Adam’s P.O.V
So my soul beast is a wolf huh?? I guess this ice wolf form should suffice for my current situation at
least, it’s probably going to be a little annoying to adapt at best. On the upside though all of my
senses were greatly sharpened and I could channel mana much easier than before. I didn’t even
have to use movement techniques anymore, my natural speed in this form was at least 5 times
faster than my Vanishing steps before my transformation... though just as expected with the soul
element regardless of your soul strength you can only maintain this form according to your
cultivation and the complexity of your foundation... For me though, seeing as I am a rank 7 Basic soul
mage and I have a foundation in even those in the mana World would envy; I should have a good
hour 30 minutes before I start burning actual mana to maintain this form.
I rushed behind the mage captain and ripped his head off, I crushed all his limbs and tossed his body
aside. I then plunge my claws into Lucia's back and freeze her organs one after the other, I then
simultaneously destroyed all of her organs killing her. These guys are probably important so staying
here won’t do me good in the long term, with that in mind I sprint off to test my new capabilities, I
am after all, quite satisfied with this trump card .

As expected the disappearance of the Dukedom mages incited an investigation as although they
weren’t particularly powerful individually they were an experienced squad by all means, especially if
they could cast magic normally like me rather than use formations. In the time since then though I
ignored the drama and focused on my training, I have officially become a basic perfected mage and
only needed to break through to the intermediate level, before that I needed to set my foundation
for it and was currently concocting the appropriate pills with a custom made furnace made of
hardened mythril, I had finished all the appropriate steps and only needed to wait a few more
minutes before my mana core reopened and I could awaken my next set of three elements.
Since the first three focused on, power and restriction I can up the standard of choosing. This time I
will choose the space element first, it allows for movement and restriction, plus it gives the
occasional offensive advantage; the next one I add to my repertoire is the Poison element, it helps
dealing with those creatures that have an annoying amount of stamina, plus its a great torture
element, if used tactically it can turn the tide of any large scale battle; Lastly however I got my
favourite element of the bunch, Anti Magic, I don’t know how slept on this element is in the Mana World but it seems this world appreciated the true value of an Anti Mage, considering how tight
information regarding it is kept, hell most mages don’t know it exists talk less of common folk.
After completing this all three of my initial elements became half-step intermediate elements, while
the new ones became half-step basic elements. I poured my remaining mana into the three new
ones making sure to burn through all of my man crystals this time and I got the space element to
rank 5, both Anti Magic and Poison magic got bumped down to rank 4 basic elements. I proceed to
spend the rest of my time developing all my elements to fit my new fighting style.

The Day of The Academy recruitment an omnibus figure walked to the gates of the Marlow
Household. He stood at 5 foot 8 and a plain white mask, he had black scale-like armour on that was
slim-fitted to fit his lean build perfectly, the armour was light yet durable, the figure had a thin
sword sheathed to it’s waist and had a cloak on covering it’s body, there were bandages covering it’s
hands and it wore a dark green ring on the middle finger of his right hand, there also seemed to be a
pair of iron braces on it’s wrists and shins; this was none other than Adam who was now back from

his little forest training.
Adam’s P.O.V
I managed to break my elements to the first rank of the intermediate level before I got here and I
couldn’t be happier, especially since my soul element had released a good number of restrictions on
my soul beast that most people wouldn’t know are restrictions unless they were told. For one thing I
can now use two souls beasts and if I ever felt so inclined I could mix and match to sort their
weakness out and use the full strength of both, my second soul beast unsurprisingly is a dragon
form, that was meant to be my first but it was a bit rushed and I didn’t control it. Now though I have
worked on my hybrid form and perfected it as best I can.
I walk up to the guards who seemed a lot sharper from when I left them, they had a certain level of
hostility to them as well... Now these are what you call real guards. “State your identity and business
here", the guard said as he tightened his grip on the great sword hanging from his waist. Quite a
formidable fellow... lucky for me I have a guard of my own.
“None of your business... let me through and I’ll settle it quickly", I say, and yes I will admit I just
want to see how my guard ranks up against other’s considering I trained him at all. The head guard
wasted no time swinging his great sword at my throat, I won’t even lie, it takes talent to swing a
great sword that quickly with that kind of power and precision behind it. The blade stopped short
but a figure immediately had it’s blade to the head guards throat. “took you long enough Liam", I
smiled as the squad captain from the first few weeks came to my defence, I had recently agreed to
teach him how to fight without usage of mana and accepted him as my disciple and body guard...
now he trains using the sword I gave Him during our first meeting and has followed my advise with
dedication.
Even someone as arrogant as myself saw Mana World level potential in this man once he started,
and he had the dedication to support such an assessment so I am interested in seeing how far he
makes it. The head guard tried to back off but lost his right arm immediately leaving him with his left hand that was barely lift the great sword. Liam spun and slit the surface of his throat making it deep
enough to bleed but light enough to not be anything serious at all.
“Let him pass", I suddenly hear a familiar voice say, I looked towards the gate and see this Adam’s
father walking out and towards the head guard. “I get testing my men, but losing an arm is fatal for a
soldier", he said with a frown, I ignored the look if distaste on his face and walked past him. “Liam do
as you please till I call for you... I am a young master of this household, know that your word here is
as good as mine... use that authority with tact", I ordered before returning to my room.
As far as I knew this academy supposedly housed the greatest talents of Adam’s generation, even
going as far to house some potential Forbidden mages. Sadly forbidden mages are a dime a score in
mana World, even cabbages aren’t as common as Forbidden mages, most people here wouldn’t
survive a week in mana World, and that’s not taking to account the millions of attacks that missed
their mark flying around threatening to kill anyone wondering where they weren’t supposed to.
In any case the academy is where all the high potential mages go, and they are holding a recruitment
in two hours in the Dukedom's arena, a bit crude for my taste but we can’t always have what we
want i guess. I spent the remaining time I had refitting my armour and weapons to suite my new
style of fighting, while I don’t mind being a long-ranged mage, I think it would be best if I stuck to the
mage path I was most familiar with, though I did add in a few long wanted spells for spamming it’s
not something I’ll plan to rely on too much.
Not long after I finished my adjustments to my weapons and armour I wore them and was called
down to be moved to the Dukedom’s arena for the Royal Magic Academy recruitment taking place in
the eclipse Empire’s Island. I call on Lima who showed up immediately and we both got into the
carriage they reserved for me, nobody but the two of us where allowed in so we had our privacy.
“Tell me Liam, does the new sword art I taught you suite your taste??”, I asked genuinely, if he is
going to be my disciple I need to make him a master swordsman that will be feared across even the
mana World, and even if he can’t channel mana. His anti magic dual swords should be able to
support him, now he just needs an efficient sword art to practice, so naturally till now he has been
training under my best one, and as expected of the 12 stages of mastery in meagrely 3 months he
reached the 2
nd stage and was almost fully proficient in it putting his strength at the level of a
perfected intermediate mage, it will not be easy by any means but he will grow quickly if his talent is
used appropriately, I will make him a man even the grandmaster is weary of, for now though I will
bide my time and quickly improve my strength.
