Cat regained consciousness with the worst hangover ever. She could barely think and her vision was blurred. She heard voices but couldn’t make sense of what they were saying. Her upper body hurt and she felt like something was squeezing her chest. Her vision slowly came into focus as she groaned.
“Cat!” A girl squealed excitedly. It sounded like her voice in one of her videos.
“Ow. Where am I? What happened? Where’s Rorgramathan?” Cat asked as she winced in pain at the sound of her own voice.
The first thing she saw was Jack staring down at her. Was he carrying her? The second thing she saw was the Earth Fairy as the spirit hovered in front of her face.
“You’re in my domain, Hero. You know what happened better than us. And the demon was banished forever from this realm. Huzzah, the day is saved,” the spirit mockingly rejoiced.
“Hunga mi' heshi, spirit,” Cat said respectfully.
“Hunga mi' heshi, Hero,” the fairy replied also respectfully. “I wronged you when you came asking for help. I hope you find my assistance in bringing you back from death’s door adequate compensation.”
“Is the demon really banished? Will they send another after Catherine?” Cat asked.
“Yes, and definitely no. Whatever you did, it released all the souls the demon had claimed. Most were taken away by the Reapers but a few wander the land, and another lot fled to other dimensions. That is of no concern. Your task is fulfilled, Hero,” the fairy answered with clear tones of regret.
Cat wondered if the spirit regretted missing on whatever reward the Universe had for the fairies that helped their heroes. “So there’s no need of a Hero anymore?”
The fairy giggled, “As if. There’s always a threat, always a danger, always someone rising up to the challenge. But not for you, not right now. Should the Universe sense the need, you’ll find your way to my domain once again. But now we shall part as friends. See to your sister, she’s almost barreling me out of the way.”
The fairy moved away but not out of her aura sense. Catherine came into view and reached for her hand. “Hello there, mate.”
She felt her headache and hangover vanish slowly. Cat beamed, “It’s odd not hearing you in my head.”
Catherine shrugged but her grin didn’t diminish a single notch, “Well, deal with it. You’re not getting rid of me so soon and I’m not going to hell anymore.”
Cat pulled Catherine in and the waspish girl almost flew toward her. She embraced her. “I would never. I love you, little jumper.”
“I love you too, my twin sister,” Catherine replied.
They parted. Cat felt her lips cracking. “Does anyone have some water?”
The fairy giggled and they heard a rumble and then the sound of water pouring from the cave wall, “Help yourself. Straight from the mountain water table.”
“Please put me down, Jack,” Cat requested. “I think I can stand on my own.”
She drank her fill from the pure glittering spring water, feeling a warmth spread inside of her. She felt energized by it. Stealing a glance at the fairy, she raised an eyebrow.
“I might’ve added a little spice to the water,” the mischievous spirit confessed. Now it made sense why the water was glittering in her aura sense.
“Don’t mind if I do,” she cupped her hands and drank as much as she could from the water. She stopped when she felt close to bursting. Cat stared at her own hand and saw that her aura had more than tripled in strength. It was closer to Shinji’s in brightness but still dimmer than either Alice or the Shaman.
Hydrated and energized, she felt as if she could take on the world. She looked at Jack and then back to Catherine. “Sister, I need your help back here,” she stated with a hand grasping behind her back. “Can you release my bra? It’s too tight.”
feeling suspicious and looking like she’d sucked on a lemon, Catherine approached until their noses almost touched. Or until her nose almost touched Cat’s lips. “What happened to you? You’re not wearing a wig, you look taller than me, and...” she stood on the tip of her toes and stared deep in her eyes, “these eyelashes aren’t glued on. Now you want me to loosen your bra?” The girl's voice broke and rose an octave at "bra".
Cat pulled an arm inside her clothes, deftly wiggling it inside the sleeve. She reached behind her back, testing the extra flexibility she’d requested from the demon. It was still hard to unhook the bra with a single hand. She withdrew the other arm inside her clothes and then removed the shoulder straps to rotate the bra and unclasp it. “Nevermind, I did it on my own,” She chuckled.
Catherine hissed and groped her sister. Betrayed, she bemoaned, “You asked the demon for bigger boobs? Seriously? Ugh!” She cringed.
"Look," Cat defended herself, "I needed to misdirect him so he didn't catch up on my true goals. Appearing vain like a spoiled heiress was what worked," she shrugged.
Catherine stomped her feet and threw a tantrum. Cat giggled and hugged the girl, making sure to squish Catherine against her breasts just to spite her further.
