Coiling Dragon: Akasha [Abandoned]
Chapter 3: Spells of Destruction

Chapter 3: Spells of Destruction

Akasha stilled. He took another glance at the lightning titan. His skin was blue-ish white, his hair cloud-like, and his eyes were lightning. "Your weapon wouldn't happen to be a lightning bolt, right?"

Zeus recoiled and looked at Akasha. "You recognize me?"

Akasha frowned and exuded pressure again. "From now on, address me as Your Majesty, got it?"

All four deities bowed. They were unwilling in their hearts. After all, each one of them was an overlord of their territory and was unwilling to bow to each other. The three Demigods even formed an alliance to fight the sole God because of this. But what could they do in the face of absolute power?

Akasha waved his hand, and moments later, the five of them shifted away from the Arctic Icecap where the teleportations were and above the central continent. The four deities stiffen in shock. Not only was Akasha's speed like teleportation, but they were powerless to resist. Once again, they witness the vast gulf between them.

"From now on, this continent will be known as the Magnolia Continent, and I will be its ruler."

The God showed an ugly look on his face. Among the Olympus Plane's thirteen continents, the central continent was the largest and most prosperous, so he was its ruler. However, Akasha didn't choose the central continent because of its wealth. Would he care for such a continent on a material plane with his current status?

His choice was made because the newly-named Magnolia Continent contained the proto-humans.

Akasha pointed his hand, and a massive castle appeared atop the tallest mountain in the Magnolia Continent, Mount Olympia. Inside the castle, a statue made of black stone carved in his image and exuding a terrifying pressure appeared.

"From now on, all creatures will worship the Sovereign of Annihilation. Anyone who practices heresy will be killed!"

Again, all four deities showed an ugly look. They have long understood the benefits of faith, so they were unwilling, but they dare not disobey. Akasha nodded in satisfaction and then glanced at the deities and waved his hand. A ring appeared in front of them.

"Since you originate from the same material plane as me, I will give you some benefits. You only need to drip blood on the ring to claim ownership. Inside, you have a single Highgod artifact and a set of God artifacts. But the most precious thing is the drop of Sovereign's Might. Each of you will only get one, and it can save your life. But if you carelessly reveal it, it will invite disaster instead. Remember, you only get one." Akasha said. Then he waved his hand. "Alright, you are dismissed."

The four deities bowed in thanks, feeling dizzy. First, they were beaten with a stick, and now they got the carrot?

The four rivals shared a look and flew away together. After they flew towards Zeus's continent, they began to discuss what had just happened. Zeus was originally the second most powerful expert of the Olympus Plane, and his strength only grew more powerful after he got his second divine clone.

"I won't waste any words. What should we do?" Zeus asked.

The God was a monster with the upper body of an ape, snake for hair, web wings, and a serpentine lower body. He was a divine beast that mastered the Profound Mystery of Spatial Wind and Essence of Wind. "Too powerful, I couldn't even resist. I feel like he might be above the God Realm."

Hearing this, the three Demigods had a severe expressions. After fighting with Typhon for so long, they understood the vast difference between a Demigod and a God.

Hestia was a Demigod who mastered the Profound Mystery of Fire Essence. Unlike the other three deities, she was a fire spirit that achieved divinity through her own understanding and was not a divine beast, making her the weakest of the three.

The last one appeared to be a woman carved out of stone. Her name was Gaia, and she became a deity after mastering the Profound Mystery of Vitality.

After much discussion, they couldn't come to a decision, so they separated but not before promising a ceasefire. Right now, all of them wanted to refine the divine artifacts inside their rings and discover why the Sovereign's Might was so impressive.

Akasha knew all of this. How could mere deities detect a Sovereign's divine sense? But he didn't care.

His focus at the moment was studying the proto-humans. He wanted to create mortals with the power of the Sable Leviathan. Perhaps, humans in the midst of their evolution were most suitable, but Akasha naturally didn't want to use Wodred's limited blood essence, so he experimented with the blood of other divine beasts.

Akasha discovered that his life-type divine clone was more suitable for experimentation during the process. Perhaps the nature of destruction went against evolution, so Akasha left it up to his life-type divine clone while his main body returned to Infernal Realm, but not before making the deities swear not to reveal about the Olympus Plane or himself.

Back in the Infernal, Akasha began his retreat. Since he had decided to propagate his religion and gather faith, he wanted to add insurance. Akasha remembered the spells were basically a simplified version of the profound mysteries. Any mage who used them was akin to praying, so it was another viable method of gathering faith.

Not to mention that creating spells would help him deepen his understanding of the Edict of Destruction. Unlike the elemental laws, the four edicts didn't have mysteries. Be that as it may, there are still certain categories within the edicts.

A hundred thousand years later, Akasha finished creating seven spells.

Forbidden Rank Spell - Nuclear Blast. As the name implied, it created a nuclear bomb using the materials in the air. Anyone who could use it was likely a prime saint.

Forbidden Rank Spell - Void Veil. A spell that cloaked the user in a defensive aura that weakened attacks.

Forbidden Rank Spell - Absolute Fragility. Any object or living being with this spell cast upon them would be significantly weakened to the point that even non-saint could defeat them.

Ninth Rank Spell - Energy Leak. A spell that caused the user's opponent to lose battle qi or mana to leak, rendering the powerless with time.

