Goburu was once an emotionless and apathetic child. Keeping only a bright and cheerful facade in front of other people. Never capable of trusting anyone after knowing the truth of his origin.
When he started school, Goburu saw what they deemed ‘normal’. One of these ‘normal’ things caught his interest, and that is anime. Adults deemed them falsehoods, and it struck a chord with him. Everything about him is a lie; what would another lie on top of it do?
The day he watched anime, his life changed. Reality looks colorful, musical, and enchanting after that. But what turned him to the current Goburu, was the moment he saw ‘those’ characters.
The “Chuuni”, who rejects reality, acts tough, and is delusional; The “Yandere”, with their obsession; The "Battle Junkies," with their love for combat; The “Otakus," with their undying passion for anime, manga, games, and light novels; the “Psychos”, who did whatever they wanted; and the “Geniuses," who employ such cold and calculating tactics and strategies.
With the intent to create characters like them someday, Goburu became who he is today.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
After everything had sunk in, a burst of deranged and uncontrollable laughter boomed out of him. Madness emanates from every fiber of his being. He’s different from how he was a bit ago. Yet, this feels more genuine, like this is who he really is. But he wasn’t like this before.
『Finally, the vow I made could be fulfilled』, he said, remembering his promise towards himself and the events leading to that fateful day, and how he developed an obsession—NOT to role-play but to PERSONIFY the characters of his burned manga and destroyed light novel.

Years have passed, but Goburu still enjoys watching anime like a normal otaku. He also discovered manga, and whenever a new volume comes out, he buys one. Everything would stay the same if only he stayed satisfied by watching anime and reading manga.
In his desire to show his gratitude, he tried to make a manga. But once his mother found out about this, the pages where he drew and poured his heart out met their fiery end. Yet this won’t be the end. To teach him a lesson, they beat his hands up but not to an irreparable extent.
Yet this didn’t stop him. This time, he wrote a light novel after coming across one. Fate is cruel indeed, however.
Even though he published it on the internet, all of it was for naught. His body was left bruised and battered, and they broke his heart into pieces. And his mother rendered the gadgets that helped him accomplish his goals unusable and turned to dust.
The only thing that he wanted to do was create a character with qualities that made him feel a shiver in his spine. But, EUREKA! A realization struck Goburu. If it is impossible to make it in fiction, then how about in reality? If that is the case, HE WILL BECOME THE CHARACTERS HE WAS UNABLE TO CREATE, he swore deep in his heart.

For many years, blood, sweat, and tears have to be shed just to reach what could possibly be achieved on Earth. However, it is not enough; the vow he made at that time still haunts Goburu. But that ends now with his skill in 《Acting》.
"…Haah~"
『It's been a while since I truly laughed from the bottom of my heart』, was his honest thought as a warm smile naturally formed on his lips. This surprised him. He put a hand on his mouth in shock to ascertain if he truly had done so.
His eyes turned cold and calculating as he opened his 《Status》 once again.
『 There are so many things I would like to point out after seeing this, but, *sigh*, I think that would make me an ingrate, and I'm not like that.』
With his personality, Goburu always finishes the less important work first. It is efficient since it takes only a moment of his time. It also gives him ample time for those that truly matter.
By using the auxiliary skill 《Script》, he sees more information about the title 《Blessed Hero and the skill 《Acting》.
………
……
…
In summary, before Goburu could use aether, he first needed to learn how to use 《Ki》, or 《Soul Energy》, as it is necessary to control 《Aether》. Without it, the mortal mind and body could not control and bear the immense amount of energy that it holds. In the meantime, his title is basically useless.
Next is his 《Acting》skill. After reading additional information about his skills, he found out that there were still others that he did not see with just a cursory glance. He went ahead and used some of it to shed light on some things.
"《Props》【Ki Manipulation manual】"
Heh Goburu smirked because he had no idea if a Ki manipulation manual existed. It also appeared with information that seemed credible enough to him. But, wanting to be thorough enough, as it does not hurt to be careful, he used time.
