

Fortunately, the man who finally opened their eyes gave them an extra task that was not too onerous.

Hearing the new orders, the ninja felt briefly dissatisfied then turned their heads and looked at the arenas they had built. Indeed, it would have looked nice if they had painted a large hidden leaf village symbol in the center of each arena.

Jonin saw that the number of men was nine, including himself, and he jumped into the center arena, picked up a kunai, and began to draw the symbol on the ground.

Meanwhile, Sarutobi Hiruzen and three gangs of thieves came into the arena.

Sarutobi looked at what they were all doing for a while and then saw that they were working on a small but nice detail. "Reward everyone with an extra thousand ryo at the end of the mission." The anbu waiting next to Sarutobi instantly disappeared after receiving the order and went to the mission distribution center to deliver it.

The construction of the arena was completely finished and Sarutobi Hiruzen sat down in the place built for him and looked up at the sun. The student's family members would be here soon. He thought as he saw some family members wandering around the arena area.

One family, who had arrived very early for the competition, saw the Hokage sitting alone in a corner and immediately went to him and started to tell him something about their son's future as a good ninja. After talking to them for a while Sarutobi saw the other parents coming and dismissed them called for an anbu and told them that the family who had just interrupted him wanted their child to face Yuta in the first match.

The anbu ninja made a silent apology to the family that had just arrived and then set about rigging the draws.

As the clock ticked, Morino Ibiki exited the classroom, instructing the entire class to follow him in double file. The students quickly followed orders and lined up behind Ibiki in the hallway.

Yuta turned his head to look at the boy of the Nara clan who was seated in the same line as him, at the end of the line. Feeling his gaze falling on him, the boy turned his head to see Yuta making the throat-slitting sign.

Yuta thought he was in a good mood today as he looked at the boy, yellow with fear. Probably because from today onwards, he would no longer have to hide his abilities completely. After all, anyone would be happy to be relieved of the burden of living in a village full of ninjas and hiding their abilities.

For the same reason, Yuta realized that he was extra excited today, but the excitement only lasted until he followed Ibiki to the back door of the school.

When the bright sun slapped Yuta's face mercilessly, he lost all his excitement and decided to finish the tournament as soon as possible.

Thanks to the ninja who came up to Ibiki and quickly disappeared, he learned the location of the competition and turned back to share this information with his students, but just then a person at the back of the line caught his attention. Or rather, it was not a person but the bags under Yuta's eyes that caught the teacher's attention.

"Yuta! What happened to you again? Don't you sleep at night?"

With the teacher's words, the whole class turned their attention to Yuta. Even the boy who had just been frightened by Yuta now wondered if I had just been frightened by this boy. As soon as Yuta was exposed to the sun, his entire aura seemed to dissipate. The children, who normally involuntarily feared Yuta, began to wonder why they were afraid of this pathetic boy until now.

"I'm fine, just a little sleepy, yawnn... that's all."

"Stupid brat. Did you stay up all night even the day before the competition?"

In answer to his question, Ibiki saw that Yuta was about to lose his balance due to lack of sleep and angrily told the boy from the Nara clan to carry Yuta.

The boy sighed lazily at first and moved to put his shoulder against Yuta. When his shoulder made contact with Yuta, Yuta immediately recovered and grabbed the hat the boy was wearing and pushed him away a little.

"I'm not that bad off. Just lend me your hat."

Nara Ensui wanted to take back from Yuta the hat his father had given him for his birthday, but he was honestly worried that he would cause himself much greater trouble by speaking of it.

When Yuta managed to get some protection from the sun's rays thanks to the hat, his insomnia subsided to a level that did not cause him to suddenly faint.

Meanwhile, accompanied by Ibiki, all the children were led towards the arena area. As Yuta looked at the thousands of eager spectators lined up around the arenas, he thought that there shouldn't be so many parents of school children. At the same time, Ibiki, like he had heard what he was thinking, explained to the whole class the reason for the crowd.

"Hokage-sama wants today's competition to be a big event to raise the morale of the village, rather than just a competition within the school.

Do you kids realize how important morale is in wartime?!!

A ninja without morale is easily depressed, and a depressed ninja is easily distracted. And a distracted ninja on the battlefield is doomed to die!

