Mana World

Heavenly Arena

Main Palace Garden

All those that had a hand in the death of Adam Marlow were now present kneeling before an old

man in a grey martial robe and sandals, though he had visibly aged, he still had the good looks of a

man in his late 30’s and his body however was very fit, to fit for a man his age, and he stood at a

proud 6 foot 2. He had high grey hair and a well kept grey beard, his eyes were dark silver and his pupils were dark gold. He currently held a disappointment in his gaze as he looked down at his 9

disciples.

“Tell me why you did it Isaacs, why did you kill Adam??”, the old man asked indifferently. “More

importantly why did you, who knew of his love for you use that as a weapon to end his life??”, He

asked looking at the disciple to the far right, the only one still covering their body. “He was a leech

and is less of a man than Isaacs... I simply followed my survival instinct and stayed with the stronger

male”, the female disciple respond a without missing a beat.

“that is not what I asked, so don’t make me repeat myself", the old man said in an authoritative

tone. The disciple frowned under her mask and looked up at the Old man, “But grandmas-", she was

cut off when the old man looked in her direction and blood leaked out from under her mask like

tears, “Answer...my question”, The old man said with indifference in his gaze, the female disciple

began choking and held her throat as she lowered her head to the ground and she began to violently

cough blood. “speak quickly... you’re dirtying my garden", the old man said as he grabbed the

wooden yukata sword that lay rest on the table behind him, inspecting the nature of the sword.

The disciple gritted her teeth in agony but still said nothing, enduring the invisible pressure the

Palace Grand master was placing on her. After a few minutes the grandmaster withdrew his mana

pressure with a frown, “what enmity could you possibly bear towards him to betray him as you did

Isaac??”, The grandmaster asked in a more hurt tone than angry. “I’ve always seen you all as my very

own children, so why do this??”, he asked faintly trembling

“if we were your kids then I guess he was your favourite... and you weren’t all that subtle in showing

it", Isaacs said with a frown, looking around the grand master saw the genuine hurting in all of the

paragon’s eyes and sighed.

“Where did you send his soul then?? If you’re going to do this then I’m sure you are well aware he

would reincarnate”, The grandmaster asked as he sat down. “He is in the mortal world... he probably

won’t be able to leave until he is at least a Forbidden mage", Isaacs said in a semi pondering tone.

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

“how long do you think it would take him to get back then??”, the grandmaster asked as he didn’t

know Adam to be the cultivating type.

“I’d give it a couple of years, a decade in the worst case", the dark skinned male to the far right

noted. “what makes you think that Tyrone??”, the grandmaster asked curiously; “I might not like the

guy but I’ll admit this, he was by far the most knowledgeable of us and if he was given a fresh start...

there’s no doubt in my mind he will find the fastest most efficient way to raise his strength”, Tyrone

said with a hint of respect in his tone. “I see", the grandmaster muttered with an ever so slight smirk.

Adam and Liam stood before the Large building with differed reactions, Adam was surprised that a

place in the Mortal world could actually have this much pure Mana while Liam was surprised by the

sheer size of the building meant for just the two of them, Each block had 10 houses on each sizeable

being 3 at least 2 stories high.

Adam’s P.O.V

I’m not even sure people need houses this big in the Mortal world but not like I’m complaining or

anything.

“So what’s the schedule like again??”, I ask Liam to be sure of what I was told, “If memory serves, we

will rest today and meet the other recruits in the entry ceremony and the recruitment trials begin

tomorrow... after that the next day we will compete with members of the academy to determine our

rank".

Is that all?? I guess it’s not bad... now If what Adam’s father said was true then the hierarchy should

go as follows for the academy. Court students as the weak ones facing the threat of being kicked

out. Normal students of average talent, usually their cultivation hovers near the mid basic stages,

then there are the elite class students who usually have a cultivation base of a late stage to

perfected basic mage and lastly the golden generation, all students below the age of 20 with a

cultivation base in the intermediate stages.

In that case I’d peg the court tutors to be around the level of basic disciples, and tutors of the main

school to be in the advanced stages of magic minimally. I hope to see something, hell anyone with a

half decent talent to their name.

3 hours later

I am currently at the ceremony and as expected everyone and their mother has an escort to guard

them, and as expected the number of memorable talents here is abysmally low even for the mortal

realm. As far as I can tell Liam was currently speaking with one of the other escorts present, not that

I care all that much but if it ends up being someone with human decency I may just ally my self with

his master. A commotion seemed to start near the entrance so I went to check it out and as usual it’s

a situation of Noble oppression, if I got the gist of the situation right, the third child of the King of

Veras, Michael Veras is trying to publicly shame the first daughter of the King of Azuri, Azuri Kona.

From what I can tell even though Kona is a Royal by blood she is an entry level intermediate mage at

the age of 18 while Michael who is meagrely the third child is a rank 2 intermediate mage who has

awakened his second element at the age of 12, it seems folks here aren’t as talentless as I assumed, I

glance over to the escort Liam was speaking with and as expected he had the insignia of the Azuri

family on his back, in the end i may have to intervene.

“Tell me again dearest senior, what is the Azuri kingdom’s role in our great Empire, other than take

up resources your family has done nothing of note to benefit the empire and has produced no

talents of even my level much less a vermin like you matching my Brother", Michael declared in what

I assume to be genuine anger, I thought it over and this brat isn’t wrong, I mean I have talent but the

only reason I can cultivate my magic so well is because of my experience, the Azuri Kingdom as a whole has nothing much to offer, especially since our more talented mages were still on the basic

level.

I stay quiet since I can’t give dead horse medicine and look over to Liam once more, his friend

seemed frustrated but said nothing, let’s see how capable she is despite her talent. “Regardless of

whatever your delusions of my family are, an up in his airs brat like yourself has no place to judge

the way my family does things”, she says in a defiant tone, that would have meaning if she actually

had the strength to back her words up, she still hasn’t awakened her second element yet and

probably hoped to do so at the academy seeing as she was home trained till now.

Michael said nothing and simply rushed at Kona surprising her, from his element build there were

only two things he could possibly do with this manoeuvre and I don’t quite like either option, from

his aura I could tell his basic element was fire, but his second element isn’t so pleasant, one of the

most annoying elements to meet in terms of potential fire power rivalling even my mythril element,

combustion magic.

He charged a fireball and held constantly fed it mana as he approached Kona, once he felt it was

large enough he created an explosion at his feet to launch himself at Kona at speeds matching my

Vanta Lord’s dance. In response did the only thing I could to save Kona, I used My space element

spell, Blink to appear Infront of Kona and created an anti magic barrier around the both of us just

before Michael got to her, he jammed the fireball on my barrier wall and ignited a massive explosion

. Michael skidded back a few yards while I protected Kona from the shock wave as dust covered us all.