Eight Rank Spell - Shatterpoint. Launches an undefendable attack that breaks the target.

Seventh Rank Spell - Vacuum Pocket. Deprives an area of air and other matter.

Sixth Rank Spell - Piercing Spear. Condenses the user's mana into spears and launches them at a target.

Contrary to Akasha's expectations, higher-ranked spells were easier to create. In contrast, spells from the first to the fifth were tens of times more challenging to create. He wanted to continue creating more spells, but the turbulence in the Infernal Realm made it so that Akasha couldn't.

All the remaining Sovereigns of Destruction had been born. One was already killed during the battle for supremacy. It was already a miracle that none of them looked for Akasha, probably because they didn't think he was a threat or wanted to deal with the others before dealing with him. Whatever the reason, Akasha decided to put an end to it all.

Once he released the spells, the other Sovereigns of Destruction would learn of the benefits of faith, so he had to subdue them before he propagated the spells.

"Enough."

All the Sovereigns of Destruction frowned as they felt the message conveyed through divine sense. One by one, they flew into the sky and saw Akasha looking at them. The only one who recognized Akasha was Boson looked at him with complicated eyes. After years of fighting, he could already perceive that Akasha was likely a High Sovereign.

The first to speak was a divine beast in the shape of a dragon with two pairs of wings. "Who're you to stop us? I'll tell you right now that you better return to your hole or wherever you came from, or else I won't be polite."

Akasha glanced at him. Then his figure disappeared and appeared in front of the Intermediate Sovereign. A sword appeared in his hand and slashed toward the dragon-shaped Sovereign.

"No!" The Sovereign wanted to escape, but he felt as if he was trapped in a place without the power to resist. The next moment, Akasha's sword pierced his head and destroyed his soul.

Bang!

His body exploded, and his corpse fell to the ground. Akasha moved to grab the Sovereign spark, but a spatial tear appeared and carried it away. He frowned, feeling as if he touched upon something, but shrugged. An Intermediate Sovereign spark wasn't worth anything to him at the moment.

Akasha cast a glance at the remaining five Sovereigns. "Anything else to add?"

None of them spoke, terrified by Akasha's killing of the chicken to warn the monkeys. And the monkey was the first or second strongest of them!

None of them felt it more than Boson. Thinking back to how arrogant he was, Boson felt sweat drip down his brows. He didn't know why, but he had a feeling that Akasha was even more powerful the last time they met, despite the short time.

"From now on, Lesser Sovereigns can only fight against Lesser Sovereigns. An Intermediate Sovereign can only fight against an Intermediate Sovereign. Unless a Lesser Sovereign attacks an intermediate Sovereign, fights between those of different ranks are forbidden. Whoever breaks this rule, I will execute!"

None of the Sovereigns dared to meet Akasha's eyes. "Furthermore, the Infernal Realm will now be divided into seven territories: the Chaotic Sea, Redbud Continent, Karol Continent, Muja Continent, Bloodridge Continent, Blef Continent, Jadefloat, and Starmist Sea."

Under Akasha's eyes, the Sovereigns of Destruction divided the Infernal Realm. After this, Akasha finally felt it would be quiet. At least, until the elemental Sovereigns were born.

Then he invited them to Elysium in Atlantis City. Within, Akasha began to explain the benefits of faith. Of course, he made them swear to the Overgods not to divulge the secrets without his permission. After years of fighting, they already noticed that there was a difference in strength, and the reason was due to the difference in their understanding of the edicts.

After explaining, Akasha made them leave. He didn't explain the creation of spells. Although he would be doing all the hard work and giving them some benefits, the process significantly increased his comprehension. What were some minor benefits? He would be getting the lion's share anyways as to the High Sovereign of Destruction.

After everything settled down, Akasha began to create more spells. During this time, Akasha's Fiendcastle began to spread up throughout the Infernal Realm. And the concepts of cities and prefectures sprung up, with the rulers of cities being known as city lords and prefecture rulers known as Asuras.

Then the concept of one-star to seven-star fiends became known. During this time, the concept of fusing mysteries had not yet existed, so most of the strong were dominated by divine beasts, especially those with strong divine abilities.

Akasha had to sigh at this. When he was reading Coiling Dragon, divine abilities weren't prevalent, and fusing profound mysteries took precedence. But the current era was dominated by divine abilities. Seriously, almost every deity was a divine beast.

Still, none of this mattered to Akasha. He was still slowly creating the new spells while sending divine missionaries into the material planes. Along with the mysteries, the training method to become a magus and war magic were slowly spread.

Akasha wasn't slowly creating spells but also paid attention to the appearance of miraculous treasures. He didn't need them to refine artifacts, but he was paying attention to the Overgod missions. If any deity brought anything worth it, they could receive a drop of Sovereign's Might from Fiendcastle.

As someone with foreknowledge, how could Akasha not plan for one of the greatest trump cards in the Coiling Dragon universe? If possible, he wanted to complete it without anyone knowing. Then he could get a second one with no one the wiser.

As the Infernal Realm became more and more peaceful with the distribution of powers, so too did the prosperity. However, a million years later, the infernal welcomed an unwanted guest.

He was Moria, the Grand Sovereign of Fate.
