Elsewhere in Infinity, or to be precise, in the Desolate World inside the Core Space of the Grand Celestial Palace, the Great Sage’s face had a smile on it, “Even if you force yourself to be mediocre, you cannot hide from being an absolute monster.” His divine sense was capable of monitoring every single world within his sector simultaneously, without trouble. Thus, he knew EVERYTHING that happened all the time.

Yu Han also had more than 10 fate palaces in reality, but he did not show these to anyone. Furthermore, each of the, were more massive than Wang Jun’s. One of his fate Palaces were more than 5 times the size of Wang Jun’s. In fact, Yu Han with his 20 Fate Palace had an equally solid foundation as Wang Jun possessed. Of course neither told the other about this. They feared it would cause disparity between the both of them.
Apart from cultivation, they trained in sword and spear techniques and hand to hand combat. The [Incomplete War Formulae] was truly too easy to cultivate in. And it had only 2 levels – and stopped at Heaven rank. It was a minor Generic Cultivation technique that could only suit for the Generic class Qi affinity users. Despite being incomplete, it was still a rather useful technique, and allowed for the tempering of the body, hand-to-hand combat and while wielding melee weapons. Thus, even a Heaven rank Qi user had its uses with this technique.
The evaluation only happened in 3 months. Majority of the children had managed to develop a Fate Palace. But the most outstanding was Yu Han’s. His Fate Palace was brimming with pure heaven defying energy. Compared to it, Wang Jun’s was much smaller, and the aura it possessed was also indefinitely weaker. As a generic class Qi, he never had much hope to contend against the Heavenly Blue Qi anyway. Still, it was much more illustrious than the other children with Generic Qi. This, coupled with the fact that Wang Jun had 100 Fate Palaces, he was really satisfied with this result.
Hanzo was fairly satisfied with this result. Especially due to the presence of 2 geniuses within the youngsters, he had high hopes for these bandit-in-training. With their foot solidly placed within Fate Palace, it was time for the youngsters to taste first blood.. They’d all already more or less witnessed the cold hearted slaughter of their friends and family after all. How hard would be to actually go out there and kill?
On a Friday morning, Hanzo rounded up all the children, loaded them up to cages sitting atop carriages, like animals being taken to slaughter house, and rode them down the mountain. Their destination: Rock Village, a very small village comparable to Mud Village. Jerome the Bandit wanted this settlement burnt to the ground and erased from this world. It was up to Hanzo to carry out. Perfect opportunity to train his little bandits!
Rock Village was a tiny bit smaller than Mud Village. It had just 400 people in total. They’d recently found out a precious gem outside their village, and Jerome wanted this precious gem for himself. He was not used to asking people for their belongings.
“Kill everyone!” Hanzo ordered the children still locked up in their cage. They had mostly gotten used to the cage. Some of the more deranged persons even loved to be inside the cage. “I want 400 heads in front of me by this morning. If you fail me, everyone loses a toe!”
Kill? Such a foreign term. True, they had seen people get killed, but they themselves, at most, only ever hit someone in their life. This was the same for Wang Jun and Yu Han. They were frightened, kill, or lose a toe? The pain of losing a part of their body was unimaginable, as was actually to go out and kill someone. This was an equally shocking matter.

All of a sudden, Hanzo had raised his sword and he slammed it’s hilt against a bar of the cage, producing a very sharp sound. This was like an alarm that startled the children, some were so shocked they started yelling. It was as if Hanzo had just now cut off his toe. “They are already on the run. Remember, 400 heads, or everyone suffers the same,” Hanzo had a menacing cold stare on. He meant every single world.
All the doors of the cages were opened. No further orders were given. Yet, kids darted out of the cages like arrows released from a bow. They did not head into the village, but rather they had targeted those few tens of fleeing men, in flocks of up to 5, women, men and children. These people had long ago learnt of Mud Village’s fate. Simply hiding within their houses would mean little to avert the coming demise. There were no protectors of the weak within these desolate lands. As soon as they had heard that Bandit Jerome had sent men to destroy their village, they had fled.
In truth, close to 100 people had already left Rock Village the night before; after the discovery of the precious gem. These were the really wise people of the village. Hanzo was well aware of this. But did the children know? Not entirely.
Even if it was foundation establishment stage level 1: Fate Palace establishment stage, the children were much faster than ordinary grown ups. This was because, Fate Palace and the awakened circulation of Qi within their body had already allowed them to surpass normal conditions. These kids were like wolves running on open plain. Two of them caught up to a family on horseback, and crudely slammed into these horses. With a jolt, the man, wife and their two children were thrown off the horses violently.
The frightened horses did not wait around as they continued to flee. “Die!” One of the two kids pounded both fists against the chest of the men who was still on the ground, confused as to what had actually hit them. He was barely able to look for his wife and sons, when –bang- something slammed against his chest. He stared up in horror. It was a pair of blood red eyes that met him. These were the eyes of a kid no older than his own. “Wh-why…” He was able to stammer, before life left his eyes. Those fists shattered his lungs, flattened his heart and ruptured his spine. Blood sprayed from his eyes, and mouth, staining the kid blood red from face down.
The other kid was only a moment late in dealing with the women and 2 children. The method he employed was much cleaner. He used a sturdy stem from a tree and poked their hearts with it. He had the mindset to actually think how we would deal with his victims. This was not an isolated case. Most of the children were on a mad slaughter inside and outside the village. There were still some children who were reluctant to leave the cage, like Wang Jun and Yu Han.
A single Fate Palace was already this overwhelming against ordinary human beings. If they took action, the results would be far more domineering.
“15…20…50…” Hanzo kept a count of dead people being brought into the yard in front of him. They were being piled on to a heap. He stared back, at the few who clung to the cages, “Not going to join in and kill for your brothers?” He asked, smiling.
“I only want to kill you, monster!” Yu Han yelled. He was barely able to restrain his anger. If he had any confidence, he would charge out of the cage. Not mentioning the many bandit guards accompanying him, even Hanzo was in the end not someone that Yu Han had confidence in being able to deal with.
“Who is a monster and who is a saint?” Hanzo smiled, and turned back to the village. Cries of rage, anguish and cries emanated from the village. Amidst these sounds were those of the little bandits he were raising. Oh, if he had the opportunity to train the now adult bandits within the Bandit Lair, they would be so much more frightening.
“You are no saint,” Wang Jun added.
Hanzo hummed in amusement. He was a Saint: The Saint of Death.