"《Role-play》, Unseal the 【Evil Eye of Judgment】"
"Kukuku! " he chuckled in delight. With this, Goburu had finally “unsealed” his 【Evil Eye of Judgment】. Performing the same pose he had done just earlier, a few things had just changed. There's the unmistakable glow of his right eye that changed to gold and the fierce smile on his face.
"「By the power bestowed unto this one, sift through falsities and unveil the truth. 【Evil Eye of Judgment】!」"
With that eerily glowing right eye of his and a sonorous voice full of passion and conviction, he chanted as he received the answer to his doubts.
«Result of 【Judgment】: The information on the item Ki manipulation Manual is proven to be true.»
Now that the results are in, his fears that he had to have the knowledge to create something with props have been laid to rest. With growing expectations for his skills, Goburu tries another one that he hopes to have.
"《Role-Play》【 Sigil of Infinite Dimensional Storage】."
To ascertain if it really was there, he unbuttoned his shirt to look at his chest, where he saw a sigil shaped like a crescent moon with a short and long hand to signify time and stars for space.
『《Store》』As he said this in his mind, a UI like his stats panel appeared in front of him. Using his thoughts to store his Ki manipulation manual, it disappeared, and an image much like the manual appeared on the UI with a number 1 signifying its quantity.
"《Role-play》Conceal【Sigil of Infinite Dimensional Storage】."
As a finishing touch, he concealed the sigil with his 《Role-Play》, as a finishing touch, he concealed the sigil with his "Role-Play" skill.
There are two reasons why Goburu did these things: First, to ensure that he would not lose his items. He decided to use a sigil and placed it on his chest. Rather than using his skills to create a dimensional bag or placing the sigil in his hands since the former could be stolen while the other could be cut off in combat,
And second, because Goburu just wanted to have one. If someone searches for types of chuunibyou, Evil Eye Chuunibyou includes those with powers ‘sealed’ in their hands. And for him, he wanted to have one on his chest as well as on his hands.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
"《Role-Play》. Bestow the power of the 【Abyss】 upon my hands.”
As if on cue, a creepy and foreboding shadow appeared below his feet. It is so deep and dark that it threatens to swallow him whole, but Goburu just maintains his cool. Not really; he looks like an overexcited, starry-eyed kid on Christmas, eager to open his gifts.
When it finally stopped expanding, tendrils of darkness rose as though to trap him but stopped in mid-air, then lunged at him. But at the last second, it rapidly formed a vortex and coalesced into his hands. Once a magic circle had formed, the shadow beneath his feet was already gone.
『Cool.』Looking at his hands in delight with glittering eyes and a wide smile, that may be one word, but it contains a myriad of emotions. But being such a greedy man, Goburu has no time to savor his feelings as he uses his skills again.
"《Props》, 【Personal Assistant】, and 【Cursed Staff of the Sly Fox】"
With this, Goburu is now confident enough to tackle anything that might happen.
【Personal Assistant】 could be said to be an AI assistant with no physical body that would provide assistance and access any information from the skill,《Script》. While the 【Cursed Staff of the Sly Fox】 looks like an old, rusty staff, as made obvious by its name, it is a 《Cursed Weapon》. Able to change to any size and shape, only someone like Goburu, who mastered many different styles of armed combat, could use these.
『Everyone knows that the more taboo something is, the more stimulating it is… Was it?』 It is indeed stimulating—a little too much to be honest. With more forbidden power that he acquires, the Goburu's face becomes flushed and his smile even more euphoric. If one is familiar with hentai, the things he's missing for a complete 'ahegao' look are heart-shaped eyes and an outstretched tongue.
Then, as if to interrupt his euphoria, "Buhiiiiiiiiii!"" and faint sounds of combat could be heard somewhere in the forest.
