Chapter 4: the beginning is near

It’s been two days since the Robbert left. When he left I was beginning to feel excited, but I tried to be as calm as possible. While I wait I can explain some things about my “Friends”. When I sleep they are able to control my body, furthermore if there’s a situation that makes my mind clouded, they can forcibly take over. I am also able to give them freely control over my body, but when I do that it feels weird. It’s almost as if I’m looking through a screen. Anyway today or tomorrow I’ll be transported towards this unknown location. I can’t wait until I’m in the New World.

While I think this, the door suddenly opens and a man steps in. he rushes towards me and before I’m able to react injects me with something. I already thought this kind of scene would happen, but it still scared me. I try to focus, but everything starts to become blurry and then finally everything becomes black.

I wake up strapped at a table. I’m confused, why am I strapped on a table?

This questions keeps going through my head. I cannot move my head and can only look into a light that is way to bright. After an unknown time I hear people walking towards me, but I can’t do anything. I feel that a group of people stand right beside me, but I don’t see them but hear them

It scares me, but then Death comforts me with his emotionless voice.

After some time I hear one of them asking me to count to ten. I do what he says and while I’m counting the room seems to become more and more distorting. Then a white flash happens right before my eyes and I lose conscience.

When I wake up the first thing that I realise is that im in a room. It’s a room that seems to go on endlessly but htats not the problem, oh no, the problem is that it is WHITE! Seriues why is everything white? Anyway, after a few minutes of screaming and cursing I realised that there was a blue box in front of me. It read the following

after I was done panicking, again. I realised I was in some kind of menu and I was right. The moment I thought that the blue box should disappear it did, but another one came shortly afterwards.

Suddenly the room turns into a landscape with beautifull flowers and trees. Im a bit startled and do not know how to respond and then I hear a voice right beside my ear.

While the voice talks I turn around to look where the voice comes from but do not find anything

I see a menu and see hundreds of races, but I have no idea what to do. I thought that I would have to be a human, but apparently I was wrong. I start to panic again, this time it is bad. I curl up into a ball and start trembling. This happens when things suddenly change when I have no idea that it would. I begin to breath very fast and it keeps getting worse and worse. Then my friends try to comfort me.

at first it is Plague she begins to tell me stories, you might think why she does it, but it makes me listen to her. Her story is about a girl that lost everything and tries to get everything back. Afterwards War starts asking me a few questions and then Desire says something that makes me feel embarrassed.

- You can let the System choose your race, remember?-

When I hear that I begin to calm down and realise that it is true and I stand up. Still shivering a bit.

“i-i-I want the System to choose my race.”

Then a pop-up suddenly appears in my vision.

Are you Sure?

“y-y-yes I am sure”

if you were to hear my voice you would shake your head, because it didn’t sound convincing at all.

but then I start to feel a change in my body and a lot of pop-ups come in front of me.

Now creating a new race
