'It wouldn't do for this body to get destroyed,' Librarian mused. With her thoughts, she opened a portal to the "Celestial Records" and walked inside. The "Celestial Records" were a vast repository of knowledge, housing the secrets of countless worlds and civilizations. And the keeper of this repository was none other than Librarian herself.
At the center of the grand hall, towering shelves stretched endlessly, filled with ancient scrolls and books. There, her original body rested, drooling atop a wide, open book. She sat on one of the chairs beside her original body and closed her eyes. When she opened her eyes once again, she found herself back in her original body.
"My dear servant, thank you for letting me borrow your physical form," Librarian said, her voice echoing through the hall. "However, if I fought the twins seriously in your body, it would have caused irreversible damage. Now rest, I have twins I had to attend to." With a flick of her wrist, the Librarian opened another portal, this time back to the Dark Domain created by the twins.
Back at the Dark Domain, her other sisters, Berserker, Fauna, and Mechanic, were doing their best to evade the relentless attacks of the twins. On the other side of the battlefield, the darkness radiating from the twins was now reaching proportions comparable to those "entities" themselves. 'Not good,' thought Librarian, realizing that the twins' power was growing exponentially.
'If this continues,' the Librarian feared, 'the "entities" will finally find the twins. I managed to hide them by fusing the two of them and making them live normal lives. Every two decades, I erased their memories, installed fake identities, and relocated them to different parts of the world. But now, with their power surging, it won't be long before the "entities" detect their presence and track them down.' Librarian knew that she had to stop the twins from further developing their powers in order to protect them from the Evil Gods.
"Librarian, why don't you just let us keep you and our other sisters in this domain?" Miyabi asked, her voice filled with confidence—confidence that Librarian was weaker than them. "Right, right! Miyabi is right! If you stay here, we could play and play forever!" Mizuki chimed in, her eyes gleaming with madness and excitement.
"It seems that the two of you forgot one important fact," the Librarian responded calmly, her eyes fixed on the twins. Putting her hands on her hips, she declared, "There's no little sister even better than their own big sister!"
That said, compared to the twins, who had the power to control the darkness and anything associated with it, the Librarian's own abilities might seem insignificant. The skill "Celestial Records", as she called them, contained knowledge and power from all realms and dimensions, giving her access to numerous divine weapons, ancient spells, and sacred artifacts. However, her skill had a hidden aspect unknown to everyone but her, and that is what she would use to turn the tables in her favor.
"Akashic Records," Librarian began. "Compendium of all existence, past, present, and future. Open your doors to the keeper of knowledge, and grant me access to the secrets and wisdom hidden within." As those words left her lips, a door materialized before her, adorned with intricate symbols and glowing with a mysterious energy. "I summon you, Twin Gods of Chuunibyou of the future!"
And the doors slowly creaked open, revealing two female figures standing on the other side. One with black raven hair and the other with flowing silver locks. They both had eye patches, the left one covering their left eye and the right one covering their right eye. Their exposed eyes shimmered with a mesmerizing combination of vibrant colors, as if reflecting the vast depths of the universe itself.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
Both of them wore the same elegant, flowing robes adorned with intricate patterns and symbols. The fabric seemed to ripple with an otherworldly energy, further emphasizing their mystical presence. As they stepped forward, they both declared in unison, ""Kon-chuuni! We're the Twin Gods of Chuunibyou!""
The silver-haired god stepped forward and posed with her right hand on a V-sign by her eye and shouted, "I'm the Big Sista, I'm Miyabi!" The black-haired god, standing beside her, adopted the same pose but used her left hand and exclaimed, "I'm not the Li'l Sista, I'm Mizuki!"
""Together... We're the Twin Gods of Chuunibyou!"" Kaboom! A cloud of colorful smoke exploded around them, revealing their true forms. Miyabi's silver hair shimmered with an otherworldly glow, while Mizuki's black hair seemed to absorb the surrounding light.
Yes, these two were the future versions of the twins, Miyabi and Mizuki. By using the Celestial Records' hidden aspect, "Akashic Records", Librarian was able to summon the twins' future selves from a different timeline. As the saying goes, "Fight fire with fire", Librarian believed that the future versions of Miyabi and Mizuki would possess the power to defeat their present selves and prevent the catastrophic event that was foreseen in the Akashic Records.
""That's cheating!"" complained the Present Miyabi and Mizuki. "No, no, it's not, you know," replied Future Miyabi with a mischievous smile. "We're too perfect to be defeated by Librarian, isn't that right?" which earned a nod from the Present Miyabi, Present Mizuki, and Future Mizuki, while Librarian scrunched up her face in frustration.
"The time has come for your future self to beat you up!" Future Miyabi exclaimed. "If you had grievances with that, don't worry; in the future you'll have the chance to beat your past selves as well. It's all part of the time-traveling fun!" Future Mizuki chimed in, giving Present Miyabi and Mizuki a playful wink.
"Hmph! Don't just because you're our future selves mean you're stronger than us," Present Miyabi retorted, crossing her arms defiantly. "We'll show you that we can handle anything you throw at us!" Present Mizuki added confidently, a determined look in her eyes.
"Hoh, we shall see about that," Future Miyabi replied with a mischievous smile. "Miyabi, let's show our past selves what we're made of." Future Mizuki nodded in agreement, her excitement evident. "Absolutely! Let's give them a taste of the incredible power we've gained over the years," she declared, ready to prove their strength to their past selves.
""---"" Both Present Miyabi and Present Mizuki had heard whatever their future versions had uttered, but it was as though something was preventing them from fully comprehending the meaning behind those words.
And then, in the next moment, the twin goblins of darkness died at the hands of their future selves.

"Haah, thanks to you two, Future Miyabi and Future Mizuki," Librarian said with a sigh, "we're able to purify the darkness that had accumulated inside those twins."
"Nah, don't sweat it, Librarian," Future Miyabi replied with a smile. "Being what we are, it's too much to even expect a Multiversal Administrator like yourself to defeat our past selves. Even your superior, that War God, would have had a hard time with them." Future Mizuki chimed in, "Exactly. And even if by some miracle you or that War God were able to defeat them, with the skill Everlasting Darkness, they would have just resurrected again and even more sinister than before."
Future Miyabi continued, "The only way to truly defeat our past selves is to use the future version of our Purgatorial Darkness skill to erase the darkness that resides within them. So when they revive inside the Celestial Records, they would resurrect only as strong as ordinary beings without any darkness inside them."
""And with our job done, bye bye!"" The Twin Gods of Chuunibyou stepped back to the doors of Akashic Records and returned to the future. Meanwhile, Librarian watched their receding backs with a mix of relief and curiosity. 'I wonder how those twins became even more powerful in the future.' She thought of the twins that would most likely be waiting for her back in the Celestial Records, filled with complaints.
'Their powers originated from those "entities", but to think that they would become even more absurd in the future is quite headache-inducing." The Librarian knew that the twins had always possessed extraordinary abilities, even when they were still on Earth. "Perhaps they might even exceed those "entities" themselves one day," she mused, contemplating the limitless potential of the twins.
As she prepared to face their inevitable complaints, she couldn't help but feel a mix of anticipation and trepidation for what the future held for them. 'Hopefully, giving them access to Earth's manga, light novels, animes, and other forms of entertainment that they love so much would help prevent them from sulking.'