"Well, what should I do?" he wondered, putting a finger on his chin and tilting his head. Although he had already decided what he should do.
『【P.A.】,【Immaterial Full Body Mirror】』
At once, a voice of indeterminable gender answered in his head. This proves that the skill Props could also provide something ethereal since the skill considered it 'portable'.『It might as well be anything 'material' or 'immaterial' since I could even turn into a giant if I wanted to with《Role-Play》 and produce a castle with 《Props》.』
Then, as he had requested, an immaterial full-body mirror appeared hovering a foot or two away from him. With this, Goburu finally saw his appearance.
Glossy pine green hair, lime-colored eyes, long and pointed ears—a so-so face since he's not handsome to charm women with a glance. But not so plain as either, just acceptable. He also had a body with a gymnast's physique.
It won’t be long before it all changes, though.
『Information about the commotion in this forest』
※※※
Peace has been restored to the world of Arentha. A year has passed without the Evil Gods initiating another war. Or so it seems to be. In the absence of a mutual foe, mortals clash with each other again. This fact appears to stay true even in other worlds.
(United Nations of Rathni, Easternmost Region, a forest in the Leasaitolia Kingdom)
Once again, the powerless commoners are those who became the victims in these wars.. Either they take part in the fighting or they lose their jobs. There are men who resemble bandits among the victims. Who went to the forest near their village to hunt for prey, a boar.
However, the huge 2 meter boar they were hunting escaped. In its desperate attempt, the wounded boar had gone to the forest road. And on this same road was a carriage containing a princess escorted by her knights.
"Protect her Highness!" shouted one of the young knights.
Their fast response was commendable. Due to inexperience however, there were injuries and deaths. Still, they could kill the beast. Their moment of weakness was exploited by assassins dressed as “bandits”, preventing the end.
Suddenly, knights died as arrows covered the skies out of nowhere. The “bandits” were quick and silent as they attacked the remaining dumbfounded knights. Two battles in quick succession have drained the escorts of their stamina, preventing a proper defense. Within a few minutes, all of them would die. Hoping for something to turn the tides of battle, the knights prayed that “she” would help them.
*BAM!!!*
The carriage door came flying as a tall lady wearing knight’s armor exited the now doorless carriage. Despite standing alone at the front, the woman made the "Bandits" retreat in fear. She completely dominated her enemies without having to do anything.
“Freyr-dono...” someone whispered, the color returning to their pale faces
"Stand down," she told the young knights, looking around. Their eyes filled with trust towards her, knowing she could handle it alone as she stepped forward.
Mara Freyr. This ordinary-looking brown haired tall woman in her late twenties would not look out of place in an office. But make no mistake, this female knight holds the title “Leasaitolia’s Strongest Knight”. Capable of decimating mortal Brigade-sized knights on her lonesome, she got her title at her first sortie at sixteen.
“Hmph. Come.” Looking disinterested, she taunted her enemies.
Knowing their inevitable loss with her presence, five "bandits" went to distract her. Sacrificing the others, the enemy prioritized the mission to kill the princess. Before their allies bypassed the surrounding knights, the “bandits“ who were supposed to attack the carriage died. The surviving ones could only stare in shock at their comrade’s dead bodies. Unaware of their vulnerability, they perished achieving nothing.
Without even breaking a sweat, Mara killed all the “bandits”. “Pathetic,” she said in a derisive smirk. With her back to the knights, they remained oblivious to this side of hers.
"Mara, are you done with the cleaning?” As though killing people and performing domestic duties were the same, a voice inquired. The voice belongs to a young girl with a bell-like voice, speaking in such a cold and haughty tone. After recognizing who had spoken, the knights grimaced. Rurisanca Leasaitolia, the name of the princess they had to protect, though unwillingly.
Kneeling in devotion before her liege, the female knight reported, “Yes, Your Highness. I’m done cleaning the garbage aiming for your life.” The other knights also showed their commitment to serving the realm even though they were hesitant to do so to the princess.
