Chapter 7

As Yuta looked at the dark stairs opening up in front of him, he realized that he would have to descend nearly a hundred steps again, and he stared at the shadows emerging from beneath his feet.

A small shadow continued to move at high speed up the dark stairs for a while, then stopped in its tracks and quickly turned back down a few tens of stairs.

When Yuta was in the shadows, the countdown was over, but again, like the first time, his opponent's information did not appear. Yuta wondered for a moment if this was some kind of system error or if he had once again encountered an opponent whose only ability was to pretend to be human, but then he turned around and noticed a system screen left on the stairs.

"Come on. Was it like this the first time too? Really..."

[ Draw result: Mutant goat curse ]

[ A curse born of the human fear of mutant goats. It has low speed, but it can bite people. Probably... In the system's opinion, it could be a very useful ox for plowing fields. ]

[ Weaknesses: Cursed energy ]

As soon as Yuta felt the cursed energy again, he was filled with fear, and knowing that he had an opponent who would give up, he went to the end of the stairs and fell into the center of the arena.

After searching for a while for his opponent's whereabouts, Yuta heard the sound of hoofbeats approaching from behind him but decided to pretend he didn't hear them. The speed at which the hoofbeats approached was so slow that for a moment he thought he would fall asleep.

Meanwhile, a strange smile appeared on the face of the purple-faced pink goat that approached him from behind Yuta. It wasn't a smart enough curse to talk, but at least it could think.

Every second the goat came closer to hitting Yuta, it squinted its two overlapping eyes and grinned as if it could smell freedom. He was going to blow this stupid brat up with one blow, and whoever was transmitting the information in his head would set him free.

As the goat was about to hit Yuta, he was so convinced that he was going to eat all the people in the world where these sorcerers didn't exist that he made a strange sound out of his mouth, which caused Yuta to jump and pass underneath the goat as it was about to hit Yuta.

The goat cursed himself, thinking that the boy had heard him because he had laughed in error, but he thought that everything was just beginning, in the meantime a searing pain began to radiate from his back.

Yuta, oblivious to the goat's thoughts, jumped into the air to dodge him and then used his slash ability to slash him across the back.

Yuta felt that his slash ability would be enough to kill this goat, but when the slash hit the goat's back, he discovered that the goat's defenses were not low at all.

After running some distance away from Yuta, the goat finally managed to maneuver and turned back towards Yuta.

At first, Yuta looked at the gaping wound on the goat's back, but the next moment his attention was caught by the goat's tongue sticking out of his mouth, spitting saliva all over the place, and the strange smile on the goat's face.

Yuta, not wanting to see any more of the goat's disgusting expression, started to run and before the goat could react, he was beside it and put his hand into its pink fur. Three slashes followed, all in the same spot, splitting the goat in two and spilling its entrails out.

Yuta, fortunately, didn't have to face the stench that hit his nose for too long and was thrown out of the arena.

Yuta checked the shadows to bring out the strange goat he was fighting and was confronted by a big goat about a meter and a half long.

As soon as the goat saw Yuta, it jumped up and started jumping around him and showing him affection.

"Oi oi oi have some personality, you were trying to kill me until just now"

Yuta locked his hands together and left his left ring finger open to take the mutant goat that was trying to lick his face into the ten shadow techniques. From now on, the mutant goat would be monster number three in the Shadow technique as his living shield.

________________ (W.N. The pink stingray and the mutant goat are normally summoned monsters belonging to Suguru Geto)

After thinking for a while, Yuta decided that these three monsters would be enough to show that he had a special bloodline for summoning monsters tomorrow and lifted the curtain.

After Yuta lifted the curtain, he looked out into the darkness of the forest, mumbled something about how good he felt, and started running home. As if he were a child with too much energy, he jumped straight down when the Hokage was level with their heads. His instincts told him that because he had a small body, the maximum fall speed he could reach would not kill him when he hit the ground.

Yuta had no idea what the Anbu ninja was thinking as he jumped from the top of the mountain and fell with his arms outstretched, looking up at the sky.

After doing his file work late into the night, Sarutobi had the Hokage instinct to spend a few minutes monitoring the security of the village using the telescope technique. It was quite rare for Sarutobi to use his telescope technique to do something so useful, and Yuta was so unlucky that even though he had set out at night to avoid being seen, the scene of him emerging from the shadows in the middle of the forest was seen by the Hokage.

The moment Sarutobi Hiruzen saw Yuta, he immediately knew who he was. This was the boy that Hatake Sakumo had brought back from the battlefield to improve Tsunade's mood. Or so Sakumo had told him. Hiruzen was glad to see that Tsunade had recovered and had recently started eating healthier and going to the gambling hall again.

