Dust kicking up in the air, leaving Hino dumb founded at the struggle she's having-adjusting the living room. "Just go and have the soda" Hino sighs-taking her place to just do the cleaning.
"Why did you break into my house?" he asked, on his knees, picking up the stacks of newspapers and other pieces of junk, littered around. "And what did that guy meant by you being the daughter of the sea?". She laughs, beating on the sofa. "Cause I really am. Now I need a bodyguard" she explains.
"Well good luck with that" he respond, finish cleaning the place.
Deciding to head to the showers, exhausted from earlier. From the living room, he could hear the news in the background. "Hey what should I call you?" he ask. "Remi!!" she yells out.
"Remi, huh" he whispered to himself, inviting himself into the bathroom. Doors locked behind, crouching down with his knees between his arms. "Holy shit. Holy shit. I invited a beast into my house!!" his words echoed internally inside. "So arrested, so arrested" Hino repeats his mind, Andi might kill him if he finds out. "What would Mari do?" he questioned, tears in his eyes as he lay face flat on the bathroom's floor. "Crap she's still in my head" Hino panics, thrashing his legs and arms around the air.
"Hey body guard guy!!" Remi yells, banging on the other side of the door. "Don't call me that! I ain't one!!" he yells, leaving the bathroom. Noticing Remi's sudden disappearance, the house seem to have gotten quiet or of a sudden. This cold sensation, enticed his senses. Ding dong..... the bell rang, surprised at the proper functionality of his apartment's door bell, Hino loitered forward having his fingers wrapped around the knob.
"Who else knows my apartment?" he questioned himself, excitingly opening the door.
"Is this you?" Now face to face with a picture of himself, staring with an odd smile at him. "I guess?" Hino agrees.
"Good. Now I'm gonna kill you" the man spoked. Zipping the mask-part of his jacket upped, kicking Hino back across the living room. Noticing Hino left stunted on the floor, the man with the number 10 carries on. Pulling a knife and charge forward. Missing by an inch, Hino dodges-sliding below the man's arm. "I just clean this place!!!" he cries out in annoyance "This is a no knife zone, you hear me!!!".
Dropping the knife, the man continues on, spinning and kicking as he goes. Dodging on all fours, Hino leaps across his home before seeking refuge in the bathroom. "Hey get out there" the man called out to Hino. "Are you gonna kill me?" Hino yells from the bathroom. "Definitely" he heard his reply. "Well then I ain't coming out!!"
Slamming opened the bathroom door, where he heard Hino's voice earlier. An empty bathroom with no Hino in sight, drop of water repetitively fall from the faucet, leading him to close it tightly. Lights on. Standing at the only exit out of the room, scanning the perimeter before looking upwards.
"What are you Spider man or something?" he asked, seeing Hino-stretched out at all fours, clinging to the corner of the ceiling. "What are you the Hulk?" Hino retorted-looking in deep discomfort at his position. Hurt at the comment and looking at himself in the mirror, face covered over by the jacket's mask with a hood over his head, leaving his eyes visible. "Moon Knight or Taskmaster would have been better!!" he argued back "I'm wearing white over here!!".
"Haven't heard of them!!!" Hino yells-swinging down-legs straight towards his killer. "Fuck you!!!" Ten yells, hurdling he and Hino out the window, into the night. "Not again!" Hino yells.
Air passes by his ear in rapid speed. 11....9..7....he counted the floor before hitting solid ground. Ten was above him a little, falling down with him. "Crap what should I do?" Hino tries to figure, seeing Remi looking at him on the railings from one of the lower floors. "Focus" he kept repeating to himself, loosing track of his enemy in the air. Where did he go too? There's no where to go in the air? Had he landed?
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
Abruptly his descend quickens with an unknown force pressing down on him. Thunk!... The back of his head burst out. Unconscious on the road, his arms and legs loosing strength as he laid there like a dead deer. Appearing over him, Ten stood over him-heart hurting with a sharp poked. "Over 30 seconds" he struggle to say, gripping tightly to his chest. "Atleast one over".
Before letting him walk off, Hino reaches out-holding him by the shoulders. "How!!" he reacted, hiding his surprised. "You didn't hit me hard enough" Hino claims, ready for round two.
A shadow engulfed the two of them, having to seek upwards to find the source. A large cylinder, connected by a thin pole-purely out of water. Remi crashed down swinging her gigantic mass onto to the streets.
The dust dissipate, reveling no witnesses or injured participants. A total miss.
"That's the guy!!" she pointed for Hino to see. "That's the reason I need a bodyguard"
"Like I'm one" he replied laying on the road exhausted. "Got to clean again" Hino said in a dull tone as he get to his feet. "Like no one else is watching. No one can stop me from doing too much".
"I need to be serious now" Ten sighs.
"You alright?" Hino concern. "He might be bad in the head" he thought in his head.
"I need to put in more effort" Ten said, readying himself. Running away from the two. "Tactical retreat!" he repeats as he runs off.
The two of them looking at one another, flabbergasted. "I'm not chasing after him" Hino points out, tired from all of this. Remi agrees, explaining that she's hungry of some bread. "Your cheap" Hino comments, accepting her desire for bread. "I like them toasted" she comments as they walked in together.
.....
Laying in bed, with Remi having the couch and all the blankets and pillows-leaving him laid empty on an empty bed, staring up at the ceiling. "What do I do?" he kept thinking, the snores outside by Remi managed to distract him from his thoughts a little. He still kept on thinking about it.
What was "it" he's thinking? Hands folded behind the pillow, crossing his right leg over on top the left. Silently staring up at the ceiling.
"Oh wait she's the Living Ocean's daughter" he recalled. The word "Ocean" repeated in his mind as his eyes weight down.
.......
The calm before the storm like they always said. The warm sensation of the sun basking over him, the roar of ceremonial drums banging with dancers on rafts, in coordination. The softness of his mother's hands, the protective roughness of his dad's.
That rushed of being pulled along right behind his parents. When was the last? The rush, the wind weaving all around them like snakes around their prey, the wetness of the earth below them-effortlessly sinking down with every step. The terror on their faces as he blissfully smiles. Had he not known what happened?
Oh they died.....
Red eyes. A single large one, he recalled looking straight at it once, where was that. He even recalled a great shaking, followed by wind carrying buildings up into its vortex. The people were screaming also. The storm ate the sun.
Red eyes
Red eyes
Red eyes
Ocean! He yelled to himself inside. Eyes twitching, his arms shaking. His heart seem to beat louder then his breath, did he even slept at all? Ocean! Ocean! Ocean!
What are these thoughts? Kill Kill Kill Kill
No... No.... Family. Die Die Die Die Die No..... Can't
Family. Gone. Take family......
Like a zombie, groggy and half awaked. Opening the door without a single creek, Hin step out. A step at a time, makes his heart race. Acquiring a kitchen knife, he continues towards the living room, looming over a fast asleep Remi. Her breath going at smooth pace.
Finger wrapped tightly around the handle. The moon light peering through the curtains, illuminating over him. Light reflected off from its silver surface. Raising up above her, readying himself, the beating in his heart-silent then before. "Is this it?"-"Am I really"-"Am I going to?"-all these thoughts came flooding at the last moment. She looks human but she clearly isn't. He could kill Rana, Fauna, Luna or Lana and possibly even Nana he had killed but every time he tries, he sees Emily. All those from school, the hospital, everyone. "I can't" he regretfully sighs.
Guilty. He left the knife, deciding to grab a coat and head out for someone. Looking back at the sleeping Remi, unknown to what could have happened, he tearfully closes the door behind.
