“Woah, I’m faster now, almost fast like Jules,” Eli’s lips curled into a smile as his skin started cracking, evaporating like a mist under a sun.
Suddenly, the bathroom door swung open, and Jules emerged with a towel wrapped around their body. Water drips from the hair strands.
“What the fuck! I thought you were gone!” Jules’ cheeks turned crimson red as they instinctively covered their body.
“Are you really a guy? Why is your chest wrapped with a towel? Why not your waist?” Eli tilts his head as he scratches the back of his head.
“Yes! I am a guy, asshole!” Jules grits his teeth.
Eli’s lips curled into a sly smile.
“Prove it. Show me your chest~”
Jules’ eyes widened at the request.
“No! You weird asshole!”
“Why not?! If you’re a guy, then it should be no biggie! Look, I’ll prove it!” Eli grabbed the hem of his shirt and took it off.
“Okay, okay, fine!” Jules slowly pulled his towel down until Levi entered the apartment.
“What the fuck is going on here?” Levi’s face goes blank at the sight.
“Anyways, Eli, you need to move up in the rankings. We are in the south region of the A-District. You do know how many districts there are, right?” Levi crossed his arms.

“Duh, I live here. There’s the A, B, C, and D-District. Is there really a Delinquent Council in each district?” Eli scratched the back of his head.
“Yes, obviously. The city we reside in, San Verde, is controlled by a crime organization called the Golden Arco. My theory is that the Delinquent Council is regulated by the Golden Arco. How else would the Delinquent Council gain its funds and continue its rampage?” Levi whispered.
“Eli,” Levi placed his hand on Eli’s shoulder. “To destroy the Delinquent Council means destroying the Golden Arco. There’s a long way. We need allies to help us.”
Eli’s stomach drops.
Golden Arco? A crime organization? Would that mean that I’ll need to fight against gangs, which will definitely have weapons?
Eli nods hesitantly.
“Don’t worry, that’s why you got us!” Levi grins as he smacks Eli’s back.

“I guess so; what’s your suggestion?” Levi crossed his arms.
“Hm, I guess we can call us… Eli Fam… I suppose that sounds selfish 'cause I’m putting my name without you guys,” Eli sighed as he ran his hand through his hair.
“Well, we did join you. I guess we are the Eli Fam,” Levi pats Eli’s shoulders.

[Next Day]
Eli is in class, sitting next to Jules, their desk pushed together.
“Psst! We should order fried chicken later,” Jules leaned closer to Eli, whispering in Eli’s ear.
“With what money? We’re barely surviving with noodles,” Eli sighed as he looked down at his notebook.
“I gambled and got some money with some students. They got mad, so I beat them up and perhaps stole their money,” Jules giggled.

“That’s good then…” Charlotte muttered.

Charlotte’s breath hitched in her throat. She stood quiet for a couple of seconds.
“Personal reasons,” Charlotte turned her heel and walked away.

Jules and Eli walked home. They walked through a tunnel, but students blocked the exit.