_____________

Sarutabi Hiruzen had questioned his homeroom teacher, Morino Ibiki, many times before to make sure of everything. What he learned made him think that Yuta had no talent as a ninja because how could a lazy, lazy, lazy, lazy, and lazy person become a ninja?

But tonight, when he saw this lazy man appear in the middle of the forest using an unknown movement technique, the Hokage suspected that this boy might be a spy. He immediately summoned the two anbu ninjas who were standing guard outside his room and ordered them to go to Yuta's location and capture him if he tried to escape out of the village.

Both of the Anbu ninjas were elite Jonin ninjas and capturing a child was child's play for them.

The reason Hiruzen didn't tell the Anbu ninja to capture the boy right away was that even if Yuta really was a spy, as long as he got Tsunade back on the battlefield, it was worth planting a spy in Konaha with his own hands.

Although Hiruzen hadn't mentioned it before, Tsunade was the student he most wanted to become Hokage after him. Of course, what Hiruzen didn't tell anyone was that he was so addicted to the feeling of sitting in the Hokage seat that he planned to sit here for another thirty years.

As Sarutabi Hiruzen watched Yuta through the glass orb in his hand, Yuta raised one hand and started to say something. However, Hiruzen's telescope technique was not advanced enough to listen to voices at this time. Of course, that didn't mean that Hiruzen couldn't learn what he was saying.

"Yami yori idete yami yori kuroku sono kegare o misogiharae"

As Yuta moved his lips, the Hokage moved his lips in imitation and wrote down what he said on a piece of paper on his desk.

Immediately afterward, Hiruzen saw a black liquid appear ten meters above Yuta. As if Yuta was in a glass container, this black liquid spread over the glass container and then continued to flow toward the surroundings. After the liquid completely dissipated, the image in the glass sphere shook for a moment and Yuta disappeared from the middle of the forest.

After watching the technique in action, Sarutobi Hiruzen easily realized that it made it impossible to observe a certain area. He made sure of this when he arrived there sometime later and saw the Anbu running right past the area.

Hiruzen summoned another Anbu and sent him to inform the other two, then put his hands to his chin and began to think. After a few minutes, the Hokage decided to wait and see tomorrow before doing anything about this boy.

If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

After all, from the very beginning, it was only a possibility that the boy was a spy. If tomorrow he displayed all his skills in front of everyone, he could make sure that he was not a spy while pretending to raise him as a special anbu.

Meanwhile, the last anbu to leave found the other two anbu and, as the Hokage had said, they triangulated a certain area and waited. After a while the Curtain technique was broken and Yuta appeared in the middle of the forest. Of course, Yuta, who was only just getting stronger, had no idea that he was being watched by three elite Jonin ninjas.

These ninjas continued to follow Yuta until he jumped down from the mountain and went home, and then they turned back and reported to the Hokage office.

After thinking for a while about how much of his powers he would reveal tomorrow, Yuta decided to reveal all his powers, but he would tell people about his cutting ability as a different ability.

Yuta thought that after the battle he would be summoned by the Hokage council to talk about the bloodline and he wanted to because he couldn't normally find and photograph these four people.

Yuta continued to sit in the garden of Tsunade's house, thinking of a good excuse for his slashing ability.

Yuta's first idea was to lower his power by not waving his hand when he used his slashing ability and to say that he had an invisible summoning when asked, but after thinking about it for a while he abandoned this idea. Even though the slash ability seemed like a very op ability, this was the damn Naruto universe.

There were a lot of op bloodlines on this planet that had only appeared in a few episodes of the anime. In such a world, no matter how op the slash ability was, Yuta figured that unless he used it to slice someone in half in one go, he wouldn't be considered a threat.

Maybe cutting without waving his hand is what would make him look like a threat.

And so tomorrow Yuta decided to use this ability to make small scratches on people's bodies. The real power he would display would be that of the summoned beasts.

As Yuta continued to think, feeling sleepy, he looked up to see the newly risen red sun peeking over the walls of Konoha.

Now that the sun was up, it was time for Yuta to sleep. Before entering the house, Yuta covered the yard with a small curtain and chose a tree to measure the range of his slashing ability. With each slash that appeared on the tree, he took a step back until the slash did not reach the tree.

When Yuta was sure of the range of his ability, he closed the curtain ability, faced the rays of sunlight falling on him, and moved to enter the house, but just then he heard someone knocking on the garden gate. Who could have come to Tsunade's house at this hour when the sun was just rising?

