Chapter 14:Arrest

Chapter 14:Arrest

"The injured had all been taken to immediate healthcare" Connor informs over the walkie-talkie. "Handle the mess" Andi answers on the other end "I'll handle the idiots".

Rattling around at the backseat, kicking among one another. "Hey let me go! I did nothing here!! Its only this guy!!" Princi shouts at the back, hands cuffs as Hino struggles to shut her up. "Quit touching me!! You thief!!" she shouts once more.

"Your going to put us in more shit!! If you keep talking" Hino fights back, shouldering her against the window. "Listen I ain't a thief" his tone changed "Sorry I got carried away".

"Fine" Princi with her head turn against the window-clapping his hands together as if a movie had just ended. "That's all sweet and all but-" Andi spoked, stopping at traffic.

"Your still under arrest" he continue, taking a sharp turn from his original course. "Wait! This ain't towards the station" Princi shouting her head towards the front, only to gain a swift elbow to her forehead. "I need a burger" Andi replied, turning is way onto a local fast food place.

"Each of you order one thing only" as he lets them out of them car, hand cuffs still on.

Entering the place with only a single person registered at the counter. "A burger please" Andi ordered, "Err I'll take a fish sandwich" Hino picks. "Cheap. But a good choice" Andi acknowledges. "I'll take the coffee milkshake!!" Princi swiftly answers.

"No. Expensive" Andi denies

"Why no! Hino got to pick!!!" she questions

"No"

"Yes"

"No"

"Fight me!!"

"Hey come on now, just pick something else" Hino chimes in. "Shut up" she scoffs back "Don't you see, he's taking away my human rights!" pointing towards Andi-leaving him and Hino both confused at the words she just said.

Lost at the words she just said. "Are you brain dead" Andi wonders, taking a cigarette out his pocket before lighting it. "Come one say yes!!" she demands, raising her fist and stomping against the ground.

"Fine" Andi unwelcomely agrees.

....

Burger.

A bite at a time. Occasionally the sauce drips off the side, leaving a moody feeling. "How is it Hino?" Andi asked, stuffing his face full before talking again. Looking at Princi asleep with drink in hand, he wonders what he actually meant?

"To kill?" Andi adds taking a sharp turn away from the towering buildings around them, slowly morphing in distance as he drove further from the where the station sits. "Where we going? This ain't the station, Is it?" Hino questioned, staring at the back of Andi while he drives. Taking in the subtle taste of his cigarette, "You might be helpful" he answered-huffing a cloud of smoke in the car.

"Helpful" that word stick in his mind, what kind of helpful could he had meant? Dizzy and exhausted from what happened earlier and with it being passed midnight, the thought of being in potential danger slipped his mind as he never questioned Andi's words. "Helpful?" he repeats, wondering if its some kind of joke on him. There, they made a stop at the edge of a tunnel, that seems to stretch itself across to the other side of the mountain facing them.

Surrounded by familiar trees, an image of himself running profusely conjured up inside his head, before being snuffed out by the waking of Princi. Yawning loudly, she questions Andi, reaching behind only to recall her spears were confiscated.

"Where are we!" she demanded. "Government soil" was the answer she gets.

Right before she could question the logistic of what he said, a light beamed over them. Looking between the gaps of their finger, covering over their eyes-only to be greeted by a truck, reversing itself back towards them. "Don't move" Andi warns the two of them. Pulling closer as it stops right where there's an inch of space between the car and the back of the truck.

Getting on the platform laid for them on the trucks back as in scurries back into the dark with the three of them standing as it goes.

Eventually the car slowly looses its size the deeper they go, eventually being a small speck of what it once was. "Hey ain't this kind of creepy" Hino tries to point out, only to see Princi in total fascination. "We are still in cuffs you know!!" he tries to point out to her, only to fall on deaf ears by Princi.

Base 12-a large label, painted in white on the tunnel's wall. Eventually after listening to the repetition of gears turning as they go, with a quick halt. It all came to a stop. "Now we get off and walk" he spoked as he hops off the platform and walking behind the wall.

"I've never been arrested before but I don't think this is how being in one is." Princi whispered in his ear-"Maybe we should follow him?" she adds before tagging along with Andi. "We still have cuffs on" he thought, before following along.

........

Midnight.

Under heavy down pour and man cries to himself. Face submerged in a shallow puddle as water covers over him. "My child" he yells, voice distorted by the water "My poor sweet boy" he adds.

"Enough about your son" another man calls out to him, his silver suit seemingly untouchable. Stepping closer with the water around his feet retreating back with each step, rain drops from above seem to slide away, the moment before impact. "You still have a daughter around." the man spoke, "Well atleast she's running around somewhere".

"You don't get it, do you W?" the man said between his teeth, eye glaring straight at W. Water continues pour over him, though not by the weather but from his own being. "You don't know the value of a son" he shouts, causing the water around them to react with fury before settling back. "Don't hit something you can't touch" W declared, standing over him-head raised high, while maintaining perfect eye contact with O.

Abruptly the scene changed. Once a dark-grassy landscape with a monsoon river dividing up the area, trapped in a constant rain now warped into a town hall with warm lights. "Dominion, is this you?" W questions, turning his striking gaze towards Dominion.

Dressed sharply in dark formal wear from top to bottom. Wearing a pair of gloves over his hand as he adjust his tie and vest before acknowledging W. Featureless, even the shape of a head was hardly visible to most-just a void looking back at those who look, the eye's of the looker looking at their own.

