Seeing that the two girls didn't understand, Darlina explained, "The Modified Humans seem to have an ability to adapt rapidly to counter a threat. I believe this, you already know."
Claire and Hannah nodded their heads. They had learned this during the training with Chelsea.
"Though we still don't understand the mechanism that allows for this, it means that traditional methods used by WABAL players are flawed from the beginning. It's only by using certain developing skills and unique items that allow them to fight." Darlina said to the two of them.
"But, you said that they would be doomed?" Hannah tilted her head, confused by the explanation from the robot.
Darlina nodded, "Yes. But that's due to not having bodies that are efficient at taking in this energy."
On the screen showing the fighting players against the monsters in the matches, it changed again to the image of a man and woman. "The human body will slowly begin accepting the energy being pushed out into the world, but initially, the amount being absorbed is low." Around the two human models, there were waves surrounding the body with only a fraction entering the body. "As the body begins to undergo the forced evolution, it'll begin taking in more energy at a faster rate." Darlina checked on Claire and Hannah, making sure they were following. It then looked at Melody.
Noticing the look that Darlina made to Melody, she turned to Melody and then back to Darlina. "What is it?" She asked.
Darlina combed its finger through its long hair, giving the impression of being a human instead of a robot. "This is where we go into an area we're not sure about. Even we don't have access to the information, being informed that we would find out as Adventurers go through the process." It sighed. "If you've followed WABAL games, you should be familiar with how the monsters drop items to be picked up by the players. These items are often able to produce fantastical powers. Powers that blow away the existing common sense of what humans are able to do. The items don't seem to be limited to the monsters in the game, but also the Modified Humans and the unexpected creatures emerging into the world. The assumption is that the items are being created inside of humans, too, as they absorb the energy. And if this is the case, then humans too can begin using those abilities."
Hannah interrupted with a question, "Why don't you know more about this information? Weren't the two of you created by Star and Moon?" Frowning at being told information while also being denied critical information.
Though Darlina was able to maintain a professional appearance, it was evident the robot felt as though it was being put into a difficult position. "It's true that we were created by Star and Moon, but not everyone is given access to the same amount of information."
"The fact we can even tell you this is due to your special privileges," Melody added in.
"Yes. Your level is higher than the average adventurer, allowing you to access information that wouldn't normally be made available. This information isn't public to every adventurer." Darlina explained patiently.
Not wanting to argue with the robots, Claire was silent, though learning that the robots didn't have all the information that Star and Moon had access to was something she wasn't expecting. Besides, the thought that them gaining some kind of special abilities after absorbing the energy was something she didn't know what to think about.

Clapping its hands together, Darlina said, "This ends the introduction to the Adventurer System." Waving a hand towards their surroundings, "This area, isolated from the rest of the sector is the Adventurer Guild." Eyeing both girls, "I assume you've already reached a conclusion of this place based on the information I provided. Each Underground City has an Adventurer Guild. Our job is to get each adventurer prepared to win back this world, from the Modified Humans and Unexpected Creatures. The Guild is where you'll receive training, information, and jobs to help you grow."

End of Part 1
"It's a lot to take in, so we'll just have you enjoy a video created by Star and Moon that explains all the different areas inside of the guild, in addition to benefits provided to adventurers," Melody told them.
Claire and Hannah looked at Melody and back to Darlina, who nodded its head while giving a big smile.
"It's quite enjoyable. Star and Moon put in plenty of effort to create the training videos for new adventurers. Melody will lead you to the viewing room, where you'll be watching the video. The system is pretty self-contained, so once you enter and after finishing, you'll be caught up." Darlina was cheerful as it talked about the process. "And feel free to talk to any of us, the Darninas around the Guild. We're happy to be of service."
Claire saw Melody beginning to walk past the counter that Darlina stood behind.
"I didn't think we'd be watching a video," Hannah shrugged as she looked at Claire.
Nodding, Claire walked with Hannah as they followed after Melody. The walk wasn't very long, ending at a small entryway with the words "Orientation For New Adventurers" on the top of the entrance.
Melody looked back at them as it entered the area. "Like I mentioned, when a resident gets a yellow light, they'll be directed to this area. The only difference is this entrance doesn't have security features, analyzing the individual. The two of you have already been cleared, or you wouldn't be on this side of the wall."
As she was listening to what Melody was talking about, Claire looked around their surroundings. On the wall were posters, with images showing a man or woman fighting against monsters. The different posters had a variety of backgrounds, some of them in jungles, ancient ruins, deserts, and even in outer space. It reminded Claire of the propaganda posters she'd seen in her textbooks related to the Continental Wars, convincing men and women to enlist into the military.
"Though people have to go through this process if they receive a yellow light, Star and Moon anticipated that some people would need to experience it multiple times. This area also has a place for measuring an adventurer's level, so the two of you will get very familiar with this place as you develop." Melody explained. Pointing to the different posters, "When you get high enough in levels, these types of scenes won't be just a dream but a reality."
It wasn't long before they entered a large room. At the front was a large screen, and there were several rows of benches for people to sit on.
"This area is where you can watch the video to gain information about this place and the benefits that come along with being an adventurer." Pointing past the back wall of the room, "That's where you'll be tested, so just follow the hall. This stuff will all be explained." Melody then headed out of the room.
"Where are you going?" Claire asked, confused why Melody was taking off.
Waving at them, "My job is over. I'll still be around in this Underground City, but having guided you here, I need to get back to my jobs waiting for me." Pointing at the screen, "Just watch the video. It's on a perpetual loop, so if you don't understand something, just watch it several more times, and you'll pick it up. I believe in the two of you being smart enough to not need me to hold your hand."
Seeing the robot leave them in the room, Claire looked at Hannah.
"I guess we just watch the video?" Hannah said to Claire, shrugging both shoulders.
