9 o'clock. Hino thinks, standing around the side walks, mindlessly looking about at people minding their own. "Crap or was it 9pm?" grunting to himself, maybe the note he sent through her mail, didn't spell things out correctly. No its much more easy to say, that he spelled wrong.
Maybe I should give up, his thoughts told him. Digging deep in his pocket, managing to pull out the money he managed to save up from the recycling center. He even brought the umbrella from the last round they met. Maybe I really did screw up.
Feeling defeated and just deciding to just go home. "Hey sorry" a man unknowingly bumped into him. "Its cool" Hino respond, watching the man in an odd looking raincoat with the number 10, printed at the back.
"Sports fan" he thinks before brushing the whole notion off and continue going home.
"Hey wait up!" the same guy called out to him. "Do I know you?"
Do I know anyone who looks like they haven't shave in a month? Hino asked himself-to him this guy is way weirder then he is. Stucked looking at one another, shoulders slouched, absent mindedly looking at one another. "Sorry I think I need some glasses" the guy said with a smile before walking off.
"Where's Mari?" he could only wander before walking away, completely given up on meeting her. "Dude?" a girl called out to him, bringing excitement back to a full hundred only too drop lower then before. "Oh its just you" Hino sighs seeing Princi walking over in typical student uniform.
"Your a bitch for being moody to see me" she spoked, swinging around her bag.
She laughs seeing Hino's look of being stood up by a girl she never heard off. "Shut up!" he tries to shut her up, using his hands to shut her mouth-while the crowd watches at their antics.
"Both of you need a muzzle!" Andi scoffs, walking over to separate the two, holding both of them apart by neck. Caught between a tight squeeze, unable to break free till agreement of good behavior. "Princi why aren't you at school?" taking a sip from his canteen.
"I woke up late" she confidently responded. "Is that so...." Andi could only say.
Opening the car door, making the two weary on what he's about to do next. "Get in" were the words he only said. Not before dragging Princi into the backseat, locking her behind the door while Princi knocks against the window. "Kids must always go to school" he proclaims.
"I may not be a real cop but I know when education is important" he told Hino as he looks at Princi kicking against the glass, ignoring the crowd actively diverting their eyes. "Your should reopen soon, Hino. Get some education" he said before driving Princi to school.
"I should go home and study" Hino muttered to himself, sweating as he left the scene.
.....
"Do you ever had a bad feeling?" Connor asked, standing at the entrance of the Mega mall.
"I got kicked by a girl" Andi answered on the other end of the phone. "We are agents, we eliminate threats. Results justify the means" he said, clearly aware of what Connor is thinking about.
Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.
Looking at all the guards and plenty of set up being done for Chairman Phillip's public event. Observing the 10 psychic joining the security team for public sweeping, the rows of armed guards-lined up outside the entrance being brief of positions and possible danger across the environ of the mall. The train manager of a nearby station, coming over to be brief over by the secretary of the chairman. No chairman in sight.
Walking around the cross walks, endlessly listening to the his seniors rambling. "What about the experimental division and those two?" he finally asked.
"I don't trust the public's power" Andi answers. "The main goal for us are the elimination of the four criminals, not a political agenda" the words seem to send a cold down Connor's spine.
"The chairman is mainly cheese"
"The girl is prideful but is quick to kill" Andi mentions Princi in a tired tone.
"That boy has a higher chance but chances are unknown" mentioning Hino.
"One does it for the fame, the other to improve their life style. Both are simple motivation" Andi indicates to Connor. "Simple motivation goes a long way"
"As for the Experimental Division. Their the Doctor's hand" Andi answered before ending the call.
"The Doctor" Connor muttered to himself, looking at a piece of trash on the floor. Then turning his head at the Mega mall, wondering if 10 psychics and the best security could even guard a man.
If its all for the elimination of the four criminals, where would they be at now? There's so much uneasiness inside of him. "I need to buy some lucky tokens now" he admits to himself.
.....
"Ocean isn't joining" Morri said, contently smiling atop the roof. "So its still on?" W laying against the parapet, looking the opposite direction from Morri. Down, adjacent towards the building their on.
A convenient store sat there, few kids were out and about, hanging around the outside. "What are we standing around her for?" W asked, his feline-like eyes peering intently at the doors of the store. Two man left out the store, one with his shoulders tucked together, nervously looking left and right before crossing the road. Standing beside him, a blonde haired man with round glasses and wide shoulders. Donning a black coat, covering a white uniform, teeth making a grinding sound as he rubs them against each other.
"You hear me! Next time I get back I want to see all your inventory organized!" a short-tempered woman with neck long hair yells out, scaring the children away. "All the labels facing outwards perfectly! You hear me!!".
Trying to calm her rowdy antics, was a man of average height with an arm cast sling over his right arm.
"What even is this?" W questions Morri, "These nutjobs?".
"Relax, the four of them are equal to you" Morri response. Pointing towards the nervous man with his shoulders tucked, "His name is V". Weaving over towards the lady and the guy Morri smiles, "Their both disastrous. Comparable to you even".
Comparable? W perplexed being called similar to those two he barely seen or heard. "Oh and that's DW" W watches the last person getting name dropped, the blonde in the coat standing still. "He's gonna kill plenty" Morri claims.
Hearing the confidence in his boss's words, he couldn't help but laugh at the prospect. "Shall we test that out?" he asked, turning one of his hands, from solid flesh to a grey-hazy shape that ripples and floats. Piercing its way out from his palm, a semi-translucent blade shoot forth, in the direction of an unsuspecting DW.
BANG
An bang filled the air for a second before the evening got quiet once more. Morri laughs, pointing the confused W towards the nearby wall. A small hole imbedded the stone-bricked wall, with cracks stretching out from center point.
"N-no way!!!" W with sweat forming on his forehead. "I couldn't see" was all he could say. Looking back at the blonde guy from earlier, now walking along side the other three-whistling and laughing along with the lady.
"Now you see" Morri chuckles, "aren't they such fun?".
What is this bad feeling? W question himself, the weather of the evening seem to calm his nerves down a little but his pride feels weak. How?