Jack whistled and wished he was anywhere else. The fairy was having the time of her life but clapped her hands, “Off you go. My debt is settled, Hero. Do visit if you are in the region. Ask the Shaman to teach you the spell to open the way, you can probably use it now.”
The lantern floated back to Catherine’s hand and the three vacated the cave, not wishing to anger the spirit. Cat threw an arm around Catherine’s shoulder. “Just to make it clear, you’re the little sister.”
Catherine grunted in annoyance before she broke down giggling. She wrapped her arms around Cat’s waist. “Okay, ‘big’ sister. You’ll see the consequences of your choices when they sag.”
Outside, the two were hugged, licked, headbutted, and greeted by everyone present. The Shaman reminded the sisters of their promise to help restore the Washoe heritage sites around the sacred lake, to which they answered in unison. They would start buying property around the lake and converting it into conservation units.

Mr. Mouser seemed to be the most confused of them all. The Wirehair sniffed one girl than the other, climbed them to chew their hair, and finally settled on Catherine’s arms.
“Where to now?” Jack asked. “It’s rather late and we all deserve some rest.”
Cat grinned. “Home, please.”
Home, however, was a continent away and the military would not borrow them the jet as there was no ongoing crisis. The Wallenstein sisters rented out a few hotel floors on Carson City and threw a private party for everyone. The first of many.
----------------------------------------
Cat and Catherine slept on the same bed, the two sisters still used to sharing the same body. Nothing naughty happened (besides Catherine confirming that her sister got two cup sizes from her Deal, among other gifts) but they needed to stay close to each other. They’d spent a whole year sharing the same body. None of them could find the quiet required to fall asleep so it turned into a family pajama party.
“I can’t believe you are pregnant,” Cat said. “I requested him to restore your body to the exact way it was right before you jumped, but I didn’t expect it to come with all the bells and whistles.”
Catherine rubbed her belly under the sheets. “I even had the pliers I’d used to cut the wire fence. But yes, the baby is back in the oven. And I’m having him and we’re going to raise and spoil him a lot.”
Cat grinned and ruffled her sister’s hair, “We are. He’s the future of the Wallenstein family. I can’t have babies.”
“You can hire a surrogate womb. Your eggs are fine and Esther already has some of them frozen. We just need Jack to...”
“I’m not having Jack’s babies!” Cat protested. “If you want some, make some yourself. I bet it would be suuuper hard for you to do it with Jack.”
“Shut up!” Catherine blushed and pushed her away. She bashfully added, “do you think I have a chance?” Cat half-grinned, half-grimaced as she held her constitutional right to silence. “You’re insufferable. Ugh, why did I have to fall on you of all people?”
Cat put a finger over Catherine’s lips. “Never mention that again. William is dead. I was him once, but now I’m this. I’m… damn, what am I going to call myself now? Do you mind changing names so I can keep ‘Catherine’?”
The other girl giggled, “No way. Get your own!”
“Then I’m naming myself Catriel Wallenstein. Damn, I’m going to need all my documents. Right now I own nothing.” Catriel slumped and stared at the hotel room ceiling. She asked like a pirate. “How are we splitting the loot, mate?”
Catherine put her hand out of the blankets and counted on her fingers, “Once a DNA test proves you are my twin sister, you’ll be included in the Dynasty Trust as a beneficiary and we’ll be co-trustees. I’ll keep the personal trust Dad bequeathed to me and mom’s Foundation. You’ll keep everything you earned since you took over. The SPAC shares, the business here in Nevada, the live streaming, Youtube channels, merchandise, sponsor deals, day trading.”
“What about Mr. Mouser,” Cat asked about the Wirehair sleeping and purring at the foot of the bed.
“He’s basically people now that Alice made him magical,” Catherine answered. “My baby will do whatever he wants to.” Mr. Mouser raised his head and meowed loudly. He sauntered over and licked each girl once. They giggled. “There you go, that’s your answer.”
----------------------------------------
“I’m sorry our partnership didn’t go forward, Dione,” Catriel said. “Now that I rescued my sister, we’re going back to New Jersey.”
The studio CEO grimaced. “It’s hard to lose one of my top earners. But I got plenty of girls working here thanks to your fame, Catherine. Friends?” The woman offered her hand. Cat shook on it.
She got all her stuff and Agatha out of the studio rental and paid the early termination penalty, sending Theresa a check for the value of the security deposit. Catriel Wallenstein wasn’t shy about spending her hard-earned money.
