“Find and kill him before he surfaces!” One of the nine yelled in fury. Since their divinity had been stripped, they were no longer absolute powers. At most, they now had powers close to a Celestial Sage Emperor. Once this was known, all their prestige and face would be lost.
But without their absolute divinity, they could not search for a mortal soul within billions of Infinities. Each infinity had countless omniverses and each omniverse was home to countless quantum verses, each with countless mega verses, and each of these mega verses contained countless universes within them.
The power they now possessed they could scan one or two infinities if they spent one week on it. Like this, thousands of years would take if they wanted to find the spark. But if the nine were to give out orders, it would be much more simple. Every infinity had an Earth Sage Guardian deity. For every hundred Earth Sage Guardian, there is a Heavenly Sage Emperor that commands them. For a thousand Heavenly Sage Emperors, there is a Jade Emperor to govern them. For every 100 Jade Emperors, a Celestial Sage Emperor commands them. Unknown Nine Men stood right above them, below the Great Sage Emperor.
As for Celestial Sage Emperors, their number was no less than 100 billion. This was a measure of just how vast creation beneath the Great Sage was. If even an Earth Sage was killed, it would not make these Unknown men to flinch, and yet; at this moment, they were frantic to find a mortal life beneath even Earth Sages. From this, one could sense the urgency.
In a corner of the Infinite Space:
This was the place where all infinite cosmos were placed. Each infinity had a distance of 10 billion light years between each other. Countless floating continents existed between each and every one of these continents, and an illuminating road connected these continents to each other. These roads converged at the [Infinite Center]. Directly below the Infinite Center was the tip of the tallest tower in a Grand Celestial Palace, thousands of times the size of Infinity. This was the home of the Celestial Sage Emperors, Jade Emperors and Heavenly Sage Emperors.
The innards of the palace consists of three dimensions. Outer Space, Inner Space and Core Space. Outer Space is home to Heavenly Sages, while Inner Space is home to Jade Emperors, and the Core Space is the home of Celestial Sages.
Does a cultivation technique exists that can lead you up to mysterious 9 or Great Sage level? No one knew for sure. One thing they did know, was that it was absolutely possible for a mortal to train to Celestial Emperor level. How do they know? A very famous entity Hellsin Brekken did. Even amongst the Celestial Sage Emperors, he is renowned for his power and savagery.
In an extremely desolate world at the Core Space of the Grand Celestial Palace:
“Make sure to safeguard the spark … everything depends on you,” This was the mental message before an extremely tiny mortal’s soul landed in his bare hand.
He had instantly placed it inside a Jade pendant he always kept worn around his neck, “Grow until you are able to get out of this old thing,”
The pendent was an old treasure, within it were 100 Infinite Universes. Earth ranked Sage Emperors could fabricate Infinity on their own, to say nothing of how casual the feat is for a Celestial Sage.
“Return … father … before they destroy everything!”
The Celestial Sage Emperor got up, and with a casual swing, tore open a portal in the fabric of space-time. He threw the pendant into it. Even another Celestial Sage can forget about forcing it open, to say nothing about those below this level. Without their divinity, even the Nine Unknown Men could forget to open his pendant. But enough time was consumed, it was within the realm of possibility.

----------------------------------------
Wang Jun sat atop the small hill outside his village, leaning against the bark of a long dead tree, staring at the night sky. All of a sudden, a meteor streaked across the sky.
“Please … give me strength to conquer heavens!” Wang Jun prayed.
The Celestial Sage smiled from where he sat in the core space of the Grand Celestial Palace.
All of a sudden, the meteor took a sharp turn. This was the same pendant the Celestial Sage Emperor threw. It raced towards Wang Jun. scared out of his wits, Wang Jun got up and started running. “I take it back! I don’t want to conquer heaven!” He cried.
The sage had decided. This boy would make the perfect mask for the rebirth of the next Great Sage. It is also much better than to let his sacred treasure to rot away in a forgotten corner of his territory. Unknown Nine could not suspect that the one they were looking for was being hidden with a genius. Nor would it ever occur to them that a simple looking item was actually a Celestial Sage Sacred Treasure. Even that, given how many Celestial Sage Emperor’s existed, was nothing strange. They often loved to play around.