You children, you are not here today to participate in a competition, you are here today to decide the fate of Konoha! Fight with all your might and tell the adults and civilians that their future is in good hands! Fight with all your might and show the ninja who you are and keep the fire burning in their hearts!!!"

At Morino Ibiki's words of encouragement, almost all the ninjas stopped talking amongst themselves and turned their heads in his direction. The civilians did not have as clear hearing as the ninjas, but the civilians near the entrance to the arena witnessed the weight of the speech.

More importantly, they were not the only ones who heard the speech and were affected by it; the Hokage and his three sidekicks also heard it. As the Hokage grinned slightly under his hat, Yuta also looked at the excitement of the children around him before grinning slightly under his hat.

The children were all on the edge of their seats with excitement after the speech was over, while the overly emotional ones like Obito were already crying. Even the boy from the Nara clan had secretly clenched his fists and decided to do his best with hard eyes.

Yuta smiled slightly as he looked at these children and decided to make today's battle a real spectacle. So what if the sun was shining? Wasn't all he had to do in the end to cover the sun?

As time passed, all the classes took their seats outside the battlefields and waited. Meanwhile, a blonde beauty appeared at the entrance to the stadium. With steady steps, the beauty made her way in the direction of where the Hokage and the village leaders were seated and quickly placed a chair near the Hokage for Tsunade to sit.

Tsunade was still halfway there when someone in the crowd opened his mouth to say something, not bothering to hide his voice. "Aree, the Princess of Konoha is still alive? I thought she had died after not visiting the hospital and the battlefield for so long."

As if those words had started a forest fire, the other villagers began to gossip. Tsunade's hearing was so well-developed that she could easily hear the low-voiced criticism coming from everywhere, and naturally, she heard all the low-voiced insults.

Even Sarutobi Hiruzen lost the smile that had just appeared with Ibiki's speech when he heard the fire of gossip starting. He had not called thousands of villagers here for them to gossip.

This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

Meanwhile, Tsunade took a deep breath, and then, as if she hadn't heard anything, she calmly sat down on the seat prepared for her and began to search with her eyes for the brats in her charge.

"Hey Yuta, don't do anything crazy." Morino Ibiki immediately felt the need to warn his student, who was locked in his intentions to kill the person who had started the gossip. Fortunately, Yuta was already aware that ninja killing civilians would never be allowed in this village, and after taking one last look at the man to remember his face, he bowed his head.

After thinking for a while, Yuta realized that the man had no memorable features. Then, remembering his twice-in-a-lifetime ability, he raised his hand and used the system to take a picture of the man.

Yuta hesitated for only a few seconds after looking at his prize in surprise and then, manipulating the shadows, he reached into the darkness right next to him from his seat and pulled out a camera.

The level of technological advancement in the Naruto world was already quite strange, probably in the Iron Country or some other country the camera had already been invented and probably the technology was as old as it was in the system.

Most people didn't see Yuta pulling a strange device out of the darkness, but a few people who were paying attention saw it.

Tsunade was looking at Yuta at that moment, wondering what Yuta thought of her because of the rumors that people around her were making, and she got a clear view of what Yuta was doing. At the same time, the Hokage had been looking at Yuta for some time, wondering what Yuta was going to do about the rumors.

Sarutobi Hiruzen was a little happy to see Yuta looking at the man who had started the rumors with the intent to kill, but he thought it might be an act. Then he could hardly hide the smile on his face when he saw Yuta pull out a strange weapon and point it at the same man, using the ability he thought Yuta would hide from everyone.

When you send a child to spy on a woman like Tsunade, the child will inevitably develop feelings for Tsunade. As Sarutobi observed how Yuta's weapon would work, he wondered what fool had devised this espionage plan.

Another person who saw Yuta's behavior was his teacher, and when he saw Yuta pull out an unknown weapon, he immediately wanted to stop him from doing something stupid, but he couldn't react fast enough. He was only halfway through when the spectacular burst of light took place.

Ibiki sighed with relief as a small piece of paper came out from under the crude camera. Fortunately what Yuta was holding was not a killing weapon, he thought, and made a mental note not to talk so much about Tsunade in front of this boy.

Since Ensui Nara had seen Yuta using a technique similar to his clan's jutsu, he had tried to make himself forget about it for a long time. Being curious would probably give him nothing but a headache. He knew that, but he couldn't overcome his curiosity.