Outside the apartment building, surrounded by luggage, she hugged the lawyer. “It’s over, Agatha. We’re back to normalcy.”
Agatha stared at Catriel from her fiery red locks to her finely clad toes. “What’s normal?” The young woman wondered. “I’m still not believing there’s two of you now.”
“Oh, c’mon!” Catriel shoved Agatha gently, careful now that she had superhuman strength. She couldn’t break a wrench in two, though. She’d tried. “You helped me write the story. The demon cultists forced mom to join them because they found and kept hostage my twin sister, stolen and separated at birth. Mrs. Wallenstein died as she infiltrated the cult’s last stronghold to rescue her daughter. Mom will pass into history as a hero.”
Agatha knew how much the girl next to her, Catriel, Cathy, or Catherine, whoever she was, she loved her late mother.
“All right. ‘It’s magic, I ain’t gotta explain shit’,” the lawyer quoted the meme.
“The government already issued my identification and social security number, I got them this morning. I didn’t even need to pull some strings at the White House. It was my goddamn right once the DNA test proved I’m Catherine’s twin sister.”
“Okay, okay. You’re the boss,” the lawyer still sounded skeptical but she gave up as the back Uber station wagon parked next to them.
“Miss Wallenstein?” the driver asked as he lowered the passenger window.
“That’s us," Catriel leaned against the window. "Would you be a sweetheart and help us load the luggage on the trunk?” She asked with a smile. The driver seemed awestruck by her figure. She knew very well the effect she had on men. She’d been there.

Esmeralda and Jake rushed back to their old jobs once Catherine announced the Wallenstein mansion was back in business. The housekeeper was delighted to know she now had two "daughters and a grandson" in the oven. Life at the Englewood Cliffs mansion was back to normal, but the sisters still missed their mother. That one month they pretended everything was fine between them left bittersweet memories.
"I'm keeping my own room," Catherine declared. "You never showed the appreciation required to inherit my closet. And my size zero clothes won't fit you, now that you've become a cow."
Catriel let out peals of laughter as she brushed her sister's envy aside and made sure to cross her arms underneath her chest to prop her boobs up. "Best boob job ever," she sneered back.
Catherine childishly poked her tongue at her sister before hugging her.
"I'm taking over mom's room. Maybe I'll renovate it. Don't worry, I don't want your teen wardrobe. But I have a welcome gift for you. It's gold-plated and cost twenty-four grand," Cat pointed at the bathroom door. "It's in there waiting for you."
Catherine's eyes gleamed. "You didn't!?!"
Catriel showed the LELO cufflinks adorning her shirt, "I did."
With a squeal, Catherine ran into the bathroom and slammed the door behind her. Catriel shook her head and chuckled at her sister's antics.
A couple of minutes later, she heard Catherine shout from the bathroom, "AHHH, it hurts! Help! Get it off!"
Catriel sputtered a few chuckles and rushed in to help her sister. She used all her demon-slaying willpower to keep from telling Catherine, "I told you so."

“No way!” The Wallenstein sisters protested in unison when Alice rejected their offer to move in with them.
“We have a huge backyard for the wolves, and a lot of parks close by,” Catherine said as she patted her round belly. “They’ll love the Cliffs!”
“Why would you keep paying rent here if you can live with us for free? Look, we’ll ask Agatha to draft us a rental contract, we’ll rent you a room for a dime a month,” Catriel insisted.
“And then we can go to college together!” Catherine added.
“College? Seriously?” Alice asked.
“Oh, yes!” Catriel snapped her fingers, then asked Catherine, “Didn’t the Foundation start a scholarship program for orphaned girls in vulnerable situations?”
Catherine cackled and giggled, “That’s right! I almost forgot! We started this program yesterday and we’re looking for applications.”
Both sisters stared at the wolf whisperer. “Co-college? I barely passed my High School proficiency exam!” Alice protested.
Catriel rolled her eyes. “C’mon. College is only thirty percent about studying. Now that Shinji went back to Japan, you must be feeling so lonely,” she purred and ran a finger along Alice’s collarbone.
Catherine grabbed her sister's fingers and pulled them away, “Hands off, lady-killer.”
Alice stopped resisting and grinned, “Fine. I’ll move in and let you girls spoil me,” she giggled. “Which college we’re attending?”
“I don’t remember the name,” Catriel admitted, “but it’s in Wyoming. We start next semester with the freshmen.”
