In 1935, two military projects began development with some of the greatest minds known to man at the time. One was called the Manhattan Project, and the other was known as Project Hierophant. The lead members of Project Hierophant were Nikola Tesla, Albert Einstein, and Howard Hughes, among many others. Robert Oppenheimer assisted with the development of the power source during key phases when he could be spared from the Manhattan project.

Hierophant was the next leap forward in not only warfare but eventually humanity itself. The first model they created was an ungainly monstrosity, that was slow and exceedingly heavy. Every step it took would cause the earth to tremble. It was sufficient to strike fear in many of their enemy’s hearts, but little more.
Refinement of the mechanical Hierophant giant would need to be completed over the next several years.