"Boss is coming" Dominion's voice echoed to all their ears, a voice so foreign, it couldn't even match the person who said those words.

"Your one creepy fellow, I tell ya" W respond, wiping a bit of sweat off himself. "Shall we have a seat?" W add, bringing attention towards the discussion table set up behind the three of them. "Affirmative" Dominion adds-waving his hand over the air, with chairs materializing from thin air.

"What a surprise" somebody in the hall spoked, somehow already sitting there-on the main spot, overlooking the three of them. Eying one of them at time before sighing in a moment of weary. "Its nice everyone is together" speaking tiredly with an uninterested smile.

"Boss..." W in a nervous tone, trying maintain eye contact. "Don't call me boss. I am not that old " he corrects the walking wind. "Right... Morri" W corrects himself-adjusting his clothing and any oddness in his appearance.

Slouching off his seat, pushing the chair back to stand right. Clearing his throat as he called all of them, to greet their new guest. "Wind. Ocean. Dominion." he called out to all of them.

Brushing his fringe, revealing pale green eyes. "Say hello to the rest for me".

.....

Isolation.

Cut off from outside, now placed in temporary containment-in a room, cuffs free, left to his own accord.

"Atleast I not with her" Hino grumbles thinking of Princi, sometimes he thinks, he could hear the echoes of her shouting from another room similar to his own nearby.

"Hino correct" Andi enters his room, followed by Connor behind him. "Not a Demi-human, just regular. Nothing ordinary. No special case. Health all regular" he repeats from the report done on Hino.

"What and how? Is not what I want to know." he admits looking at Hino with intimidation. "I didn't think you were a liar either" eye telling Hino what he should do to him. "But killing a monster like that single handedly is alarming " he turns away, huffing a smoke.

"Can you do it again?" Andi wonders, his back turn towards Hino. "Well Princi certainly would be interested" Hino scoffs. "Don't bring her up" Connor chimes in "She nearly kicked me".

"Well I would do the same" Hino adds.

"You wanna try?" Connor fights back.

"I dare yaa"

"Point number 1!" Andi raised a finger for the two of them to see. "Witness number1. The disturbing sight of a man biting the face of another man. Dead or alive, man is man" Andi spoked leaving the two lost for words. "Point number 2!" he raised a second finger. "Witness number 2. The unspoken absurdity you posses. The means to constantly stand after fatal injury". "Point number 3" now three fingers were raised for all to see. "This is by Princi's own two eyes. The power to call over a chainsaw!".

"Fucking Snitch!!!" Hino yells, his heart racing as he broke free from his chair before Connor immediately pins him to the floor. "Hey pervert get off me!! God dammit off me!!".

"There's two ways to go by" Andi looms over Hino, blocking the light-leaving a silhouettes over Hino. "You help me with something and I let you go. You took the job of killing a monster before, so do it one more time." Hino could believe the words coming from Andi, "What is it then?" he struggles to say the words out.

"Who is it then?" he questions.

"That's classified. Yes or living here for your life, no third or fourth choices" Andi answers, sprinkling the ash from his cigarette onto him.

"Fine then".

"Good"

.......

Strolling.

Free from the room, now walking aside the two man threaten him a minute ago. "We are gonna get the girl out now" Connor spoke as he unlocks the door.

"Your hero has once again broken free of her shackles!!" Princi jumps out yelling onto Hino. "Oh there you are Hino" she later notices.

Anti-Damage Monster Activity or ADMA for short. A governmental policy soon to be put into full action in this region of the country. With up to 37 of the 60 votes needed for its full effect. Recently, 24 of the supporter had died within the last two weeks from so called "Incidents".

"I need you to guard this man right here" producing a picture of a man in his mid to late 40s. "He looks kinda old" Princi spouts. "Doesn't look like he aged well at all" Hino chimes in.

"There's no reason for you to be making fun of the client" Andi butts in, "But if it make working with you two easier, say all you want".

Leaving instructions for Connor to take charge of explanations as he take his leave for a smoke.

.....

Yawning over and over. Over the non-stop bombardment of information Connor has been pilling inside their mind for the past hour. "I wanna go home" Princi growls, burying her head into the table before yawning again. "Can we go home now? I agreed so let me leave." Hino questions.

"Executive Chairman Philip is man that is of great importance." Connor took a stand against the two of them. A confused "what?" was exchange between the two of them before looking back in Connor's direction.

Slamming his fist against the table in perpetual anguish. "You kids need all this info for this job and even for your education. Don't you care about school?" in a fit of frustration.

"I mean a little" Hino answered, scratching the back of his neck-"I get good grades" Princi with a smug look, raising her feet on the table.

"Atleast just listen for a minute" Connor whispered in defeat.

.....

"Are you sure?" Andi chimes in on the phone. There's this feeling sitting inside of him, sitting there soundly, so silent now disturbed from its slumber. Anxiety has its hand on him now.

"Explain" his voice from calm shifting to desperate. "How long?" he adds on, pulling out a pen and paper-drawing lines of words and numbers, he heard on the other side of the line, in swift pace. "Inform the chairman of my help" he adds, before ending the call.

Slouching down with a hand pressed against the wall for support. Somehow he could feel the quiver of his heart, banging against his chest. White noise seem to fill his head. A pencil drop with a thud echoed all through out the floor. Then that piece of paper, sliding off his finger tips-gently landing on the floor.

"The wind sure is about to hit this place" he chuckle himself towards the dark-lighting another as he chuckles.
