Ok just a warning, I will be changing the style of writing because I already did that with Slime Tamer and writing in two different styles sucks.
Also, I will finish posting what i have of Slime Tamer and then go on a break where i will make several chapters of all three books i and writing so that i can post at my leisure and take breaks as well. Slime goes up to chapter 17 so i will not post anything past that. Nor will Clockwork and Dungeons have any other updates for a while. Sry but i am not in a good mood because of stuff in real life that keeps unmotivating me so this is just an excuse for me to slow down a bit.
Anyway enjoy
----------------------------------------
It’s the end second week of month two and it finally appeared. The ship from South gate city has arrived.
What is in it? Passengers, workers, players and all other types of people.
In the time we have begun actually building I had sent my own clockwork robots as well as some newly made and repaired mechanic class robot's to remodel the wall next to the gate into docks.
The walls originally have corridors and so on inside so they simply need to be opened up. The walls normally have around 7 floors until it reaches the top. Most of the docks we make in any of the cities will be made on the sixth floor. We had only one proper dock made but that is enough to unload people. As for supplies we got none.
It was already known that we wouldn’t be getting supplies and we would need to get what we could on our own so that we could know what we have or not.
Anyway what was supplied was the immensely needed Fires Steel that was pre made in the dwarf’s blast furnace. As you might have guessed the fire steel wasn’t something that was going to stay hidden especially when we use it all the time.
The blast furnace itself underwent reforming to place the new steel to handle even greater heat.
The way that is done is different from what we do. In the massive blast furnace the iron and coal is dumped inside and lit like normal. Once it melts and mixes the fire elementals will fly into the furnace and start eating the flames that rise really high. Because this doesn’t interfere with the process it works nicely. When the will-o-wisps (yes fire elementals are wisps) fill up they multiply and make the new core that is then dropped into the mix and it goes on like that.
This industrial fire steel is better quality than our own mainly because of the process of making it is better and the blast furnace can achieve greater heat than my blast turtle could so the metals mix up better as they reach a very high liquid state and heat.
When the steel finally arrived I ordered the golems to use earth magic to raise a hill on the north side of town about 6 meters high and 10 wide. Then I told them to make a tunnel down and we started to carve out a hidden space for it. It would be really bad to have this blow up within the city bounds.
The tunnel travelled under the scrapyard wall and formed a large cavern below the forest.
I asked Delta to pass on a message to Gaia to make large copper pipes for the furnace.
The area was then expanded to fit all we needed. During the third week the cavern underwent serious industrialization. First Brock helped pass the pipes that arrived four days after I asked for them. The largest ones that would direct the dense gasses from the melting process were added and directed far away. It released the gases about a kilometer north outside of the walls and far away from the lakes so no monsters were around. Not like anything would attack something like that especially with the heat coming from it.
Through the course of the vents, we built and added some catalyst that cars normally have to filter the exhaust so that less harmful gases are released. This would help later on when the area is restored. It would do less hard even though it would be a pain.
In the cavern, the area was changed to match the exact same look as the forgery in the dwarf’s town. Three floors made of steel and the machinery and so on were all built as the blast furnace was rapidly built.
We were nearing the end of what we would do in this town. Completing the forge is the objective obviously.
Still because the players came it's not like things went perfectly calm.
You remember the clockwork animal’s right.
Well I had Fics declare as a city law that they weren’t to be hunted or anything.
It was all good and the animals and machines have begun adapting to the area. Those with animal looks preferred the outside area while the machines liked it inside the scrapyard.
Smaller critters like the rabbits lived where they could and because of their strangely fast breeding speed I was able to split them into an outside group and inside group.
Oh right the breeding is rather interesting. Like Delta explained before, the core of the animals will split after they eat enough and form a rather small copy that will float around inside the mother one. The rabbits in particular split 4 times before they get to building small infant rabbit bodies for their offspring.
It takes them about 5 hours of building parts to make a small body which is one fourth the adult’s size.
They then drop the tiny cores that are expelled with a small film around them and the rabbit pick it up in its jaws and sticks it into the body bringing it to life.
Then it’s just up to the babies to eat up and make its new body while growing its core.
This is the same for all the robots. The problem though is the very large and powerful bulls.
Up until now they haven’t split once and they eat a large amount of metal scrap I feed them and foliage from the growing plants outside.
Maybe because of the natural instinct of a cow that is normally born after about nine months it takes them a long time to prepare their child.
Normal calves are born very developed so maybe these bulls follow that principle and are making a large body for the calf that will be born.
Because I can get near them I could check it and I did indeed find a space they stored the parts which would be where a normal bull’s gut and other digestive organs would be.
Since they are unneeded the area is where the babies are built.
Now for the problem that arose with this slow building.
I was returning with the knights coming back from fighting the fish when I suddenly heard heavy gunfire and the sound of screeching metal which comes from metal hitting metal.
It sounded like a clockwork getting hit.
I tell everyone to pick up the pace but suddenly the sound from the bull clockwork animal yell and a loud crash reverberates through the area followed by some cheering.