Throughout the kingdom, the princess is regarded as ruthless and oppressive. Her notoriety is known even in rural areas. This is why it is even more confusing to them. "Why does Leasaitolia's Strongest treat her with such respect?" is the query on every knight's mind. If they would realize that “Birds of a feather flock together”.
Then there was the sound of a twig snapping. Unlike earlier, the novice knights have not relaxed their guard and have taken up fighting positions to safeguard the princess. However, it is unnecessary because these are just hunters that the boar escaped from.
“A-a-ano, c-could you… please give us some of the b-b-boar's meat… k-k-knight-sama? ”One of the scared, stuttering, bandit-looking hunters inquired. This is foolish; they were aware. Not only did their quarry flee, but it also attacked passersby in the forest. The knights are unlikely to let this go because they sustained casualties in the boar's attack. If it hadn't been for that, they could have mounted a proper defense against the assassins. But they would rather do this than let their families die of hunger.
While the princess, living up to her reputation, merely ordered "Bring them here," the knights remained motionless. They can't let this incident be "water under the bridge". The hunters needed to recognize that they couldn't claim the boar's meat because they allowed their prey to escape. However, it does not mean that they will blame the innocent hunters for the deaths of their comrades.
“What are you doing, fools!” Mara’s voice boomed. “Her Highness has given her orders!” The knights moved as instructed while muttering apologies in their hearts. They were aware of the nasty princess's intentions.
“We didn’t do anything wrong!”
“Please, let us go!”
“I have a wife and child!”
But despite their cries for mercy, the knights ignored them. No matter how ferociously the hunters struggle against the knights, there is just not a chance that the average man could triumph over the skilled but inexperienced knights. The hunters were brought before Princess Rurisanca after being bound with ropes at their hands and feet.
“You’re bandits right?”
“N-no!”
“W-w-w-we’re just hunting!”
“Who gave you the order to assault me, then?” The princess questioned, cocking her head in a lovely way, yet it is anything but. These tough-looking men are chilled to the bone by her words and the sneer on her face. As they stared in terror at the girl, who was as young as their children, the idea "She's a demon" entered their minds. Princess Rurisanca's question does not ask if they're involved in the attack. She was sure that they weren't, but she was determined to keep the new toy she had found. Like an “innocent” child who caught a “cute” butterfly in their grasp, she intends to “play” with them before they “go”. Once she loses interest in them, she’ll say “bye-bye” as they “leave”.
“Gods, please save us!”
“I-it was an accident!”
『They’re so cute~.』She watched the "toys" wailing like babies while grinning cruelly. Then glanced at the knights and said, "Hmm, it looks like they're trained enough not to betray their employer. Make them sing.” The knights understood what would happen if they didn't obey her commands. They moved to follow orders with a sorrowful heart. When the hunters saw this, all they could do was pray, "Gods in heaven, help us."
Then, between the knights and the shackled men, a dazzling golden light bridging heaven and earth suddenly emerged. The knights stepped back in surprise as everyone stared up in disbelief. A person in odd clothing may be seen just below the trees, inside the heavenly light that is gently descending. They are all unaware of what it is.
However, these things are typical for some Earthlings. The androgynous person with delicate features and blazing red hair. He has a surgical eyepatch covering his left eye, and his right eye is the color of molten gold. wearing a black outer jacket with numerous pockets and a large hood over a white inner jacket, along with black tech leggings and boots.
As his boots touched the ground, everyone felt overwhelming pressure from him. In contrast to those with evil hearts, such as the princess and her female knight, the hunters had it the easiest.
“My name is Fukunaga Minori, and I am the Chuuni God’s vessel! I'll let you mortals call me Lord Abyss Priest! Be thankful!” He/she said while posing with his/her left hand in a peace sign to the side of his/her left eye. "Be at ease, you'll be home with your families soon," he/she said with a saintly grin.
God(?) has descended ready to punish evildoers.
