I jolt up and look around. I notice that I’m in the school infirmary. Laila warps in the room and looks at me. She lets out a sigh before saying
“Amon, let me train you. I won’t sign this off as official, so no one will expect you to leave them. If you continue to grow without guidance, you will die. You opened your divine gate with no practice. Even if it was incomplete, it was still very dangerous.”
I look up in confusion and say, “What do you mean, incomplete?”
“You don’t think that a little fog and some hands would be your ace in the hole, did you?.”
“I guess not. So, Laila, what is this divine gate?”
“Every manipulator has one. It is like your ultimate move or your ace in the hole. Only advanced manipulators tend to be able to use them, though.”
“So, does that mean you have one, Laila?”
“I can use two. Omnipresence is the one I used against you.”
“I didn’t see a difference when you used it.”
“It’s not an attack or trap type like most. It allows me to sense everything in a radiance, and my warping activates automatically.”

“So you can’t be hit?”
“I guess you could say that.”
I reach out my hand and slap her arm.
“Why did you hit my arm?”
“I thought you couldn’t be hit?”
“Amon, are you stupid?”
After a long silence, I stand up and stretch. “Basically, I need to master my Divine Gate, right?” I say. Suddenly we are in a forest. I look at Laila as she walks to a nearby stream.
“Amon, master your Divine Gate. Once you do, I will ask a favor of you,” she says, poking the water in the stream.
“Got it…….. So, how do I use it again?”
She lets out a huge sigh before sitting and saying, “Focus on all the energy you can. Inside and outside you. Take it from everything and channel it to your mind and soul.”
I close my eyes and focus on all the energy surrounding us. I begin taking in energy from the surrounding plant life. The surge of bliss hits me. My whole body feels light. “Open, Divine Gate, Dark Realm.” Laila stands up and looks at me. “Open, Divine Gate, Omnipresence.” As the forest is surrounded by darkness, I can see everything perfectly. I focus on this feeling and I bring forth the hands. They lift me off the ground and onto my back. I am staring at the sky with this feeling of bliss. “Amon, Calm down. You are getting high off the energy. Suppress it and keep taking it in.” I leap off the hands and onto the ground. The darkness spreads further into the forest, covering more. The hands begin to multiply. I feel this draining sensation and can barely keep my eyes open. The darkness dissipates and the forest returns to normal. Laila walks over to me and puts her hand on my shoulder. You are doing good Amon, if we keep the training up you will master it in no time. We warp into my dorm room, where I pass out onto the bed.
