Just a notice. I have entered the Steampunk Fantasy November contest with a Oneshot fic.

The town has grown a lot since the rogues first arrived. I could say that organic rogues are just as interesting as the clockwork ones.
The first reason is because what I could only call a federal agent from the real world came to me and asked to speak with me about the stealth gear and the humans own version of the dwarf armor.
It was very bulky in design since it was modeled after dwarfs but what he wanted was a small suit that was less bulky to match the design. He also wanted the stealth gear to be released to general public.
Venus was with us already in his old body. He didn’t want to allow the stealth gear to be released as basic tech since it takes years to build the skills of an assassin so he was heavily against it and from his reasoning, so was I.
What we did instead was try and make a equipment to help. Boots that would help lessen the sound you make. We made them some daggers and so on but we aren’t going deep with our tech since we have no real link to make me do more than a few pieces of equipment from public tech.
He wasn’t very happy that we didn’t give more tech but I didn’t care.
The man didn’t complain though since I was already famous for having the highest military power as stated by the ranking, though I wonder how many people don’t post their ranking.
By the time we had made enough that could be spread and generalized as a basic gear for rogues the man left.
What I did was take Nova to practice with her gauntlets. It seems the speed and fighting style was far beyond what she is actually able to do.
Right now we are trying to get her accustomed to the weapons. The gauntlets fires off a very powerful shotgun round and she has to learn boxing at high speeds to use her body properly.
To do that I made some obstacle courses for speed training.
It's one thing letting a computer program to help you fire a gun, it's a completely different story when you have to fight close up. A hardcore game like this will probably not have a system assist besides the feeling of something showing you basic things to do.
I feel this was the best thing for her as well. Who knows if doing this obstacle course would heal her real walking ability in real life.
Obviously for her to get used to so much speed in her small body I had her set herself to Gear 1 where she was slowest.
I first had her move around as she liked. Jump, run, hop, various types of movements both in human form and in rabbit.
All the while I was analyzing her movement pattern. Obviously while doing so I kept track of how well her body moved so that future improvements can be made.
After three days of analysis of her movements I actually got a skill.

[Tr]
AnalysisBasic Level 1You are able to correctly analyse someone's movements when looking from far and understand part of what is going on.
You can also see a small bit of the trajectory of something moving long distance.
Further effects unlocked at higher levels
Skill has symbiosis relations with clockwork targeting system and will have improved effects when under its influence.
1% improved perception when analyzing the movements of any object.
1% improved perception when analyzing the movements of any person.
0.5% improving understanding of what is analyzed.
It's a rather useful skill for sure and that it works better with the targeting system makes it even better.
Under the system the effects seem to double and I feel a small slow down effect in my perception but only a very small margin like a second or two. Still understanding the analysed data I pick up from Nova seems to remain the same at 0.5%. This is actually the first time I've seen a skill give such a small increase at level 1. Maybe it's because of how good the skill is.
I can guess that the future effects means use in combat since I can't use it when fighting.
To properly train this skill I would need to analyze moving objects or people and understand what they were doing.
So to this degree my obstacle course somewhat evolved into a training field of the speed type fighters.
Along with Venus who was overseeing the training of the rogue class I helped out. I watched him as he corrected the newbie class and as I connected his instructions to the data I analyzed I found out that as long as I have the data and get someone to properly teach me what was happening it would satisfy the skills conditions.
Anyways, about a week into the new month and the Tanks finally arrived.
I can say I was rather happy to see all three of those rust buckets because I knew how reliable their power was getting.
Gaia has been planning on making silver wiring for magic weapons for these guys. We were obviously not getting stuff like what Constructs have but it would be plenty to arm these tanks with them so that they would become more efficient to clear out boss monsters.
They were the Clockwork Nations only Tanks at this moment and because they spend so much time on missions to clear out boss monsters their already high levels don't stop rising.
The King Kong trio still only have reinforced steel bodies though. I really felt it was severely lacking in power for such a force. As the top powers they needed more strength but it seems Gaia knew what I was thinking before I thought of it because it seems with the Tanks came half a ton of Silver wire.
I myself have wondered why not mythril but it was easy to understand after asking Delta.
"Why not Mythril? Obviously because only Elves know how to make them. Still what I know of it is that Mythril is a magically imbedded Silver Alloy so using silver which is more abundant is more practical since you can find it easier even if the processing method is tedious." is what he said.
This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there.
It did make it easier to understand though. If Mythril was silver imbedded with mana then after a long time then Silver wire would turn into Mythril if left circulating mana.
Anyway, with the wires it seems Gaia had expected me to make weapons for them.
