It seems that I'm a child in an orphanage now.
I don't exactly know why or how I'm here but the angel told me that I'd be sent to a different world.
Though, as far as I can see, there's not much abnormalities around so I wonder what's the difference here if I was actually transferred away from Earth. It's hard to tell because of the location I'm in. Being in a small town somewhere in the middle of a forest is not really advantageous.
Looking at the mirror: I can see a blonde girl somewhere around the age of 6. Her name is Meyraqyrofy/Mrqfy, or at least that's what people call her. She has short hair and... rabbit ears, I think? Noone else has them, but noone seem to mind either. ...I doubt this is the only difference between earth and this world, though.
It'd be nice to have rabbit-eared people back there, but on second thought, nevermind.
At first, I was mesmerized, then I realized that this girl was actually me! It's crazy how a British man can turn into such a beautiful girl overnight. It really baffles me!
Anyways, the funding here was low due to recent wars and diseases, so I assume that I'm somewhere in a dark era? The technology we have is not so modern too, so that provides further evidence for my theory.
It's troublesome here, as we don't really have much to eat. Most of our crops have been eaten away by something 'not so human' and business is pretty bad here due to the geological position.
The caretakers were not properly fed too, so you'd expect the children to have less nutrition.
*Thud!*
"What?! What do you mean our funding has been cut off?! Who signed the contract?!"
One day, the director, Ell Tarn, was pissed off by how the capital has been treating us recently. Apparently, our funding has been cut off due to a 'more important project' taking place in the capital.
In other words, the government officials sent us a letter formally telling us to go rot in this town.
"I won't take this! I'll go over there myself and win back our rights! Without me, everyone here will die!" Ell yelled at the only person before his position. "This is my responsibility. Contact the local lord now, I have some connections with him so this should be easy... The only problem is how long until we get there. God, this is such a mess!" He shouts, slamming the table again.

Me and some other kids looking through the window scattered once their conversation was over.
A few days passed by after that incident, and we never saw Ell again.
Rumors say he encountered a problem somewhere along his way out of the town.
Many days of starvation followed after, and I eventually got sick of it.
I've already anticipated his failure and the downfall of this town, so I left with a sack of potatoes, or whatever they're called in this world.
I followed the main road that Ell used to head to the capital. There weren't much problems and the forest was pretty calm around me. I just hope wolves or coyotes don't come out to eat me... Rabbits are preyed upon by all animals after all. Humans without weapons aren't that different as well.
Basically, I'm just a walking snack.
It took me a couple hours of walking to stop and rest beside a tree. My tiny body couldn't keep up with my old mind so I got tired quicker.
The only things I have are potatoes, and I've already eaten 60% of them. Right now, only 4 remain. That's enough to be held in my hands when I needed to carry a sack for them just a while ago!
"I should've carried carrots instead..." I sighed.
Once I regained my energy, I looked around to see the sun setting over the trees. Uh-oh. I think I'm gonna have to find shelter soon. There ain't no survival videos that I can watch to save my life when I can't even access the internet! Not to mention the fact that I don't even have enough strength to build a campfire, so what am I gonna do?!
Going back is pointless, everyone's probably gone already. The only option is to push forward!
More hours of walking and it's really getting dark now... There's nothing but trees everywhere. Jeez. Am I gonna die here? So much for a second life.
...Oh? What's that? I think I see something in the distance! Is it the light at the end of the tunnel?
Oh nope! It's goddamned bandits! They're holding swords and rifles! I'm gonna be hunted down..! I have to hide!
I jumped to hide behind a bush, waiting for the bad guys to pass. They seem to be heading towards my hometown. Oh well, sucks for the ones still staying there, I guess!
The chances of me getting found is still high so I'll have to move further away from them!
*Whoosh!*
I instinctively widened my eyes to get a clearer view of the ornate blade flying over my head. Due to my height, I didn't need to do anything to dodge it, but it still sent shivers down my spine.
"Gyaaahhh!!!"
I let out a blood curdling scream before running away.
I gasped for air, holding my knees to remain standing. When I looked back up, I saw that I was now in some kind of 'stone forest'. There's a thick fog covering this entire place, and I can't seem to remember which direction I came from.
"Shit." I mumbled to myself, now fully acknowledging the fact that I'm actually in a different world.
