Valerius woke up with a start, and rubbed his eyes blearily. He yawned and stretched his arms out. Then, he remembered what happened yesterday. Tears came to his eyes as he replayed his mother dying. Wait... maybe it was all a bad dream! He looked around and realized that it was, sadly, not a bad dream, as he was surrounded by houses burning up with black smoke. He recalled his oath to secure revenge and obliterate the Order of Necron. I swear, I will right this wrong, Mother! Just you wait!
Valerius started preparing supplies for a long, arduos journey to Vrunard, a large city pretty far from his current location in Enari Village. But then he realized that, because his village was burned, there would be no supplies. He sighed as he realized he would have to walk to the closest town, Jiavale, to prepare for his journey to Vrunard.

Valerius was exhausted. After walking for 6 hours straight, his feet were burning, his legs ached, his arms felt like lead, and his mouth was a desert. But at least he was at Jiavale. Oh wait! I'm dumb! I don't have money! Valerius put his head in his hands. All I have is my bow and my sword, and I'm not selling them! Valerius then realized that he could go hunting. He ran into the forest and so began the hunt.

Valerius was proud of himself. He had improved his skills a lot! And he even managed to catch an elusive Glowdeer, which, obviously, glowed in the dark. And not only did he catch it, but he caught it alive, increasing the value exponentially! He quickly hurried and sold all of his catches for a grand total of 1,247 Stachinis (currency)! "Whoo! I'm not broke!" Valerius cheered.
After buying sprigons, which were transport animals famous for endurance, strength, and sense of direction(450 Stachinis), a wagon(100 Stachinis), water(75 Stachinis), food(150 Stachinis), a blanket adapting to the heat the user wants(100 Stachnis), a pillow(25 stachinis), and an owl which he named Neftis(200 Stachinis), leaving him with a mere 147 Stachinis. "Well I certainly spent my money fast!" Valerius muttered under his breath. "But at least I'm ready." He readied his horses, attached them to the wagon, got in the wagon, put down the pillow and blanket, commanded the sprigons to set their destination to Vrunard, and promptly fell asleep.