Still for monster sized tanks like them and our current tech we have that I have shared with Gaia, I can only think of two things to add on.
First would be to remake their arms into Shift Gear weapons. The first would bet regular fists with Pressure fist but instead of steam I think utilizing the Sylph cores to pressure air could be a good substitute and the other would be a turret hidden in the shoulder that I think I could make a railgun by utilizing the silver wires and Lightning Core crystals to power.
It would take time and tests to set it up but during that time the tanks can go destroying the nearby dungeons and its residents.
With them there we can get further in and attack more than the small number we normally do.
The target of doing this slowly is that we trash hoards of them and pull all the bodies out to keep them from gathering it back and making more but there was a second reason.
Would you want to constantly gather garbage? Nope no thanks, so we remove all the robot bodies, or as many as we can, and force the collectors to constantly clear more and more of the area while I scavenge their tech.
At this moment I would say I have scanned enough of the collectors that I could manufacture them in mass. The drones are harder and more complex like anything as big as or larger than human size.
The one I most drolled over were the mini boss.
I didn't want it destroyed so the tanks held it down instead and I went in personally and deactivate it by removing the motherboard in its head.
Got me a nice 5 levels because it was so high leveled.
We dragged the monstrosity out and after some tinkering and adding a receiver and transmitter it activated.
I started scanning all of its system data from possible weapons and all that. Not much besides some good ideas.
Now in terms of size it was just a bit smaller then the tanks.
I was hoping to mess around with this thing later on to make a tank but since there seems to be only one of these in the dungeon I refrain and instead put it as a guard dog at the entrance incase the boss decided to leave.
Since the tanks came it's almost the end of the month making three months already we were here. The dungeon was a massive setback and the monsters in the desert even more.
Once the first worm monster appeared it seems to have brought other creatures with it.
Most if not all of them use the sands to ambush. Sand snakes that are called, Desert Basilisk, giant scorpions that can use wind magic to ride the desert winds, Air Scorpion. From the sky came Ferla Vulture which are monster sized vultures 5 meters tall with a twelve meter wingspan and the looks of a regular vulture but the strength of a level 230 monster they are.
This city was serious in a high level zone and I think we will be stuck here until we can set up a strong defense system to protect it. The tanks were currently our main defense which kept us safe from all these monsters.
I will probably be forced to leave several kinds of tech like the drone built turrets and cannons to fight them off. We also need to develop anti air weapons which I currently can't make since I am under heavy production mode making the Tanks weapons.
It's much harder to make massive shift gears for large robots then it is for small ones. And adding a factor I have zero experience with doesn't help. Seriously adding the silver wires is throwing me off big time.
Truthfully I want each of the Tanks arms to transform into a huge mana cannon but the amount of mana and the materials needed to make metal that can handle that power is monstrously hard to make.
Simply put, my machine gun construction skill is two low. I don't make enough of them so my skill isn't even past basic level.
Those guys from the warring period sure were amazing for making Delta completly like this. He says he has Shift Gears for his weapons and he also has what I am trying to make but will not give me the blueprints.
It's almost the end of the month again and in one more month it will be one year since we have been in this game. Though that is only two and a half months more or less.
I'm sure I can easily live as a mechanic already with all I learned. In free time I normally have books on many mechanical parts, books on forging and making parts.
I really want to leave soon and finish up this quest and leave soon. I can't work on personal stuff with so much danger or prying eyes near.
Even with Brock gradually getting bigger as we levels up his body.
Speaking of levels my crew have all jumped past level 100 since the tanks arrived since we can help kill more powerful monsters while they tank them.
Now as for the arms of the tanks, I gave up halfway since I can't think of any way with my current knowledge and instead turned my attention to city defense. Still with magic weaponry in mind I bring in several turrets drones and begin upgrading them to hold the wires and core crystals. For a pure blast of mana they need all four types of elementals crystals and a mana core crystal. I build a few new drones and change the design a bit to fit them in.
I finish with two days before the end of the month and set up the first mana turret for testing.
I build them piece by piece and as the double barrel cannon with barrels made of enhanced fire steel with large cables connecting the cores I sit a robot in the seat ready to fire.
I choose a random long range rock in the distance and charge the machine. With fingers crossed I pull the trigger and at once from the barrel a barrage of mana balls shot out at intense velocity.
I smile at the success and it was only then that it clicked. I face palmed myself for not realizing before. Shift gear can be made with drones. All I need to do is make them the building blocks and once it's been built they don't separate without a specific sequence code I set up.
I grinned wide, those tanks are about to become monstrosities.
