Pudding walked over to the transfer pad, and said, “These transfer pads be working only one year in every forty on the Quest Deck, and there be a mini shop in each one.” Pudding walked up to the transfer pad and stepped into the middle like he was going to jump back to the Second Deck, but a system message gave him the option of jumping or accessing the shop. As he selected the shop, he said “We gather loot and or raw resources to sell to de shop for credeets. The shop uses credeets on the transfer pads, not coin. Everyding have value in this shop, including wood, water, even pebbles, but most basic materials be worth very, very little. We then use the credeets to buy what we need. When we get enough credeets, we can buy de first clue for the location of the Oracle. All the jumpers that are not looking for the Oracle, will be mining for precious metals nonstop. There is a lot of gold and silver on this Deck. Instead of selling your loot for credits, the Shop also gives you the option to store and deposit your loot with it until you jump back to the Second Deck.”
Pudding demonstrated by selling the shop 20 pebbles, and he received .0001 credits, then he sold the shop one of Tamako’s hillbilly spears and received .2 credits, and last, sold one of the wolf pelts for 15 credits. With the credits he then purchased from the shop the cheapest pants available, which cost him 9 credits, and last, he purchased a very small and dull, low quality bronze carving knife for 5 credits. He then said while waving the bronze knife, “The shop no sell much. Just basic clothes, food, leather armor, and bronze weapons and tools. Iron-ore deposits are extremely rare and de shops will no sell any. There is almost no iron or steel tools or weapons on this deck. These Cities and Towns on the Oracle Deck have no guilds from the Second Deck, so the jumpers from the Second Deck will no get help from the locals. The people living here, they mostly kill the gold hunters and Oracle Hunters on Site, and we no be able to sell to de city merchants living here.”

After Pudding's explanation Tamako Stood up from her seat near the fire, and said, "Let me try." With her share of the “loot” she purchased a wooden spear with a bronze point, and then Jen purchased a bronze dagger, and with what money they had left, they both purchased what amounted to bikini underwear and a sports bra. Jen smirked at Sam as she noticed him glancing their way shaking his head, but there simply wasn’t enough loot to buy more clothing.
Sam couldn’t handle it anymore, and busted out laughing, and said to Jen, “A witch doctor and bikini-clad amazons! Kelly will never believe me!” Jen glared at Sam to get his attention, and then jumped up and down to make her boobs jiggle. Jen snorted with laughter as Sam threw his hands up in the air while turning towards the shop, where he used the last of their loot to purchased a pair of shorts and some copper wire for his foregetme charms.
Sam made eye contact with Pudding, Jen, and Tamako to get their attention, and said, “Before we go any further, we need to swear mutual ability-tied gambling oaths to keep each other’s powers and techniques secret.”