For example, the Celestial Sage Emperor, Sun Wukong, chose to play on Earth, a very small planet in the corner of an Infinity, and left behind his Celestial Sage Treasure, his Ruyi Jingu Bang, where to this very day, it is being passed down among his descendants. Many immortals, even Earth Sage Guardians and Jade Emperors eye this treasure to make it their own. But whenever a calamity descends to Earth, Sun Wukong is ready to avert it.
Wang Jun only managed to run to the foot of the hill, when the meteor bumped into him. “I don’t want to die!”
There was a big bang, sending ripples surging out from the space for quite a distance.
Wang Jun was surprised to find himself without a single scratch.
The villagers gathered, as they too heard this explosion. But they found nothing, and on top of that, found Wang Jun crouching on the ground, his head over his head and looking extremely terrified. Even when asked what happened, all he could say was, “Please don’t kill me! I will not conquer the heavens!”
Strange, this was the villagers’ deduction. Wang Jun was a very ordinary boy from ever since he was very small. He would play with other children but come night time, he would always sit on top of the hill and stare at the sky. His parents, Wang Lin and Wang Meng took their boy home. Something weird happened, everyone heard it, but they had found nothing strange when they arrived.
That night,
Within a corner of Wang Jun’s dantian, the pendant was just floating. It was constantly releasing a stream of natural energy.
Wang Jun originally possessed a single drop of Qi within his Dantian. This was far too small to draw in natural energy of the world. He was fated to forever be anything but ordinary. But now, this drop of Qi was thirstily drinking all the natural energy the pendent was releasing.
The village Wang Jun lived in was after all, far too ordinary. Not even a whiff of martial art existed there. But Martial Arts existed, and cultivators thrived on the world of Wang Jun.
Not very far from Wang Jun’s village, was the lair of Bandit King Jerome. He had made a lone mountain his fortress, and could be said to be the Warlord of the Region, spanning almost 10,000 kilometers around the mountain. He had sensed the descent of the mysterious meteorite, and was baffled at its disappearance.
“Go and search the area around Mud Village, kill if you must; find that meteorite!” Jerome ordered his Captain, Hanzo.
“Yes, Master.” Hanzo nodded.
Hanzo led a faction of 100 men and descended down the mountain in full force.
Wang Jun and a couple others were playing on the streets near his house when Hanzo and his horsemen barged into the village.
“HAND OVER THE METEORITE OR I WILL KILL EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!” Hanzo’s booming voice echoed through the entire village.
The villagers were scared and confused. Wang Jun was startled? Meteorite? That thing that attacked him?
“Quickly children, get in!” Wang Lin took all the children, along with her own into the house as she and Wang Meng headed out, frantic looks on their faces.
Of course Wang Jun, given his temperament, refused to stay hidden within the house. He secretly snuck out, and reached the area where a crowd of villagers were facing Hanzo and his men on horseback.
“We have nothing! Return from whence you came!” Cried the old elder of the village. “We have nothing of value to you people!”
“The stone that fell from the heavens! Where is it?!” Hanzo bellowed. His voice seemed to shake the very earth.
Wang Jun hiding behind a barrel, when he heard this, could not help but be startled. That thing that attacked him yesterday? But even he had no idea where it really disappeared to. Little Wang Jun did not know that the pendent was now within his body, having merged with his soul.
“We have no idea what you are talking about!” The angry villagers shouted at Hanzo and his men. Of course they did not. Not of them had seen how it was absorbed by Wang Jun.
"Then don't blame me for massacring you lot!" Hanzo roared fiercely. These insects were very easy for him to deal with. And a nobody village like this, he doubt anyone would care if a small power like the Bandit King Jerome wiping out a small village. Hanzo was not a blind follower of Jerome. He knew that the sky was vast and infinitel. If he casually followed the whims of his Master, it would be his doom. But thankfully, Hanzo had extraordinary fortitude, and it could be said that, behind Jerome's back, it was actually Hanzo who handled all the affairs of the region they controlled.
