Bao grinned over both of his cheeks. If he would be able to get the job at the net cafe he could catch two flies with one strike, by fulfilling his parent's wishes and being able to further immerse himself in the world of Nelenia. A sting in his right cheek tore him out of his thoughts. His sister yesterday happily told the story of how he protected her by sacrificing and throwing himself onto the thug who tried to attack them, hence his parents didn't make too big of a ruckus about the bruise on his face. Actually, the contrary happened. For the first time since he was released, he thought to see something like pride in their eyes. With a small jolt, the elevator announced its arrival on the last floor where he then walked down the path to his cabin, laid down and inserted the cable, just to find himself again falling down the sky into his avatar's body.
He didn't have the time to realize where he spawned when a slime already shot a lump of acid in his direction which he barely avoided with a jump to the side. Only now he noticed that he was no longer in the giant mansion where he logged out but instead found himself in the middle of a wide green plain surrounded by three slimes. Armed with his rusty sword he cut in half one of them, that just tried to jump on him. Upon landing both parts immediately started to move towards each other, merging themselves again into a whole slime. Without leaving him any time to take a breath the other two took this opportunity to attack simultaneously. A step to the side was enough to avoid the first slime which flew right past him, immediately followed by an upwards swung with his sword, cleaving right through the second one and destroying its core. The gelly of the slime dissolved right after the hit, leaving nothing but the halved gem. Distracted by the attacks, the third one used the gap in his defence to shoot a blast of acid on his back, burning clothes and skin equally. He instantly turned around while swinging his sword but not fast enough, the slime had already put some distance between them, unimpressed Bao continued his swing until it reached the second enemy. The sword went through without any resistance, meaning that he didn't hit the core. Disregarded of his defences he dashed forward and sliced through the remains until he hit the gem, not leaving it any time to recover. The other slime in the meantime had already attached itself to his upper thigh and completely dissolved his skin melting now the muscles beneath. With the left hand, he grabbed the knife on his waist and trusted it right through the core. Nothing but the destroyed jewels were left of the enemies, the fight was over.

"Oh, so I get a summary of what the AI did during my absence that is pretty neat, if only they didn't go in the middle of a fucking slime spawn!"
"Summary completed. After resting at the residence and without any signs of Elincia's return David decided to register at the adventurers guild and accepted a beginner's quest: gathering 10 bundles of Wildfire Grass, a herb with healing properties used for crafting healing potions. During his gathering, he suddenly encountered three slimes that attacked him. End of summary."
Apparently, he not only received new clothes, which now have two big holes but also a small sachel containing the wildfire grass and multiple stripes of clothes that seemed to be his old outfit. With trembling hands, he took some of the grass chewed it and put it on the stripes that were then tightly bound around his tight as for the burnt on the back there was nothing he could do since he couldn't reach it.
"Status."

Bao's smile reached from one cheek to the other when he saw that his title 'Weaker than a slime' had disappeared.