Unfortunately, he didn't succeed and finally, he slowly approached Yuta as he waved the paper from the device in his hand. Now he had to ask a question, but about what?

Uh, Yuta can you manipulate shadows too? That would be a ridiculous question because he had already seen him manipulating shadows and that's why he was here now.

Yuta can you use our clan's techniques? No that was an even more ridiculous question, probably any shinobi with enough training could use these techniques. Shadow manipulation techniques were not passed down through the bloodline like some kind of sharingan, it was more of a skill that was passed down through hard training within the family. So even though a person could manipulate shadows, a member of the Nara clan would have to share the techniques with him for him to know the techniques in his clan. Most importantly, the Nara clan's techniques were a complex art that overtaxed the mind, and it would take ordinary people years to reach even a beginner's level.

"I'll give your hat back after the fights. The sun is very annoying."

When Ensui remained silent after approaching Yuta, he finally had to try to guess what Ensui wanted to do.

Ensui secretly really wanted his hat, but like every Nara clansman, he had the low emotional ability that came with a high IQ, and a hat was only worth a certain level in his eyes. "I just wanted to ask about the technique you just used. My father also uses the shadow storage technique and he said that items stored in the shadow weigh more than normal."

"Mine's not a ninjutsu, it's a kekkei genkai. I've been able to use it since I started extracting chakra."

Nara mumbled in surprise that the Senju clan didn't have such a kekkei genkai and then shut his mouth as if he understood something. Yuta couldn't help but smile as he looked at his movements, guessing what he was thinking.

Ensui probably thought that he was adopted and not really from the Senju clan, but Tsunade didn't tell him about it and he would grow up thinking he was a real Senju. As Ensui sat nervously, as if he had just learned a secret he wasn't supposed to know, watching the draw of the fighters, Yuta smiled, looked at his nervously clenched legs, and turned the camera on him.

"Heh, it works."

Ensui grimaced at the flash of the camera, then asked Yuta what it was and Yuta handed him the film from the camera.

"A black paper?"

"Keep it, you can discover what it is later."

As the results of the draw were announced, Yuta put down the camera in his hand. As the camera was about to hit the ground, a dark void formed on the ground, and the camera was sucked into Yuta's shadow.

Nara Ensui will skip this round

As the last person to be drawn, Ensui went straight through to the next round, presumably because the total number of students was odd, leaving one person with no match. Ensui heaved a sigh of relief when he heard the result.

There were nine arenas in total and each time all the arenas were filled and the battles started. During the fourth round, it was finally Yuta's turn and Yuta made his way to the arena.

When Yuta saw that his opponent was an unknown first-year student, he realized that he didn't need to do anything extra this round.

Yuta and the student with part of his long hair tied up stepped into the arena and waited for the starting whistle. Before the battle began, Yuta's opponent smiled at him, wished him good luck, and asked him not to hurt himself too much while scratching the back of his head. This gave Yuta a good impression of him. Until he heard a man and a woman in the audience shouting.

"Don't show him mercy! He's just a first-year!"

At first, Yuta didn't care as he stared at the couple in ninja costumes, who he guessed were the parents of the boy in front of him, but their words grew more cruel by the second.

Yuta finally lost his patience when he heard the woman yelling at her son to destroy his manhood and the starting whistle blew simultaneously.

Yuta stretched out two fingers and waved his hand from right to left, and without looking back, he made his way out of the arena. When Yuta reached the steps of the arena, the referee appeared right in front of him.

"You know the prize for this competition, right? Are you sure you want to give up?"

Yuta spread his hands and sighed, then answered the referee. "Give up? Take another look."

Meanwhile, everyone on the Hokage side was watching Yuta and at first, they were confused by what he was doing. Sarutobi believed that he was a spy with a special plan to gain trust in the village, so he used all of his brains to try to figure out what he was planning.

He had just revealed his abilities, so it was too late to hide them, it was time for him to reveal them and do some heroic acts and then hope for everything to go well. So what was this boy doing now?

"Ebisu, did you see what he did?" the old woman asked the man sitting beside her, her voice full of curiosity.

"He must have used some kind of wind ninjutsu." The old man answered his ex-wife's question with his ideas.
