Gene went to the pub and received the final quest reward. She had received a considerable amount of experience over the quest and was feeling delighted with the current progress.

With no other quest thrown her way, she left looking for a field boss that mostly focused on defence, The Forest Guardian after buying a bunch of potions and a few health regeneration potions. No one under level 50 would bother purchasing something like this considering the cost as well as how ineffective the healing was at lower levels. This wasn't true for Gene who had an impressive vitality even at level 14.
The regeneration potion was a periodic heal over time which gave 1% health per tick. To others with low health under 200 points, this potion was a complete waste while to Gene it was perfect considering her over 3000 health.
The Forest Guardian was a minor boss, who roamed around the lower-tier cities. This was also an introductory boss for the newbies to learn to fight with a considerably lower attack rate and power. This was what gave her the optimistic feeling. Had it been any other boss, Gene wouldn't be able to handle the torrent of attacks.
Even though the boss was weaker, that didn't mean the items it dropped were the same. There was a considerable demand for the items dropped and they had a chance to drop high-grade uncommon materials even though it was relatively low. The rewards improved the faster they were killed.
The level 10 minor boss was torturing a few field mobs when Gene saw it. Walking towards the monster she pulled it out away from the other mobs with an unbelievably overpowered move, Arms Crossed. She turned around and ran further in looking for a good place with little to no mobs so she could focus on the monster alone. She finally found a place and made herself comfortable for the incoming attack that she had to tank.

As soon as she got hit two numbers flew up one red and the other green. At the same time, the reflected damage of 360 appeared above the guardian, which was a sack of moss with some twines. The further infuriated monster attacked again and again which slowly lowered the health of Gene and the boss simultaneously.
From her rough estimate, she could tell the boss had close to 8,000 health points. The true difficulty in this fight wasn't the health but the defence it possessed. Thankfully, her reflected damage was unique as it completely ignored the damage reduction of her opponent. In the end, she was able to complete the fight by only consuming two health potions and one regen potion that she used at the beginning.
After getting hit too many times, Gene finally relaxed as the boss fell under her feet. She had a painful expression as the constant smacking from the boss became pure torture to her. No other player in the game would have to get hit this many times. Even the tankers included.

Title: Solo Expert(R)

Everything went as expected. No exp. A few decent crafting items. Miss balls were used in both alchemy and potion crafting. The gem shards were for enchanting and fetched a decent price. The title was something she was wary of. But she couldn't figure out what the fame was for. Only in a few seconds, it made sense.
Regional Announcement
Congratulations to Player Gene for achieving the solo kill on Forest Guardian(level 10) while under level 15. Fame +5.
"Awe, so cute!" It happened! Something that Gene wanted to avoid finally happened. And soon she started receiving mails from countless guilds who wanted to role in the new 'rising' star.
Announcements rarely happened in the game and often when it happened it was due to the top players finding new content or creating new records. The sight of a low-level player appearing in an announcement was so rare that most guilds immediately took note. Was it pure luck or an emerging star? Only time will tell.
While the realm discussed the new achievement, Gene left to the auction house to sell the items she got. They weren't worth much but anything was good for someone strapped for cash.
'Should I try the other boss as well?' Gene thought carefully.
There wasn't any reason for her not to try. She didn't receive much from the death penalty. The boss was pretty close and easily accessible. The only uncertainty was its higher attack power. The health wasn't that high trying to keep the balance. In the end, she decided to give it a try.
The Mountain Troll was a half-decent boss for any party at level 15. It had a higher attack power than the moss ball and it was much easier to tank given its straightforward attack patterns. The beast was also considered one at rare rank making it a decent haul. She had enough potions to handle the quick match and she left immediately to the designated region.
Trolls usually were twice the size of an average human. This particular boss has a slightly better composition giving it a more noble aura, unlike the regular bosses that usually spawned in the region. It was a variant of the regular boss which happened often to spice things up.
The first hit sacred the rights out of Gene as it shaved off a massive 590 health. The regeneration potion was immediately emptied but the sight was awe-inspiring. The troll had received massive damage making it go berserk.
The troll had a huge health pool compared to the regulars but this one damage shaved off one-fifth of its health. With the regen from the potion, her skill and a regular healing potion, Gene managed to get her health back to full. If you ignore the fact that you were constantly being toyed around, this type of gameplay was too easy. There wasn't much to do apart from drinking health potions for Gene which she executed exceptionally well. With a few more hits, the health of the troll hit rock bottom, falling back dead. Gene was holding on decently as she immediately went through the loot.

The rewards weren't as good as she expected but were nice. Since the crafting materials dropped were for cooking, its value was very low even with the epic quality. The club wasn't a favoured weapon choice and was only suitable as a collectable. The troll skin however had some value with it being extremely sturdy as some of the tailors preferred it over the other crowd favourite bear hide.

Again something Gene should have expected to happen but forgot as she was acting on a spur of the moment. The two back to back regional announcements made those who attributed her skills to luck change their mind. Once could be considered luck but twice that too with a much more powerful one. That wasn't some ordinary luck. The many guilds started moving immediately to try and recruit this rare gem only to be disappointed.
Gene had already logged out.