_______-

When Yuta opens the garden gate, he meets a girl who gives him a very familiar impression. As Yuta tried to remember who she was, she observed him silently for a while and opened her mouth.

"Good morning, I'm Shizune and you must be Yuta. I saw you at school."

Yuta looked at the cute girl with black eyes and black hair. Yuta wondered why Shizune wasn't there when he first started staying with Tsunade, but he was too busy pretending he couldn't speak and forgot about it later.

"Uh, nice to meet you. Are you here for Tsunade? She doesn't get up at this hour."

"I know, but I'll get her up." With those words, Yuta stepped back from the doorway and let Shizune in.

As Shizune walked towards the house, Tsunade came out of the house with disheveled clothes.

"Oh, Shizunee are you already here?"

Yuta saw that Tsunade was also waiting for Shizune. "Tsunade-sensei aren't you going to introduce me?"

Tsunade was preparing to use ninjutsu to dig out the bottles of alcohol she had buried in the garden on Yuta's advice when she heard Yuta's words and froze. "I didn't tell you about Shizune before, did I?"

"Absolutely no."

Meanwhile, Shizune joined the conversation in a barely audible voice. "Tsunade-same, when I found out that there was someone with the surname Senju at school, I investigated and found out who Yuta was myself"

Shizune's words betrayed her reproach, but neither her tone nor the way she addressed Tsunade showed it.

Realizing that she had forgotten to tell the two of them about each other all this time, Tsunade sighed and used a large amount of chakra to create an earth-type ninjutsu, which was not her specialty. Unfortunately, since earth-type ninjutsu was not her specialty, it cost a lot of chakra and in return did nothing but bring bottles of alcohol from the ground to the surface.

Of course, as soon as Tsunade picked up the bottle of alcohol, which was stored under the ground at the temperature it should have been, she decided that the chakra she had spent had been well spent. It was neither too cold, which would burn her hand to hold the glass bottle, nor too hot, which would make her feel the taste of medicine as she drank.

The agitation hiding in the depths of Tsunade's eyes was dissipated by the sensation of the bottle of alcohol. It was at this moment that Tsunade saw the plastic chairs, which were covered with hoarfrost because they were shaded by the garden wall.

As if this gave her an excuse, she forced her messy hair behind her head with one hand before turning around and telling the two kids standing side by side that it was too cold outside. "Let's go inside and have breakfast."

Yuta accepted Tsunade's offer and gave Tsunade one last look before heading inside with Shizune. He didn't have many friends from his previous life and was always advised by his relatives to be a little more humane, but that didn't mean he was too stupid to not see the sadness in Tsunade's eyes.

"Pretty ladies first," Yuta said with a shameless grin as he held the door to the house as if he hadn't noticed her sadness. Yuta even guessed that when she saw Shizune, she remembered her old friend who had died on her hands. Maybe he would have been much more than a friend if he had lived a little longer, Yuta thought, but he didn't dare to be happy about it. He had become a curse only in body, after all.

Tsunade heard Yuta's words as she passed through the door, so she took the alcohol in her left hand, which she pressed against her chest with both hands, while she raised her right hand to hammer Yuta's head and entered the house, ignoring the whining behind her. Tsunade's mood was greatly improved by this small gesture. At the same time, Yuta felt a small sense of accomplishment because what he had done was unexpected even for him. If he had seen such a situation in his previous life, he would have watched from a corner as a third person, not knowing what to do.

Fortunately, Shizune, the only real child in the room, was not aware that Tsunade was going through such a fragile psychological phase that she was upset to see her. If she had realized this, she would never have been able to muster the courage to look Tsunade in the face again, and she would not have been the one to discipline Tsunade again in the future.

Tsunade, Yuta, and Shizune sat around the kitchen's centerpiece, the small round dining table, and waited in silence for a while. The silence lasted until Yuta gave up and decided to crack eggs for breakfast. A silent battle of who will prepare breakfast...

Meanwhile, Shizune's tension level continued to rise every second, not understanding what was going on. Shizune had lived with Tsunade for a while after her uncle died, but when she started ninja school two years ago, she decided to live on her own in the house she inherited from her uncle. And even though her life was usually quiet, it was only because she was alone.

There were three of them in a small kitchen, but the only sound was coming from the hot oil. Finally, Shizune couldn't take it anymore. "Tsunade-sama, I came to visit you so early to ask if you're coming to watch me and Yuta in the competition today."

Of course, Tsunade, who never left her house as much as possible and didn't talk to anyone even if she did, was not aware of the competition and looked menacingly at Yuta's back out of the corner of her eye. She had already told Yuta to let her know when there was an important event, so why was she learning about this competition from Shizune now?
