"Ready... Set... GO!" Zephyria yelled as Zeph bolted away from her.

"3... 2... 1..." Zephyria counted down and when reaching 0, She blasted away in pursuit of her brother.

"Hey, Lucian," Kellan said as he arrived at the training grounds. He leaned on the wooden fence that Lucian was sitting on while watching the 2 siblings go after each other. "What are those two up to?"

"Nothing much. Just training as usual." I said while I kept my eyes on the 2 flying all over the field. "I just don't understand what they are doing. Why are they basically playing tag over there."

Kellan looked from Lucian to the siblings. They stopped for a brief minute and seemed to have reversed their roles. Kellan smiled as he remembered them doing this same training routine when they were young.

"Well, it is a bit weird I guess, if you don't know how it started," Kellan said with a hint of amusement in his voice.

"Back in the day when they were about 8 or 9 years old, they told me how they came up with this. Or should I say, how he came up with it?"

"It's pretty fascinating, to be honest. He told me that when he got control over his sister's body, he wanted to make sure he wouldn't hurt her or give her a bad name. So he started to find ways to do things separately. That way he could learn to do different things at the same time, hoping nobody would notice anything being wrong.

After a difficult year of practicing in the house, he was proficient enough to not bump his or her head against every door frame." Kellan started to chuckle at this. "I can still just imagine how comical that must have looked.

So to practice more intensely he started to play tag with himself. First, he would run away and with his sister's body try to tag him. After a few minutes, they would reverse the roles."

By this point, I had turned my attention away from the 2 darting around the training field and Kellan had my full attention now. "I can see why that would be helpful. Though it must have been very difficult."

"I guess it would have been. He never said it, so I don't know for sure but I can imagine. Eventually, they would learn a small bit of magic, very basic, and started using it to help catch each other."

"Magic would definitely make things different. But isn't it hard to use magic like this? I mean, to use magic you need to focus pretty hard." I thought out loud while questioning how much of the story was a lie to make it sound great, and how much was true.

"Zeph told me he quickly set up rules after the first few times including it in their training.

You've been watching them for a while now, right?"

"Yeah, what about it?"

"Did you ever see them using magic on each other?"

I had to think hard about this one but came to the conclusion that I didn't see anything other than weak enhancement skills being used.

"Yeah, you're right. They only use enhancement magic, as far as I have seen."

"Well Well, look who has been paying attention. But you are correct. Zeph set up the rule that in no way they can interrupt each other and that magic can only be used to help navigate the world.

This basically means that they can't attack each other but can, for example, use wind magic to boost themselves. While they are chasing each other, they would be doing endurance training, strength training, and parallel training. That last one is the training to move 2 bodies at the same time."

Damn. That is a tough training.

My thoughts were cut short after hearing a big crash happening near the garage box. Running over we could see Zeph and Zephyria laying on the ground next to a sort of locker that was emptying itself out after the 2 crashing into it.

"You two ok over there?" Kellan laughed amused.

"Yeah..." Zephyria said while crawling out from under the stuff that was piled on top of her.

Walking in I reach my arm out to Zeph to help him up.

"Hey, you good ?"

He took my hand and pulled himself up.

"Yeah," he said smiling. "I took a certain evasive step with both bodies at the same time and crashed into each other"

"Ok now that you are finished, I want to tell you a bit about magic. So if you meet me in the indoor training hall after you get a fresh set of clothes, I will see you there." Kellan said as he walked out the door.