I remember that there was a message from Fics that players had arrived.
My gears started rattling and when we arrived we found the only two bulls on the ground and two players working alongside several worker robots dismantling the bulls.

I couldn’t hold it and I walked over while quieting my footsteps.
When I was behind the guy I pull out my front arms shot gun and with the sound of the guns arming I aim it at them.
When they looked back the steam coming from them seem to stop.
”Tell me, did Fics’s law of not touching them not get through your metallic heads. These were the only ones of their kind. Give me one reason why I shouldn’t kill you and stick you into a ball shaped robot without arms.” I said through a text to the idiots.
‘Who...the hell are you...and you can’t attack us, it’s against the law!’ The larger knight yelled out.
‘Unfortunately for you brats he can. There is actually a law that you can’t hunt these robots because they are few in number at this moment. Also, he is the breeder of these creatures and isn’t very fond of others.’ replied the knight captain I had repaired.
‘No way! BUT!...’ he said and stopped because of what I did.
BANG
I shot one shell right next to their heads making them rattled as they lost control of their circuits.
”Arrest them and remove their weapons as penalty. Keep them in jail for one week but don’t return the weapons, put them to good use for the guards! Also take the robots and put them to good use as well.” I sent the message before putting away my guns.
The knights saluted and restrained the two and taking them away while the robot's had their signal overridden and taken to the be remodeled into some other form of worker.
I sigh and look at the bulls on the ground. Both were beat up but I could see movement inside. I walk over and remove a few plates only to find the cores perfectly intact. The two main ones as well as the new ones growing were all right.
I had Yasha come with a few mechanic robot and repair several broken parts that were smashed in. We remove the part and feed it to the core along with several other scraps that then spits back a new part. Like that we repair to functioning order the robot. We lift them up as they go back only. They are still badly beaten but they are functioning for now.
It was also then that both of then began a strange series of movements. After a bit the belly area broke off releasing the robot inside holding both the parent and child core.
‘Hoo! So the body can hold both adult and child. In other words the body was either a replacement or the new child’s body.’ The captain says.
I see the small arm gear I made moving around connecting everything and soon the robot stood up. What surprised us was that it was much more agile than the old body. Taking a closer look you can tell there were several upgrades in its design which pretty much says that the species as a whole evolved a bit.
Being smaller it could hop around a bit and began running around and eating rocks and foliage to start growing more.
I could only sigh and then order one of the knights to remain in the area to make sure the players didn’t hunt them.
I then went and reinforced the law by showing the players being dismantled being left without a single weapon on.
This was a warning to everyone as the next who do so without us permitting would be shot on sight.
A message appeared for everyone that showed the new law.
By order of both the player constructing the town of East Gate City as well as the Mayor Fics Iron. Hunting of the Clockwork animals is strictly forbidden and should you be found doing so, you will be shot on sight. Intimacy with the town will also drop and the PK mark will be placed on you.
I smile and nod at this and soon leave to continue building more needed parts of town.
By the end of the month just as we had estimated, the blast furnace was complete and the quest updated.
Mission: Four Gate Expansion
You have successfully set up East Gate town and with it a new port and zone of exploration has opened up for the nation.
Success requirements: Successful settling
North Gate: No
East Gate: Yes
West Gate: No
Difficulty: D
Failure: All villagers die, You die.
Reward: ???
I smile and nod at this before letting out a sigh. Two months to finish one town. From the forum that was after the update, we are the quickest to make a town within the scrapyard. Now for outside the scrapyard it would take about as long as we took.
It might be because we are at the edge so the amount of scraps here is much less. Also this gate had much less dungeons but a lot stronger monsters.
Speaking of them, the fish men have gotten greatly weaker because the water purity isn’t proper for them. On the last week they did an all-out attack but we repelled them which killed a large number and what remained didn’t survive with so few number and they ended up dying out. That said, the fish men we bred in fresh water evolved into less monstrous ones and are currently starting to occupy the lake. The fish in the lakes did adapt though. That was the strange part. They adapted REALLY fast. The main reason we wagered was that the eggs being always in the river made it easy for them being born in cleaner water with each new batch.
The lizard men were different. They adapted rather easily to the cleaner water. We found 10 of the springs so the quality of the water was really great now compared to when we arrived. It also seems they have a greater immunity to the poisonous water but can easily live without it.
With this any great dangers were quelled.
My crew, already seeing the quests update, had begun to pack up and we were going to leave.
Since the GM’s, bulk and victor can log in we were leaving today but first. I collected my animals.
Like hell I was leaving without all the races.
Not like I would take every last one.
I caught two of all of them.
With the bulls also having released its offspring I collected two of them and stored them within Brock in a barn area he made. We now had double the space compared to before since the whale grew a lot.
When we finally finished up we finally leave.
We say goodbye to everyone that helped out and warned them to keep watch of the animals until they can survive by themselves.
The knights acknowledged and saluted and with that we leave the city heading back to South Gate city to pick up the next group so we can go to West Gate nest.
