Today was special—Kate showed up once again. She ordered her usual cup of green tea and then invited a bunch of catgirls to have a chat with her. Vanilla went before Chocola; their chat was brief and looked polite. That's how it looked to Chocola, who was keeping an eye on them for one reason or another. Vanilla did not really like Kate for some reason, so Chocola knew her secret was safe, but the worry was still there.
"Please, Chocola, come sit with me." Vanilla left, and the magical girl finally invited Chocola.
"Haya. Checking up on the catgirls, aren't you?" Chocola sat down and winked at her.
"Precisely! Everything is fine." She asked. Chocola sighed in relief; it was clear Vanilla had told her nothing.
"Well, anyways, I don't remember if I offered this the last time, but if you want to send a message or some money back to the old world, I can arrange that." Kate offered.
Chocola thought for a bit and then twitched. Indeed, there was something she forgot: her parents. They must be worried. She felt so horribly guilty about it too. Chocola quickly and playfully bumped herself on the head, then smiled. What's done was done, but now she had to resolve this matter.
"I do, so, um, how does it work? I can give you a letter, and you will deliver it?" Chocola inquired.
"Not exactly. It is not possible to send matter between two worlds. But if you give me an address and tell me a message, the message will reach the address. You can't use a cipher either; for some reason, it does not work. So sorry for the lack of privacy, but that is better than nothing. Think of it as a postcard without an envelope." Kate explained.
"Ah, uhm, it's very embarrassing!" Chocola thought for a bit, then blushed intensely.
"Oh, don't worry, I've heard lots of embarrassing things." Kate smiled.
"Well, uhm, give me a minute." Mary asked.
"Sure. I will return in a week too, so you can think until then."
"No, no, let's do it now, actually." Mary insisted. She really did not want to let her parents worry for yet another week.
Mary quickly thought of the best set of words to send. But it was not a situation with a perfect solution; it was simply better to send a quick, imperfect message than to waste an entire week.
"Ok, I am ready." Chocola finally broke the silence. Kate took out the notebook and a pencil. Chocola looked at it with a certain suspicion.
"Ah, I can't send matter, but I have bad memory and might forget it by the time I reach the post office. It is better to write it down."
"Wait, wait, I thought it was you who traveled between two worlds?" Chocola was a bit surprised.
"No, not at all. Magical girls can't leave this world. But worry not; the post office has people that travel back and forth; they will take care of it." Kate explained and held up the pencil above the paper.
"Ok, here goes then!" Chocola prepared, breathed in, and blushed intensely. "Hiya, mom and dad. It's me, Mary. You know how you always told me to find my own place in the world? I think I finally did. My current job requires me to be silent too. No, no, I am not doing anything dangerous; rather, rather... ok... no better way to say this, I became an astronaut. Yes, there is danger, and no, there's nothing anyone can say to stop me from doing that. It's a private... no scratch that!"

"Scratch that? Astronaut sounds like a good excuse." Kate inquired.
"No, let's redo!" Chocola tried once more. "Hiya, mom and dad. It's me, Mary. You know how you always told me to find my own place in the world? I think I finally did. I miss you, I miss my dad, I miss my whole family, and I want to see you soon! But I am in a very remote place, and I am not sure when I will be able to contact you again. My life is not in danger, and I have finally found peace and happiness. I love you all, Mary!" Mary dictated once more. It was still quirky, but she was convinced it was the best she could come up with in the time given. She then stared at Kate. "Better?"
"Well, that sounds more honest. Now, uhm, their address." Kate inquired and then wrote down the address. "Do you want to send some money too?"
"I can?" Mary inquired. She knew there was a way to transfer money between the worlds, but she was not sure if she should. If her goal was to become an adventurer, she would need all the money she could get.
"Yep. The exchange rate is about $10k to one broze coin."
"Really?!?!!" Chocola's eyes immediately grew wide. She realized she was a millionaire, even after she spent so much on the dress. But she was not really into the money either.
"Capitalism!" Kate briefly laughed.
"Wait, seriously?! How?! Please explain!" Chocola was definitely surprised.
"Yep, really, just capitalism. Lots of people want to visit this world, billionaires included. No, they are neither willing nor capable of working simple jobs, and they can't bring their gold in here. So, there is a bank. It has accounts in both worlds and acts like a market maker between two worlds. The currency never travels across, only word of mouth, and you can trade it. But, anyway, the point is, there are lots of buyers and not that many sellers. So, congratulations on all the tips!"
"I," Chocola went thinking. The money would mean a lot to her family. At first, she thought she needed some herself, but what she had was not worth much in this world. Her family needs them more. "Actually, I do want to send a hundred, but I think it would be bad if I just sent them all at once. Is it possible for the bank to give it in tiny bits? Or in case some disaster happens?"
"Of course, Chocola. The bank can arrange something like that. You're not the only one who was worried about it. Money can corrupt; believe me, I know." Kate explained.
"It is not that it corrupts; well, that too. But I was thinking if I sent them all at once, they would think I sold myself or something horrible like that. But if it is a few thousand each month, they will think I am safe and alive." Mary explained.
"I see, that's very caring of you. No problem; the bank can arrange that." Kate smiled.
"Ok, then a hundred." Kate decided and mentally sent the coins to her.
"Thank you; I will make sure they get to your family." Kate smiled. "Anything else, cute kitty?"
"Actually, there is!" Chocola smiled and winked happily. Kate was happy to hear it too. "Can you get me a laser pointer? I really want to tease Vanilla with it." She casually added.
"A laser pointer? Hmm, challenging, but I do love a challenge. Meet me tomorrow at the park, like last time. And bring me a strawberry milkshake." Kate nodded.
"Wait, really, you will make one in a day?!" Chocola smiled. But she did not have any other requests in mind. "That is all then~"
Chocola nodded and stood up; she gave Kate a brief hug and left.
The day continued normally. Chocola was cheerful. Another major point of her plan was cleared.
In the evening, Vanilla came to Chocola with a cute favor.
"Hey sister, I want to draw you. Can you, um, pose for me?" Vanilla wiggled her ears.
Chocola perked up her ears and brightly smiled. She nodded, tilted her head, and gave Vanilla a cute wink.
"Yes, like that, perfect. Now hold still."
Vanilla proceeded to draw her sister. Chocola, while frozen, watched her sister. Vanilla smiled a lot while drawing, and seeing her was a great reward in itself. Vanilla really liked to draw, and she was so happy to be drawn. And it was also nice to know her time here would not be forgotten.
Once done, she gave the painting to Chocola. Chocola read the title, and her eyes began to water. She was so incredibly pretty there. And the text was moving too. It read:
"Mary, the cutest Chocola."
